I think Vanitas is Riku's brother or maybe father. I mean look at the similiar battle-stance and the clothes. Anyway he has some sort of connection to Riku, that's for sure.
In theater mode you can choose english or japanese so thats how it's possible, but an completly japanese KH2FM does not exist.
