Posted by Crunchyroll For those of you who want to see the CM here it is. People at Crunchyroll has told many people to get their head out of the gutter. Spoiler
After playing Parasite Eve I waited desperately for Parasite Eve II to be released on PSN but due to the hack crisis at the time I had to wait till August (5 month gap between the re-release of 1 and 2). I've played Parasite Eve II up to September then forgot about it. I've made it on to Disc 2 but I am not sure if I should restart the game or continue. I could barely remember the events of Disc 1(which is weird because Im not forgetful when it comes to video games). I don't really mind restarting if I have to, when I forget some things for video games my memory comes back when certain events occur but there was this one boss that annoyed the hell out of me Lol. So should I continue or restart the whole game? And for those of you who are curious yes Parasite Eve is a great series and shouldn't be compared with any survival horror series I recommend it, Square did a beautiful job including Yoko Shimomura for doing the soundtrack of the first game :)
I've own the game before the system once before and it was Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2. On Friday I got Spirit Camera The Cursed Memoir just because it's a spin off to Fatal Frame. I don't own a 3DS (yet) but I'll have one soon enough. But for right now... I'll just use my cousin's 3DS Lol. I believe some may think it's a bad idea and some may think it's a way to motivate you to get the system if you do (which totally is). So anyway, have any of you own the game before the system before? If not, what do you think when people do that?
For some reason I couldn't sleep again, this has happened 2 weeks ago. I would stay up all night if Im willing to stay up (only once a year, most likely in the summer) but now it has been to a point to where I can't fall asleep till 3 or 2 in the morning. I don't want to take sleeping pills because I know that will only make it worse but I don't know what else to do. I stopped drinking soda and eat at a late time for 2 weeks now and I still have this problem. I got school today and stayed up all night last night so I'll be acting like a zombie today, it is bad on my part because I have five 2 hour classes and Im not sure if I am able to survive today, I survived without falling asleep in class last time but Im not sure about it this time. In 3 hours I would be awake for 24 hours. I guess I have Insomnia or what ever is similar to that. EDIT: My parents are aware of my problem but nothing seems to work. I could go to bed at 9 and would still be awake at 3 in the morning.
I've been trying to burn the backwards comparability for Original Xbox games to play on the 360 I found here but I can't. I tried ImgBurn but when ever I select the default.xex a message shows up saying "Invalid or unsupported file format!". I followed a tutorial here and I copied all of the settings and I still have this problem. I do have Power2Go that is pre-installed into my computer but I don't know how to use it that much. Is there any other program that supports xex files so I can play Fatal Frame on my friend's 360? ;_; (If your wondering this is official Microsoft software that has been removed for some reason) EDIT: I have a Vista and I have no knowledge of 360 stuff except for how to login and put the game into the system >_>
I asked Shabby if I can post reviews here a few months ago and said it's fine so please enjoy :) Story (5/5) Fatal Frame or also known as "Project Zero" in Europe and "Zero/Rei" in Japan, follows a teenage girl Miku Hinasaki during her visit in Himuro Mansion without knowing what shes getting herself into while looking for her brother that goes missing. There are five chapters in all including the Intro chapter that follows Miku's brother Mafuyu. Miku finds the Camera Obscura, a special camera that takes pictures of ghost and helps you defend yourself against the ones that want to do you harm. Graphics (5/5) For a PS2 game released in the early 2000's the graphics must be the best for it's time. I am someone who doesn't care for graphics but this is mainly for those who are curious about them. Music (5/5) The music adds to the tension and paranoia the player must be feeling the first time playing the game like how the first Silent Hill did. Depending on what ghost you encounter you will notice the music is different between ghost. Gameplay (5/5) Depending on which control option you choose (default is recommended) you use the left analog stick to move and press O to switch to camera mode. While in camera mode you can press X or R1 to take a picture of ghost. You charge the power of the camera by focusing on the ghost you encounter, the more you charge the more powerful the damage will be. Voice Acting (5/5) The voice acting is decent for it's time and shouldn't be compared to the voice acting we have now. I must admit, the voice acting is a bit mehh. Is it scary? For a game released in the early 2000's I would have to say yes; this game is scary the first time around. This is the first video game to scary the first 20 minutes of it and believe me it is not easy to scare me. To be honest this game makes Silent Hill and Resident Evil look like a early childhood rated game (no bashing intended). XBOX Version? There is a XBOX version released later with detailed graphics, more ghost, and more costumes. With some puzzles the Japanese characters that represent numbers are replaced with actual numbers. Is it recommended? If you like survival horror especially Japanese horror I do recommend it. History From what I can understand from the Zero Wiki, Fatal Frame has an interesting background, the "Based On A True Story" is to gain interest from the North American market. Most of the things in the game are inspired/based on real events. There is no real person named Miku Hinasaki nor she is based on a real person. Himuro Mansion does have a real life counterpart but it isn't cursed or haunted in anyway shape or form. There is a real place where you can see ghost in the day and dead bodies found there with rope marks but there hasn't been any real reports found to support it, it's been said people who live near there are cursed or cursed if they leave their windows open at night (I forgot which one). Another story is about a woman in white who hung herself on a tree due to the lost her lover and people can hear crying from that same tree, a man one day cut down the tree and who ever has a piece of it is cursed then dies, the man who has cut it down disappeared without a trace. Localization Miku's appearance is a little different in the localized version. Miku's hair is light brown then black, her skirt was originally a three panel skirt like the ones you see in anime, her skin and lips are changed to a healthy looking color, her eyes are a little smaller in the localized version too with some more differences. Final Words Fatal Frame has an interesting history, it is a type of game that is a bit hard to find especially the XBOX version. If you end up finding it at a GameStop, yard sale, or anywhere else that sells used and new games please give it a try. I give Fatal Frame a perfect 5/5
It's been a year since I've first heard of these and now Im so excited! From Crunchyroll
I've watched some trailers and previews/clips of the game on my Wii last night but I don't know how I feel about it. I've encountered some AR cards in the April issue of Nintendo Power last Saturday and the illustrations for them looked interesting. It looks fun and all but Im not sure. It is rare that I buy a first party Nintendo game (Pokemon, Mario, Zelda, Metroid, and Donkey Kong for example) unless it's a Super Smash Bros. game then Im sold but sense Kid Icarus: Uprising is a first party Nintendo game I am not really sure if I should get it because not many first party Nintendo games interest me or get my attention as they did when I was a child. I am getting a 3DS soon and Spirit Camera The Cursed Memoir is my top priority for the system but I don't know if I should be hyped to get Kid Icarus: Uprising. Are all the positive things about the game true?
