People tried that to me once...I then pushed L3 and my delorean flew and they took out each other.
Ok, now that I am awake, my take: Spoiler I'll admit, that this is the first movie i've watched in a long time that there were sections that truely made me squirm. This is also the first movie that I can honestly say had me on the edge of my seat and I never once checked my watch till the end. It's R for a reason with the amount of action and violence plus it's funny to hear people saying fook instead of...welll you know. Spoiler The fact that this movie blends elements of political and morality with in the main character (i can't pronounce his first name D:) is so damn convincing that you are instantly able to connect with him during the opening documentarianistic manner of story telling. The director did a fantastic job interweving themes of immigration, persecution, class, and power into an alien story that we've never really seen before. The simple fact that aliens basically pulled a Christopher Columbus instead of War of the Worlds or Independence Day and yet, we made the first move is a twist we've not really seen. I'm not going to lie, if this director teamed up with Peter Jackson on HALO....wow.
Looks like I failed to read the fine print -.-
You aren't from (removed) are you? Good ol' Joesph Smith Memorial Building. keke
wait...when did Aura join the game? *fails*
How can their not be a thread for this movie!? D: Just got in from seeing the midnight showing and I was blown away by this. Once i'm slightly more awake and coherant, i'll elaborate on what it was the intrigued me the most. In the mean time, discuss won't you?
I'm interested in hearing more about that.
OMG You're an admin /gasp
Attempt....thoughts?
Just curious, where was the production? I tried to get my hs to put on RENT but they wouldn't because of a loophole or something. I tried to get tickets to the Broadway tour in Denver...but that didn't work out.
I am indeed a RENThead. Amazing music, even more amazing musical. I'm jealous that you were able to see it live. La Vie Boheme and the opening are my favorites
Come over here and try and hit me...
I can see both sides of this argument. Naturally, alcohol impares your judgement and weapons are the worst case scenario if a bar fight grows out of hand. This feels like a step back into the wild west. However, if you are carrying a concealed weapon permit and decide you want to walk into a bar to meet friends I think that you should be allowed to and not be forced to head home and lock up the gun only to head out again. If you have a concealed weapon, you have it for a reason. Obviously, no matter which of these arguments you look at, fire arms are dangerous even in trained hands. Bars are one area that guns shouldn't be allowed in my opinion.
Reptar is bringing guns to a knife fight it seems.
Maybe it is a metaphor for my activites this summer and I have therefore failed the summer? Or it's my way of taking it to the rainbow...one can...
