*watches first vid* Damn, that guy thoroughly freed my cosmic mind, fast-forwarding it towards a new era of reminiscence. xD I need his dealer phone number.
I don' t remember if he had a medical condition beforehand or if he just took a bad step along the way. Nothing terribly epic I' m afraid. ^^
The day The Phantom Menace got released I was stuck in a three days long welcoming event organized by my new school, in a camping in the middle of nowhere. There were these two guys who seemed to be as nerdy about it as I was. We ended up asking the camping director if he had a map of the area and if he could pinpoint the nearest theater on it for us. Apparently it was a couple hours walk away. We memorized the map as best as we could and tried our luck and SOMEHOW WE MADE IT IN TIME !!! One of us was limping on the way back but he regretted nothing. Good times lol.
Mysterious Figure was hands down the most difficult, especially with Terra. His insta-kill grappling was annoying as hell, so was his habit of turning invisible. There was also that boss in KH1, the one we fight while flying. For some reason managing to hit it physically when prompted required a lot of luck. Chances were you' d swing and miss, which annoyed me to no end. None of the others were particularly hard or annoying to me once I figured out what to do (though I have yet to play DDD).
What' s a red band trailer ? PG 16 ? It asks me to log in to prove my age but the French one doesn' t (French ratings are usually one grade lower than in the US). Well anyway, that kind of silly, vulgar, fourth wall breaking humor would be closer to the comics I read than your average Marvel comics. But while I' m sold on that one I probably won' t go see it in theaters, the translation would screw up half of the jokes.
So far this thread is more like twelve monkeys.
Liar. I know how this works, you have to watch the moon to turn into an ape. How many fingers am I holding up right now ?
I' m no musician myself but I' m told most pop rock bands use the same chords ad nauseam. Like, you could play the whole Nirvana repertoire with five of them.
It usually involves a skin or blood test. Didn' t need either to notice pollen gets my nose leaky and my eyes itchy.
Now now, don' t be so stark (see what I did there ?)
That show was a UFO, it pretty much defined good TV for me. I mean sure, it was rather hit or miss, not every episode was great and the mythology probably went on longer than it should have, but when it was good it was really good. It jumped from sci fi to horror to thriller with a hint of comedy and social commentary. Not sure you' d find it that great though, you don' t strike me as a horror buff.
There was this X-Files parody I read in a French comics, Mulder and Scully kept using their flashlights in broad daylight and talking to each other through their cell phones while in the same room. I think the later actually happened in the show once.
I' ve known a few people who didn' t like putting their seat belt (that was back when the law still left us a choice), being cool had nothing to do with it. They just didn' t like the constrictive sensation and didn' t see the point when they remained at low city speeds. I guess they hadn' t heard yet that even at 50 km/h a frontal shock is the equivalent of jumping head first from the third floor. In some scenarios your seat belt can kill you, that' s how I lost the best friend I' ve ever had, though go figure if he would have survived otherwise. Statistically speaking you' re still better off keeping it. It saved my life half a dozen times.
Okay that looks exciting, but I hope they know where they' re going this time. Never been into tuning my car or buying geek paraphernalia (I' d rather put my money into more source material), but I would totally steal that from you.
I' m almost as blind as you, I just googled it up a bit. Jessica Jones looks interesting on paper to me, especially if the actors you just named are involved. But that' s what makes it more exciting to me, aside from the more adult oriented approach allowed on Netflix: I know next to nothing about these guys so I' m surprised at every turn. See, I didn' t even know that. xD
She' s not playing two characters, they merged two comic books characters to make hers. One being Luke Cage' s love interest, so there' s little doubt she' ll pop up in his show.
Spoiler Apparently she' s already confirmed for season 2. And you might see her in the other Netflix Marvel shows as well : As far as I know she' s just of Greek descent. The name says it all. So she might be olive skinned, but not Asian.
I' ve always thought if the Joker existed in real life he' d be a punk, so I' m sold on the look. They' re not actually going to save the world are they ? ^^'' Any word on the expected rating ? Cause I' m hoping for something a tad more dark and twisted than a few electroshocks here. As in the actual worst of the worst.
Half of those are French alright, but not garrulous (wat ?). xD Never seen or heard the other half before.
That sounds intriguing, care to share a sample ? I googled it out of curiosity. Wait, a standardized test ? The one I found wasn' t wordy though (but then chances are most words you' d consider snotty are really French words xD). Never went beyond pre-graduate math level myself, but when they ask about stuff I did study/remember/understand it does look quite simple.
