I MISSED YOU TOOO!!!! *hugglez extra hard* And you too chicka!!! So what's happened since I've been gone?
I HAVE NOT BEEN ON HERE FOR FOREVER!!!! I'M SOOOOO SORRY FAMILY!!!!! (I'm on a friends computer and can't get my colors to work, so Axel and Reno are going to be ignored for a while. lol)
I'm in total awe of your writing ability!!!! Ta think, I've been your friend for a while now, and I only just found out how awesome your style is!!!! GREAT JOB!!!!!! (AND I LOVE YOU ZACK!!!!) ^-^
That's not bad! I wish all the best for your story!!!!!! Thanks, I really hope the next one will be good. I'm really starting to get on Nex's nerves though. ^-^
Okay, so I'm very very obvious....DARN ME!!!! STILL CAN'T WAIT!!!! Have you had many people asking about your sig and avy?
I'd love to see any of the extra dudes from FFVII (ex., Reno, Rude, Elena, Tseng, Vincent, Red XIII, etc.) along with some guys from FFX (ex., Seymour, Lulu, Yuna), and anybody else ya'll can think of. ^-^
Oh really? Prove it!!! :locked2: Aw, thanks. I tried to make it as mushy as possible. And my new thing between Mafia and Saix is gonna be fun to mess with too. Thanks for the read!!! ^-^
I absolutely adore that piccy and I told the girl that made it that I was using it as inspiration for this story and she started freaking out. It was awesome. ^-^ And I changed that memory just because I thought it would sound better. I would have changed the other ones, but I didn't think anyone would recognize them. WHERE'S YOUR STORY?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Thank you for reading!
No, I just wanted a 'seductive side' for Mafia to reflect Nex's innocence. OOPS!!! YOU DIDN'T HEAR THAT!!!! ^-^ Nope, you've said enough. lol. Thanks! ^-^
Thanks! I don't really think it was my best work, but I'm glad you liked it! I'll make the next chapter better!!!! ^-^
Thanks chicka! Doing Mafia's half was my favorite, so I put Marlene in the first half just so I could show an innocent side before I showed a seductive side. ^-^ (Cool! *runs off to read*) Well, that's okay! Thanks for reading though!
Thank you chicka! I appreciate the love!!! Thanks! The next chapter will probably be longer, but it will have a heck of a lot more action in it. By the way, nice avy! (poor Cloud! ^-^)
Ven didn't die. Look close enough, and you'll see his eyes moving while he's still frozen in the ice. Could someone please update me on all the things this forum has figured out so far? I haven't been able to post here in a while, so I've probably missed a lot. I do however have a theory of my own to post. Just some more of my ramblings, and it based purely on some random lines in CoM. And KH2. What if Riku isn't whole? If he is actually a Nobody? We've seen it happen where Nobodies can pretend to be Somebodies without actually knowing who they really are (obvious example: Roxas). Plus, Riku was inhabited by Ansem, a Heartless. This could have happened because Riku had a dark heart at the time, but if he was an empty shell (a Nobody), then he could have been inhabited by anyone who put their minds to it (if you think about it scientifically). In the CoM manga (volume 2, pg. 211) Zexion mentions to Riku that he is "one of us". Now, this could mean that he has darkness on his side, or that he is just one of the bad guys. Either way, it could also possible mean that he is a Nobody, just like Zexion. (Note: Tetsuya Nomura oversees the entire production of the mangas, so the lines are legit). Also, something else I was thinking and that I'm not sure if I posted yet, is that maybe the Riku Replica (or possibly Riku himself) could be the Heartless-clothed figure that shows up in the secret ending, fighting against Ven, Terra, and Aqua. All very crazy things I've been thinking about.
Darn, I hoped it was obvious who she was! Oh well, if you don't figure it out, the next chapter will explain a bit more. Maybe...^-^ I really wanted to have a more innocent piece of the story, so I decided to put Marlene in there. She's a cutie anyway. Now we all know that Axel's good with kids. Thanks!
