    "...It resides.
    It sleeps.
    From the heavens...
    "

His fingers twitched. Shinryu was slowly regaining consciousness after the fall. How long was I...? Something bright was glowing in his face.

    "...rains Hell from the skies.
    Annihilation sparks from...
    "

Who is that? Is someone... He slowly opened his eyes.

"...The true, inner self must awaken..."

The bright thing in his face turned out to be a small white crystal the size of a small pebble. Something was odd about it though. Omega was standing not to far away from him. Regaining control of his body, he picked himself up.

Omega turned his head toward the shuffling for a moment. "You're up," he said to the boy, "So, how do you like what I did to the place?"

After rubbing his eyes with his hands, he realized where he was. Oerba! Everything that sank into the darkness was here, exactly where it once stood. Every single thing that once was in, at, or above Oerba was here. But nothing moved. The flames didn't flicker. All the ash, dust, and embers were suspended in the air. Even the air itself was still. Time had stopped for the entire village, or rather, time had never existed here.

"Beautiful, isn't it? Beautiful...but sad." Omega looked away from it all. "This is what's left of Oerba. It can never be destroyed or erased, but it can never be restored. It won't see the Pulsian sunrise ever again or feel the winds blowing through its streets. What you see is a phantom, one forgotten by time," he confessed. He stared up into the empty "sky". "Right now, Oerba's just a black dot on the face of the Gran Pulse. Nothing will go near it. Not the animals. Not the plants. Not even the wind and rain. And if people have as much sense as nature does, they won't either."

The only worlds that I could see being DLC would be something along the lines of the Mirage Arena or a throwback to past worlds like End of the World, but with zero to very little story relevance.

Job's done. Time to fetch the Dragon. Omega cupped his hands over his mouth and blew a small amount of his energy into them, coalescing into a small, white light in which he held out in his right hand towards Shinryu's general direction. Bright enough to see from long distances, he hoped that this would catch the Dragon's eye and lure him here.

Out of the corner of his eye, an odd light piqued Shin's curiosity. It called out to him. "Power," said a voice that echoed within him as he stared at the light, "Give me more...power." He looked back at Lightning, Leo, and everyone. "I'm sorry," he mouthed. Jumping off Alexander, he went from roof to roof towards the light. The closer he got, the more visible the light holder became. Of course it'd be you. It's always you. At the last sinking building before Omega, he makes one final leap...

He smirked. The light in his hand died out. When Shin was in arm's reach Omega tightly grabbed him by his shirt collar and together plummeted down into the Void. "Do you want to see Oerba?" he whispered into the boy's ear before they passed through the black ground.

1: Basing off of this image, the water came from underground. Which is reasonable, seeing how in KH1 you start well below the castle.
2: Going off of the above, all the water returned underground after the worlds were restored. But if the Cavern of Remembrance tells us anything, the Organization preserved the section of the falls where they kept the Garden of Assemblage isolated from the rest of the world. The hallway to the garden, Transport to Remembrance, also has the falls one on side.
3: Different area due to the world becoming whole once again and in the process of being restored.

Omega's eyes widened when Argent called out to them. Don't attack, don't attack, don't attack, don't- As soon as the ground detonated, all of the black tendrils retracted and Omega was sent flying. Dammit! He lost control of the spell, causing a hole to open up where he unleashed it. He quickly recovered while in mid-air and shot towards Argent in a rage, lifting him into the air by his throat upon contact.

"Run," Shin advised Mia. He had a really bad idea about what was going to happen. "Just..." In the areas where the earth was black, everything started to collapse and sink. And with it still spreading, it would only be matter of time before the same happens to them. "RUN!" he, surprisingly, shouted to everyone.

"The only magical thing about this is ripping the hole in dimensions. You're just as safe as everyone else, little girl," Omega growled. "Let Oerba, and all within it, be imprisoned in a timeless landscape!" he declared before plunging his right hand into the ground and releasing Banishga into the earth. The ground beneath him turned pitch black and, from there, began to spread throughout the village. Meanwhile countless black threads burst out from the darkness and latched onto everything and anything to drag them into the Void. Houses, trees, rubble, ash, various corpses and living creatures, even the flames were consumed. Omega, too, was no exception as a multitude of threads had tightly wrapped around him.

