You don't need to know spacial dimensions or art theory to be deemed "intelligent" either. Humans are naturally intelligent beings from birth. The fact that we're so intelligent also allows us to be creative. Like other users have said, creativity is apart of intelligence. Intelligence is also what separates us from animals. Many living things know how to be creative. Certain animals know how to sing songs, spiders make fancy webs depending on the prey they plan to catch, etc. But can a spider paint? Can a spider write a book? Or a song? Can a spider do anything of artistic merit? Can a spider produce anything original in terms of ideas? And I don't mean something that humans look at and say "oh thats art," or "what a good idea" I mean something that the spider intentionally does. No. Why? Because its not smart enough. I'd go as far as to say that 80-90% of an animal's actions are pure instinct. Animals don't need to know how paint, write a book, etc., they only need to eat, sleep and ****. And to be honest, humans dont either, but the fact that we do have that quality makes us infinitely smarter. We have found ways to live on being creative. So yeah, when people are being creative, they're also being intelligent. We need intelligence to be creative. Not the other way around.
