Spoiler Well, the stories I'm hearing have all eleven Doctors brought together by River. Then again there's nothing to back that up so I guess we'll have to wait and see. Oh dear, I'll have to wait for Monday afternoon to see Bells of St. John. Guess I'll go hide for a bit. ;____;
The Series 3 Master episode, The Sound of Drums? That was a single episode, and the Doctor was very much alive, it just focused on Saxon is all. Well it's a possibility I suppose.. Anything can happen with Doctor Who?
Well... What, like have a couple of stand alone episodes for the companions that would eventually lead up to some sort of Doctor's return? It seems much too edgy, and I'm not too sure people would receive that very well. I know I have my doubts about such a thing.
True on all counts, but realistically speaking, why end the show now? It's on such a high and there's still two more regenerations left (as far as we know, as per that discussion with Misty a few pages back). So many more stories to tell. Moffat and Smith may go but the show can still go on in new directions.
Nights why ;__________; But okay I do see your point, it may well be Clara with him Trenzalore. But then again he'd just regenerate wouldn't he? How do you mean 'end' of The Doctor?
Well some of the other companions though changed by the Doctor, turned out okay..? Then again yeah given Clara's current track record I don't see a happy ending coming.
Yeah, I've seen some transcripts in my travels of the internet, I love our fandom. Spoiler Yes I guess Clara's nature could have that effect on him too, other than intriguing the Doctor with the whole 'only mystery worth solving' biz. I like how she really went after Eleven in The Snowmen, how she chases after him, evades Strax and even goes so far as to locate the TARDIS up on a cloud. All that plus she's crazy clever, impossibly charming and overall just a challenge to him that he can't resist (waving at Clara from the pond, testing her with the umbrella). Everything about her not only pulled Eleven out of his isolation but got him so hopeful and excited that he took off in search of her with no plan or lead whatsoever. He's incredibly vulnerable now, so Clara's loss will break him, if and when it happens. So it'll go both ways, one before the other I suppose.
Misty........ That was so beautiful I just can't ;___; No seriously, as a fellow Eleven die-hard, from the bottoms of both my hearts thank you, that was brilliantly put. (And did you memorize all of those quotes?? 0___o) I like your perspective on how Eleven views Clara, I hadn't really looked at it that way! Think I'll rewatch The Snowmen again tonight and figure that in.
Names of the following two episodes revealed, but not the finale. Oh the suspense. http://doctorwho.tumblr.com/post/46641595103/the-next-three-titles-of-doctor-who-series-7-2
I think the disconnection from 9 and 10 wasn't just for the sake of making it feel 'new', I think it also lies in Eleven's character (which well, Moffat made). Spoiler Going back to Ten's regeneration, he really didn't want to regenerate, as he so painfully stated with his final words. Seconds later, Eleven comes in, the complete goofball he was, showing no traces of remorse or desire to return to all the people he'd come across as Ten. In my opinion, Eleven sort of ignores his past to a certain extent (hence his reaction to meeting River again, perhaps.) He hides his pain, his anger and all those feelings under his happy 'face of a 12 year old' persona. One really good example was in Let's Kill Hitler when pulling up that interface while he was dying; he couldn't bear to see Rose, Martha and Donna's faces, or at least didn't want to see them. Eleven likes to escape his problems (as with the farewell tour in Series 6) and avoid mention or confrontation as much as possible. He has this false notion that he hated everything of his past selves, that he was better now, and that everything from here on out will be okay. When this was disproven with the Ponds' departure, he snapped. He's changed, that's for sure, but whether he will bury his problems even deeper or become more open with Clara remains to be unknown, though knowing him I think he might choose the former. I like how Moffat added this to his character, but then there's the downside of cutting off virtually anything from RDT's run. Seeing as the denial was an internal trait of The Doctor, Moffat could've still brought in elements and characters, maybe victims from the Time War, (thankfully UNIT is back) and then some. Maybe we'll see this clearly in the 50th anniversary, maybe we won't, who knows. Brian WAS a good addition! Almost reminiscent of Jackie and Wilfred, it actually helps me connect Moffat's run to RDT's coz it gives Amy and Rory's real life a little more depth, just as the previous companions did.
Back from living in the mountains. T'was refreshing ^____^
Eleven's my doctor, and therefore Moffat's my guy. I loved the previous set (by which I mean 9 and 10) but there's something in the way Doctor Who was err, re-branded as Moffat took over. The overall feel of the show changed, there were more tracks that were memorable and fit their parts perfectly, (Amy in the TARDIS, I am the Doctor, Doctor Who XI) and of course the writing and progression of each of the series. The overarching story is established at the start, more or less Spoiler (cracks, Silence, Clara), and of course, he brought us River and the Ponds (and Clara) If there's one thing I don't like about what he did, it's how there's virtually no connection to the previous run. Sure it makes for an easy way to get into Doctor Who - as I did - but a lot of elements/characters from the previous stories that are still around like Captain Jack, Martha, mentions of the Time War, or even any mention at all of the previous companions weren't squeezed in at all. Maybe it's part of Eleven's character that he's turned his back on all those things, but it would have helped to have a little more connection to Ten.
Agreed, I like the relevance of the plot! In fact I'm liking what I'm seeing in terms of enemies, they got really creative with this half season. The Rings of Akhaten's antagonist (or whatever that giant scary red face was) has piqued my interest, especially since Jenna says it's her favourite episode~ Yeah, wasn't present day Clara saying 'run you clever boy' in the trailer? I suppose things leak between the three Claras, yeah good observation. Shame she won't remember half the inside jokes they've already got though XD Still kinda mourning the Ponds coz I just caught up a few days ago, but I'm totes excited. Heck even without the fact that this is Doctor Who, and all the amazing stories Jenna's dimples are enough reason to be excited.
Yeah, nothing much behind that article according to this http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/s7/d...n-matt-smith-christmas-departure-reports.html Also, new trailer! http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/s7/d...ew-the-bells-of-st-john-trailer-released.html Oh BBC is just spoiling us now.
Wasn't there an announcement saying he'd be back for series 8? But then again I have no source to back me up so... I personally don't think so though. Spoiler There's too much going on, with Clara's mystery, and The Fields of Trenzalore plots, plus the 50th anniversary stuff. Too much to wrap up in 3/4 of a year.
I for one am going to just chill with my guitar in the dark and like, think about stuff. And sleep without aircon tonight, always my way of 'going beyond the hour' as they like to say, that and other things.
I liked Blake's VA, the voice I mean, it was fitting. Adam's as well. But in my opinion the way the lines were delivered were a little low-energy. Time will tell, I suppose. Perhaps it's just for this one trailer. I felt the same way about Aqua's english VA for BBS, based on the trailer when it came out, but eventually as I played the game she managed to deliver.
Y'all know the drill, one hour this Saturday night, (8:30-9:30) lights off in a global effort to raise awareness on environmental problems. Just wanted to ask, (if you're participating, that is, which I hope you are), what will you guys be doing for Earth Hour? Any 'I Will if You Will' s?
Oh. Well okay then, see you when I see you~
And I'm about to leave for an hour.... Oh Glob.