Shinryu climbed up Alexander and stood next to Mia, nearly drained of energy. Something fast in the skies caught his eye. He looked up to see that it was only a bird. Nothing out of the ordinary other than it seemed to be fleeing for its life, but what isn't in this world? Everyone here pretty much was. Unexpectedly, black tentacle-things twisted themselves around the bird and seemingly consumed it before retracting back. What the...! The boy looked towards the direction the bird came from and saw a spreading darkness swallowing the village from the inside. He froze. Terror and fear swept over him as he knew what was coming this way. You were never bluffing when you threatened sink a place in the Rift, were you?

Shinryu, battered, bruised, and bleeding from all the fighting, was in the middle of sweeping up groups of soldiers when Leo called everyone to Alexander. Sure, he wasn't a l'Cie, but this was his only out of an endless fight. And with nearly everyone's focus either on the Eidolon or the others, an inside attack wouldn't hurt would it? Running towards Alexander, the boy used the full length of his lance to knock down anyone and everyone in his way. However, after taking down a small cluster of enemies in front of him with a Blitz, he didn't notice Mya behind them in time and was about to take off her head before stopping himself at the last second. Backing off, he continued on past her and towards Alexander.

Although Bio had no effect on Omega, everything else did and weakened him greatly. Now enraged, he made the decision to "preserve" Oerba and everyone in it. He never did quite understand why people rebuild towns and cities only to have it destroyed eventually either by the people themselves or an outside force. If he's going to do this he needed to get on the ground, first of all. So when Linegia came in for another blow, he dropped Blood Sword and stopped the incoming blade with his right fist, nearly splitting his hand down the middle in the process. In a dark and slightly monstrous tone, he said to her, "Who said I had to reach them?" He kicked off of her and fell straight to the ground, dropping to his knees upon landing and out of breath. Dark energies soon covered his entire right arm. It was similar to what happens when he's about to cast Banish but it was obvious this was on a much larger scale.

Omega got up with his back towards Linegia and wiped the dirt and dust off of his shirt. "I would laugh so hard if you guys do take Cocoon out of the sky and nothing happens due to a lack of souls. Wouldn't you? Of course, your eyes would turn to Gran Pulse after that. Then I'd have no choice but to intervene, unlike the situation now." He looked around the area. This place is done for. I really might have to sink this place in the Void. Speaking of which, did I ever close- Off to the side was the still open portal to the Void he came out from. No. No I did not. It faded back to nothing with a snap of his fingers. With the Void on his mind and Linegia intent on killing him, all of his past defeats came back to him vividly. Then suddenly, Omega attacked her with a flurry of roundhouse kicks, ending with a heel drop.

The light from Holy dulled his senses for a few seconds while it was eroding his body, blood dripping out from small cracks in his skin. "Oh, well that was slightly nostalgic. Not quite up there with Ultima or Alexander, though, but not mediocre either," Omega commented on the spell as his senses returned. "I'm curious. Do you keep track of the total human population of Cocoon and have it updated on a daily basis? Also..." he asked her before proceeding to backhand her in the face to knock her off him, "...it's very rude to sit on either a guest or a host. It gives others bad impression of you, regardless if you care or not."

Seeing Leo enter the field with his Eidolon reminded Shinryu of the power he once wielded. The power to rain down devastation and ruin to the entire planet. The power to end to all things eternal. The power to instill fear to all life, even the gods themselves, by just hearing his name. That is what he missed. He knew that deep inside him it was still there, asleep with no way of waking. But with Omega around, most likely keeping an eye on him from time to time, regaining that lost power's just a dream. The boy sighed. Maybe it's for the best that it doesn't happen. "Adapt or Die," as they say. And I'm not planning on dying here. His attention focused off Grey and to the army, as they were the higher threat.

Omega laid on the ground for a moment before rising back to his feet in less than a second. He covered his mouth as he yawned. "Why don't I show you the real use of Reverse Polarity, hm?" A white circle appeared under the each of them. "Usually, this is a function specifically for machines. But on very rare occasions there's a l'Cie that can learn this for defensive use. Don't try escaping it. You're already locked in." In a flash, they switched positions. "And there we go. Now if you'll excuse me, my sword has been feeling a bit parched for the past few centuries now. And seeing how there's a massive blood bank in town, you'll know where I'll be." Omega fled the scene again, this time flying off. Should Linegia follow...well, she wanted to play, didn't she? The least he could do was oblige for a bit.

