    Huh, perhaps I can win something!

    Though I'm not certain if it's the best label... Oh well.

    Most helpful member, specifically towards different sections?

    Technology,
    Graphics Art,
    Writer's Nook
    Etc.

    Where would you want the tutorials posted in the meanwhile then? Technology for games as well?

    Yeah, but all the awesome stuff? I beg to differ. As far as games go, I mean. Nintendo have the few games they continue to re-make, which in itself isn't necessarily bad, but Sony and Microsoft have more games, was my point.

    Pretty much what the title says.

    I would like to see a sub-forum in Both Gaming and Technology for tutorials that would help people with easy/difficult things regarding gaming for the gaming section and technology for the technology section.

    And No, I'm not talking about somewhere to post "I'm stuck at this in that game."

    I got the idea while writing this post. I think there's a lack of areas for tutorials regarding "tricks," and "fixes." You have the Tutorials thread in the graphics section (which I guess could potentially be a third sub-forum).

    I just think I, personally, and probably many others have a whole bunch of tips and tricks when it comes to technology and games, for example how to set up Hamachi, Minecraft Servers, Overclocking, Setting up a POP e-mail, Finding and installing codecs, setting up RSS, editing your firewall, accessing your router (port forwarding), etc.

    Yes, there are other tutorials around the web, but none located here. If I or anyone else were to write a tutorial, it would also be easier to help people understanding it, rather than linking to another tutorial.

    Opinions, yay or nay?

    Minecraft Server explained :)

    Ill edit this post with an explanation. I'm just posting so that someone else won't have to start writing and realize there is already a post. I'll have it explained within 15 minutes.

    Okay, let's see.

    First of all, download Hamachi. Choose Unmanaged, as you won't need managed.

    Both computers must have it installed, as you might already know.

    Anyhow, after installation, launch and give yourself a name (Just hit the "power button" in Hamachi). It'll take a while, but just give it time. There should be a pop-up saying there has been a new network discovered. Give it the "home" settings (You can choose from Home, Work or Public network)

    Now, create a new network.
    This is what you should see.

    Now, your friend will connect using the "server" name, and password (Both are case-sensitive)
    [IMG]

    Now. Download Minecraft_Server.exe or Minecraft_Server.jar (Depending on which one you are able to run. You could potentially use bukkit, but I'm going to go with the vanilla, standard minecraft server)

    Create a folder where you put the file.

    Run the application once, and allow it through the firewall (should be an automatic popup).

    Quit the Minecraft_server.exe/.jar

    Now, there should be several files in the folder where the server executable is located.

    What you want to do now, is to open the the file named "server.properties". Open it with Notepad, and you should see this:

    Now, This, is where you will view your IP in Hamachi. (Or your friends' IP, depending on who will host it)

    Focus on these parts:

    The two most important ones are;

    and
    First, find your Hamachi ip, and put that as the server-ip.
    In my case, it's

    I believe

    has to be changed to

    I'm not certain you have to, but you might as well.

    If you want to play creative mode, change

    to

    And you can change the difficulty to what you like. (If memory serves me right, 0 is peaceful, 1 is easy, 2 is normal, and 3 is hard)

    Save the file, which should look as such;

    With your Hamachi IP, not mine.

    Now, run the server executable file, and you are good to go!

    Connect using the port 25565, so it should look like this;

    [IMG]

    Also, you want to OP (make admin) yourself and your friend, which you do by simply entering;

    op "username"

    In the server console.

    In my case it is like this;

    That, I do agree with. I just find it quite hilarious how many believe Facebook to have any form of actual privacy.

    I find it funny how people react to stuff like this, and fear that their Facebook info gets taken by the FBI...

    Pssst, they can already access it. Read through the Facebook terms and conditions, but hey, who does that?

    Couldn't you just... you know, test it?

    Regardless, I don't think HTML formatting would work too well in usertitles, as it would lead to a lot of pain.

    Does replayability count?

    As far as the TV goes, considering you're only paying maximum $150, I wouldn't care too much about the brand. If that is a big deal, though, Sony is, in my opinion, a great brand.

    As far as the other sites, take a look at this article

    Hey everyone!

    I sincerely apologize for the lack of Playdates, I've had enough to do in school and personally, but I am finally back home in Norway, and I will hopefully be able to set something up soon.

    I want to set up a time that works for most, and for me to know this, can you please let me know?
    Please let me know in the form of VM or PM, to avoid flooding this thread.

    What I want to know is this;

    What day of the week works best. (It will most likely be during a weekend)
    What time for you works best (Please include your time-zone in GMT).
    What is your console (360, PS3, PC).

    Once again, please send it in a PM/VM, instead of posting here.
    Thanks.