I don't know why but the box art looks a little awkward with him in the box art. I don't mind or hate the box art it just looks a little awkward... When Nomura said he will change the box art (I forgot what reason it was) I thought he would remove Micky from the box art, that was my first guess :/ Here is version 1 And here is version 2 I don't know why but version 2 would have looked a lot better if Micky wasn't in it and a mirror image of Sora flipped. I might get a little hate for this thread but I just want to see if anyone else thinks the addition of Micky is unnecessary this time around. Sorry if this sounds like Im bashing or hating on the box art but in all honesty like I said before, I dont mind it nor I hate it. This is just something thats been poking me for a while x_x
Naked Dante alert :P From Siliconera
For as long as I can remember since I was a child, I would remember crying and my mom would hit me shouting "boys dont cry!" at me, then thats when I started trying to bottle things up. Recently, when ever Im mad or sad I just bottle it up, forget it, then move on with my life not letting it bother me because there is no reason for me to be be in a negative mood when I should be in a positive one. When I really do get sad I just shed some tears, take a deep breath, then move on. Today (more like yesterday sense it's 12:54 am here) my friend went over to my school to pick up her friend, I walk over to her to say hi because we rarely see each other in person then she kinda took some of her anger on me(wont say why shes mad). I said "Im sorry", then she said "it isn't your fault, Im not mad at you". I've never liked it when my friends or the people I care about are in a bad mood (who wouldn't), it makes me sad really, especially when it's a situation where I can't help them. I know it's out of my control and sh*t happens but I would at least like to help a friend out. When Im around a friend who is mad I just bite my lip and keep myself shut because I don't know what to say or do to cheer them up so I give them space if things dont cool down. I know some people might think it's stupid feeling sad just because a friend is having an off day but I honestly don't know where it came from. I don't mind if people think it's stupid because I'm pretty much the person who keeps things to himself (a lot). Here is where things might not make any sense because I don't know how to explain it that well and the main reason why Im asking if there is such a thing as "bottling up too much". I thought of my friend and for some reason a tear started to surface, then countless more after that with being reminded of all the things I've bottled up in the past. I felt like I was drowning in my own tears. I guess Im frugal? I don't know what to call it. Is it so wrong for caring for other people?
I would like to know if anyone here finish their newly released video games in a day or two or more like a week. I finish many games fast in less then a week. I finished both Fatal Frame 1 and 2 in just 2 days. It makes me sad really, all that time and waiting for a game to come out then finished in a few hours or the very next day. I have way too much time in my hands especially on times like Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring Break. My friend had told me he could finish a Final Fantasy game (even XIII) in just 2-3 days without dying and using cheats. I don't believe him but I don't want to be up all day and night watching him play to find out. Anyone else who has finished a game a few days or on the same week as when you got it? What game would be your fastest finish?
Ok, I think Im going to accept my aunts offer on a iPod Touch now :D The official site looks cool too and in English too ^-^ According to iTunes here are the requirements. Posted by Siliconera
Name any series you own that has sequels and spin offs. The video game series I own are... -Kingdom Hearts -Fatal Frame -Parasite Eve -Pokemon -Death Note -Silent Hill
Today the Official YouTube Channel has released a new video with the making of the soundtrack/score. Here we have the composers Jimmy Urine (Mindless Self Indulgence) and Akria Yamaoka (Silent Hill).
The live action will be out next month (April 21). Here are things to expect 1.The Yuno you know in the manga and anime is a re-imagining version in the Drama. 2.Yuki isn't in the Drama but he is a new Diary user named Hoshino Arata. 3. Yuno's name is changed to Yuno Furusaki. 4.Masaki Okada will be Hoshino Arata and Ayame Gouriki will be Yuno. Are these changes bad? Of course not. It would be boring if it was made exactly like the manga with no originality. For those of you worried about Yuno's character. Here is the plot of the Drama Here are some teasers ^-^ I personally am very excited about this! :D
If you like Fatal Frame post which ghost scared you the most in the games. I hated the twins in Crimson Butterfly. There is one more from there though >_> I wonder what the outside looks like *takes out camera and looks out a window* Peeping boy: HELLO!!! *fights off a near heart attack and takes a picture* -Mean while at Himuro Mansion- *opens door* Koji: Hello! *runs away screaming like a little ***** True story xD
Hmm.... it seems PS2 Classics has been live on PSN for a while like seen in this video and this video too. Anyway besides Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy PS2 games, what other PS2 games would you guys like to see on the PSN store. I personally would love to see all 3 Fatal Frame games. I love them so much <3
Taken from here by IGN. There is a video there too if you want to watch it.
Im at school right now and can't look at the video because these computers are so lame! But after reading about how the bug looks like I don't even want to see the video if it's compared to something! O_O Found here