"What the hell...?" Omega muttered as he watched the airships descend into town. "Just as things were going to get fun... Playtime's over, Linegia. Go do as you wish. I have work to do," he said to her before quitting the field on foot. On his way to the main group, while powering down, Blood Sword started to shake in his hand. In response he grabbed the blade with his free hand and spoke to it lovingly, "Patience, my crimson blade. There will be something for you to feast on soon enough. Just look at all of those ships in the sky..." Thinking about all of the lives each airship contained sent shivers down his spine. Omega took a deep breath to contain his excitement, but couldn't hold in a grin. "Yes, what a great feast this will be."

OOC: Well everyone who's in Oerba is still in Oerba. Argent's fending off Shiva and Cid and he just called in an airship fleet from Cocoon, Grey irritated Shinryu off with a single part of his announcement to complete his Focus to the point where Shin attacked him, Omega got Linegia to snap, and Leo is still on his way there. Yeah that's pretty much what happened.

BIC: With a flick of his wrist, Shinryu slashed Grey's hand away with enough force to just draw blood. He turned his weapon around to have a look at the blade, examining it for anything while gathering his thoughts. The airships descending from Cocoon didn't faze him of it. "...Y-You're not...Pulsian...are you? Then you...no. No you...you wouldn't know. No one...knows. No one...remembers...anymore," he mouthed with some effort. Memories began to pour back along with long forgotten feelings. And with that came tears of all kinds that he's been holding back, though mainly ones of rage and pain. A dragon is physically incapable of crying after all, or at least in his experience. Out of all of the memories rushing in, one confrontation with Omega, that happened a week after that battle, shined through the rest.

"...Shin, just- WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!!" he remembered Omega yelling at him while standing on a cliff overlooking a large plain. Furiously raging wasn't quite the right way to describe how Omega must've felt at the time due to his body language. "I know! FATE! She called out to you, too! But...But...YOU DON'T ANNIHILATE A THIRD OF THE WORLD'S HUMAN POPULATION JUST FOR SOMETHING AS SIMPLE AS SHUTTING HER DOWN!!! Look, I can forgive you for razing Oerba and Haerii into the ground with everyone in it! They can be rebuilt over time by new settlers who come to live there! But Chronopolis!? They do experiments on time there! And guess what?! Time crashed for the entire sea! Millions of souls are now bound there in time-stilled waves, reliving their deaths over and over again for all of eternity! And whether that was an attempt by fate trying to correct things because you destroyed something you weren't supposed to or some time experiment that went horribly wrong the moment the city collapsed, I don't care! And I know, you're not human anymore! You're not even a l'Cie with a Focus to complete! SO WHY THE HELL WOULD A DRAGON CARE ABOUT MASSIVE LOSS OF LIFE?!!" Omega was right. The dragon didn't care. Those millions of lives he brought to an end that day didn't matter to him. Compared to him and his power they were weak, insignificant, little things that deserved to die in a world where only the strong prevailed. But really, the small fraction of him that kept some of his humanity did care. And all it did was sink into a small corner in his heart, covering its ears while crying and denying everything. At this point, Shin recalled a white aura coming off of Omega and that his eyes and brand were glowing white hot. It seemed that his emotions were getting to him. "And because of you, Leviathan's gone. So are the Magus Sisters. All close friends of mine. And everyone else who died there will not know true rest. The Sea of Eden will never return to the way it once was or even come close to it."

The grip on his lance tightened to the point where his arm was shaking. What's done has been done, but what hasn't can be prevented or at least delayed. Though he's never returned to the sea and seen it for itself, imagining the entire world as some twisted, ghost-ridden place where there's no such thing as past, present, or future is enough motivation for Shinryu to fight to prevent that image from being reality at all costs regardless if a person is serious about what they say or not. "Ssso what if...if I'm human? Does...being a l'Cie...instantly make you s...superior? You...You haven't shown me anything...to prove that," he, again, mouthed while his eyes, now red from the tears, burned into Grey. The boy then had his lance readied for both striking and blocking.
