Dispite being unconscious, Kevin felt as if he was on fire, his chest was burning and he felt as if he was suffocating.
Yeah. I'm kinda glad I live in a very hilly area.
As soon as Kevin was laid on the table he passed out, the burns on his face and hand hurt, a lot as he passed out.
It's ok. I live in the mountains, well, in a way I do...so I don't have to worry about tornadoes....
Kevin's vision was blurring and fading, but he fought to stay concious as his body was aching, especially his chest, and was ready to collaspe, but he looked up and saw Alex's house. They finally neared it when he said, "We...a-are here..." He was still having an enternal conflict with him self about Lynne's condition, since he had in a way caused all this.
"I could've stayed in the clinic like I was told to...then none of this would've happened!" said Kevin in a weak and exhausted voice, his voice cracked as tears filled his eyes. He blinked away the tears, not wanting to show his weakness agian.
Kevin looked at Hanna, "Trying being the cause of one of your friends being in the hospital...in a serious condition." he looked at his burnt hand then the cut on. "I need to stop getting hurt..."muttered Kevin under his breath, so no one could hear him.
Kevin rubbed his hand gently seeing it was burned from where he had put his hand behind Hanna from when he pulled her out of the house. He winced, and thought to himself, Why do I screw everthing up?
Kevin was once again dazed and silent dispite the pain in his chest, he wipped his check, only to wince due to a burn there.
"Alew is at the hospital..." said Kevin weakily, falling silent, "with Lynne...from what she told me she'll be fine...Lynne I mean...Alex wants us to go to her house..."
Kevin stood up, nodding, to weak to speak, his chest really hurt. Oh...yeah...none of them know I have asthma... He coughed a little into his sleeve, which was torn by glass. This time it wasn't as violent.
Kevin's body was aching especially his chest, as he began to cough agian. It's...all...my...fault... He gripped his chest agian as a severe pain came from that area. He gasped in pain, he soon began to cough violently agian, this time it was shorter. "Sorry..." muttered Kevin, still in his daze, "I'm sorry..."
Kevin looked at Hanna as his coughing fit ended, his eyes were distant and his face was emotionless.
Kevin read the text on his phone and stiffened up. It's all my fault...I screwed everything up...everyone got hurt because of me...oh god...I can't do anything right any more... thought Kevin, he grasped his chest as he collasped onto his knees still coughing like crazy. It's my fault...I bet Mya's angry with me...It's all my fault... Kevin punched the pavement harshly, and a pain shot up his arm, he looked down and re noticed the cuts from the glass and from the debris in his house...which was now pretty much all ashes now. His knuckles were bleeding from when he punched the pavement. First i screwed up in the plaza and now I screwed up agian... His body then began to tremble as a violent coughing fit came agian, I'm useless aren't I? He ignored both Hanna and Kaleb, being too lost in his own thoughts. All I ever do now is screw up... I am a failure of a runner...but...please let the others, especially Lynne be alright... Kevin texted Alex back dispite his on going coughing fit. I'LL MAKE SURE HANNA COMES TOO... He then also texted the other runners, except for Hanna who was beside him. I'M SORRY I CAUSED ALL THIS...LECTURE ME ALL YOU WANT...I DESERVE IT...

Kevin wiped his eyes silently. He hated showing his weakness around the other runners, but he just couldn't help himself. He stood up silently, nodding to acknowledge the new guy. He then texted Mya and Alex telling them that they made it out of the fire. He also asked Alex who was taken to the hospital. He had heard the shots and sirens, who ever got wounded it was because of him. Hanna had to suffer from the smoke in her lungs because of him. "It's all my fault." whispered Kevin under his breath. Suddenly he went into a violent coughing fit due to the smoke affecting his asthma.
Kevi snuck up on Kira and pushed her down, she fell onto her stomach painfully. He grabbed her arm and held it and forced it behind her back. He had movedit so much force that it broke. He stood up and stomped on her hands so she couldn't take her guns out and shoot at him. He flipped her onto her back and glared down at her. While his face was expresionless, his insides were a wreck due to so many emotions running throughout his body. Kira looked at her younger brother in fear. Hehad changed a lot. Kevin said,"You destroyed our house! You destoryed the only memories of mom and dad!" Kira winced at his frightening expression. "Get out of here before I kill you!" yelled Kevin. Kira quickly stood up and ran away knowing Kevin could and would kill her if she stayed. Once Kira got out of sight, he sat on the curb curled up, his legs pressed to his chest and his head resting on his knees. He finally cracked and let tears flood out of his eyes silently, not daring to watch as the only memories and pictures of his parents burned away.
Kevin heard a cracking noise and hopped out the window, pulling Hanna with him, he then landed harshly on the junk filled back yard. He the noticed the lode of red hair limping away, he tore the thing on his arm away and took off running dispite the pain he felt. He was very angry but at the same time very upset. Kira smiled hearing the house finally collapse. Her problem was over for all she knew.
Kevin jumped as window suddenly shattered, he looked back at the kitchen seeingthat is was pretty much gone and the roof collapsed, the fire was now spreading into the living room. He bit the cloth, then bent down to pick up a medium box that would easily break the window so they could get through. He then threw it at the nearest window, which had the narrow path to it, the glass shattered, and rained down onto the floor. He then tried to hurry up only to get a pain in his ankle once again, but he continued on wanting Hanna to get out of the house, and himself too.
Kevin coughed as the smoke went into his lungs once again, he had problems with asthma due to his mother smoking when he was born. He gladdly took the cloth from Hanna and covered his mouth. "thanks." muttered Kevin. He began to try and move the crap so it wouldn't hurt his leg any more than it already was.
