I wish I could feel so enthusiastic about games like I used to. Real life sucks.
:\ I love Days though...
I've been playing Kingdom Hearts as a series since day one and there are things that still make no sense. They'll get over it.
Although all things right now are possible, I wouldn't hold out too much hope for a PS3 version. But hey, stranger things have happened; and even if this one thing doesn't, there are plenty of great games on the PS3 so that it'll be worth the investment.
After such a long hiatus of not fighting non-memory/data-simulation Heartless, I sincerely hope that we'll be seeing them again instead of some new monster faction.
Well, yeah, I was more under the idea we were talking about the world/kh1-specific weapon textures, etc.[DOUBLEPOST=1371102184][/DOUBLEPOST]Can I propose that we take all of the existing tools and create a new thread for us to have discussion in? As it is, the releases of tools and rough patches are so scattered in this thread I have no idea where anything is anymore; and we'd be a bit more focused; and the thread would be related to the patch that's in-progress instead of "not what we think".
Even as a huge fanboy of Kingdom Hearts, I think that some in this thread are a bit too defensive of the series. What's wrong with Xbox owners wanting to play a Kingdom Hearts game? Why don't they deserve to experience it? Square wants to make more money, and being multiplatform is one of the best ways to do that; it reaches a new audience. Some companies, like Valve, have titles ported on multiple consoles; lets look at some examples. Team Fortress 2 was made by Valve, it's PC, Mac, and Xbox 360 versions were all developed directly by them; they allowed EA to port a PS3 version. So what happened? The versions differed in quality, but they all sold well and made a lot of money. Later on, Portal 2 was released on the PC, Mac, PS3 and Xbox 360; this time, the PC/Mac version could actually play multiplayer WITH the PS3 version; all of the versions sold amazingly well and there was little-to-no loss of quality or content between them. Ports have happened in the past, and will continue to happen. It's not a big deal. Square is not an indie developer that's just starting out; they know what they're doing (aside from an apparent lack of what the word "consistency" means), so don't worry. The PS4 version will be the superior version; so don't worry too much about it.
Well, there are two ways to interpret it. By the same "size", they can mean same X by Y (a low quality texture can be 256x256 just as a higher quality version of it can be), which would seem odd but believable, or they mean that they're the same file-size (two files that are both 200 kilobytes in size). I'd like to believe that they are just higher resolution versions of the textures rather than a straight copy-paste from PS2 to PS3, but I don't know; I don't have the game myself to compare.
Things I'd like to see: Flowmotion Deck system, ala BBS/3D/Re:Coded A reason for why Drives can't be used if they aren't ("My magic clothes are broke ;~;")
The KH2 outfit looks fine. Sora doesn't have to have a makeover every time a game is released; besides, his "real" body in 3D was the same as his KH2 body. It's consistent (not like Riku's ever-changing hair length).
That "gameplay" at the end of the trailer doesn't look like gameplay to me.
So why can't you access the workplace?
Really? That's pretty cool.
(S)He's just showing what they're are capable of by using that game as an example.
I suppose ppf-o-matic would be the only legal option, however, would the changes (such as the replaced files) be reflexed in a patch like that?
Bumping because I miss this thread already. It's been a week of dead silence. crazycat, come back! ;~;
That's awesome o_o
Also, this is more of a curiosity question more than anything; despite changing the game's sysfont to the English equivalent, why don't the cutscenes' font change to random letters? Do they use the same font file as the Journal which, as you said, is separate from the one you replaced already? Or is it something else?
So I just hex edit the ISO directly again? :|
Where could I find that file, anyway? I tried looking within the dumped files but nada.
