My favorite anime series is Baccano!. Really an outstanding anime, with a full cast of characters in only 16 episodes. I believe you can watch them all on Hulu and the official Funimation site. I don't recommend the English dub.

    Here's the opening:

I enjoyed the first Paranormal Activity, on a level, and I also loved Catfish. I haven't seen number two, but I think I will give number three a try.

I think Paranormal Activity will lose its touch for me because my ghost believing friends that I saw the first one with, will no longer think the ghosts in this one are real.

Okay, I was thinking if they haven't changed it they would simply call it "the first Icarus," instead of "Icarus I."

Kind of like naming your ship Titanic II.

    Yes, hot.

Oh, I wasn't referring to "Icarus," I was referring to the "I" part. If they call it that, you know there's gonna be a sequel.

Oh my god, this movie. Saw it for the first time about a year ago. I enjoyed the first half much more than the rest, but the second half grew on me eventually.

The last movie I've seen was American Beauty.

Very enjoyable movie. Such an important mission, the characters dare not mess it up. Haven't seen it in a while, but I think my favorite part is when the crew receives the distress signal from the Icarus I. Why would you call a ship on a critical mission "Icarus I"? It was doomed to fail the moment they came up with that name.

I believe Cillian Murphy's character does die, but the creators decided not to to show it. Think they just simply wanted to show his reaction to him succeeding his mission.

Also, there was some talk somewhere (commentary?) about how maybe the person that committed suicide didn't commit suicide at all, but rather killed by the crew member of Icarus I.

That expression shows up a few times in Re:CoM. A sort of default for Donald's "attack mode" but without a weapon.

There are sequels to The Butterfly Effect, unseen by me, but I heard they're totally unrelated to the first, with different characters and settings.

The last movie I saw was Notes on a Scandal. Very dark, with absolutely brilliant performances by the two main cast.

These "controversies" are quite pathetic, just passing scandals. When I read this thread's title I was thinking of something among the lines of Aladdin, where all the characters are ethnic, except for Aladdin and Jasmine who look white. Or maybe Pinocchio, the scariest rated-G movie ever made, with it's smoking, tobacco using, turning themselves into jackasses little boys.

About Fantasia, there was already a controversy involving a scene with a racist stereotype, it was removed in 1960. Read here.

The fact that the people and organizations fighting for this have to lie to the public to try to get their way says a great deal about their plight. If this is a debate, it's a debate fought with lies. Governments shouldn't be able to interfere with something as personal as someone's religion or funeral.

This is false, America was founded and people came to America to escape religion. Freedom of religion as it is called.

Here are some more games to add to my list.

Silent Hill Series: I've only played one through three. They're so moody and creepy, psychological horror at it's best. Thinking of skipping ahead to the latest installment, which some people are calling a work of art.

Resident Evil Series: It's hard to not put a series you grew up with into your favorites list. I love the Resident Evil universe. Only now do I realize the voice acting was so bad and dialogue so cheesy in the early Resident Evil games. The Chronicles series take me back, and I think my favorite RE game is Code: Veronica. I have never played number 5.

The Sims: The Sims will always have a place in my heart as the game that sparked my interest in computer programming. This game was so easily modded and hacked, a kid can do it. It's too bad I lost all my hacked objects and custom skins. I've made only one object since then, a stackable box that could also be used as a table, it's in the shape if Portal's companion cube. If you want to download it, I have it hosted here. Also, here's a picture.

I might still add more if I think if them.

I haven't read your post regarding Beyond Good & Evil, because I don't want to spoil it for myself. I've always wanted to play it, as I've heard nothing but good things about that game. It's now the first game on my to-buy list on PSN when I get a PS3. Thanks for reminding me.

Nice tidbit, and awesome link. I find it sad that I know a few people my age (19) and older that didn't even question this movie's science. Try watching 2001: A Space Odyssey and Armageddon on the same day. Although I usually have no problem with impossible science or fantasy in movies/media, Armageddon's is just too distracting. I found this movie perfectly enjoyable when it first came out though.

I'm starting to think that this asteroid is just an excuse to blow something up.