Chapter 15 I absolutely loved writing this chapter, especially the second half. That new character from the other chapter? She comes full fledged in this one. Hope you guys like! And those of you who have messaged me, I'm sososososo sorry I haven't got back to you! Especially 2Foxxie4U (buddy!), darkcloud (2nd buddy!), khchick55 (chicka!) who have been messaging me like crazy and I can't get the time to get back to you guys! EEEP!!! And thanks Foxxie for sending me your stories. I always read them!!! The Love of a Nobody...(section 15) Ugh! Is there no end to this crap?! Almost an hour had gone by and Axel was still sitting in the same place, listening to the same old lady wine about her stupid bunions. He sighed, and was frustrated to say the least. “Listen lady, I really have to get going.†How many times had he said that in the past ten minutes? “I don’t think so!†“Excuse me?†“You haven’t tried my home-made soup yet! Don’t think you can walk out of grandma’s house without a full stomach! Now, don’t you go anywhere! I’ll be right back.†As soon as the old lady had her back turned, Axel raced out the door. Jeez, why didn’t I do that earlier? Disrespect was normal for him, and in this case, he didn’t really have much of a choice. His search for Nex hadn’t been as successful as he had hoped. Then, his one and only plan had failed him when that stupid Kairi-girl escaped, falling right into Saix’s hands. Now, all he was doing was waiting for the right time. He had returned to Hallow Bastion, not only to revisit the sights, but to await an uncommon visitor. The Keyblade bearer. With his good social skills, Axel had been able to discern that Sora, the famous wielder of the keyblade, would be due in town any time. Of course, Axel’s version of ‘good social skills’ was a few threats, and maybe even a fire or two. But it still got him the information he wanted. Axel no longer wore the outfit Cloud gave him, the one that had been his outfit of choice. He now donned his old Organization cloak, not caring who recognized its origins. In fact, Axel was wearing it mostly to draw attention to himself. If Saix could find him in Twilight Town, then anyone in the Organization could certainly find him in Hallow Bastion. He wondered what Nex was doing, if she was alright. Was she alone? Inside some jail cell? Axel would never know just how truthful those words were. “I swear, if they do anything to her, I’ll…†“You’ll what?†“Huh?†Axel turned to look behind him, expecting to see Squall or even Cloud standing there, but instead, he saw a young girl around ten or eleven years old. Her entire outfit was pure white consisting of a knee-length skirt with light embroidery on it along with a sleeveless shirt. Her brown hair was wrapped up in a twisting braid in the back and highlighted by a bright pink bow. She looks sort of like Aerith with her hair like that, thought Axel. “You said you’d do something. What are you going to do?†Her innocence surprised him, but what was the harm? “Well, I’m actually looking for someone. I’m trying to find her. But right now I’m waiting for Sora to show up.†“Sora? Really? He’s coming here?†“Uh-huh. Rumor is that it should be any minute.†“Wow, I’ve never met a keyblade bearer before!†“Yeah?†“Yeah! They’re supposed to be really famous! But it must be kinda hard, doing all that work so we can live safely. He must be really strong!†“I don’t know. I wouldn’t go that far.†Axel didn’t want to disappoint this girl, so he kept his knowledge to himself. “I can’t wait for him to get here! I have so many things I want to ask him!†Yeah, same here, kid. “So who are you looking for?†“What?†“You said you were looking for someone. Who is she? Maybe I can help you find her!†The girl’s smile was wide and bright. Her courage surpassed that of most people Axel knew. He was starting to like this girl. “Well, she’s a friend of mind. A really good friend actually.†“Oh, is she your girlfriend?†Axel laughed. “Something like that.†“Okay! What does she look like?†“Long, violet hair and eyes that could kill,†Axel stopped and looked at the girl. She was partially in awe. “I mean, purple eyes too.†“Okay, she shouldn’t be too hard to find. Don’t you think?†You have no idea. “Hmm, maybe we should start asking around. Oh, I know! Cloud will know where she is!†“Wait, you know Cloud?†“Of course I do silly! Everybody knows Cloud Strife, the greatest warrior this side of the city. Next to Leon of course.†“You know Squall too?!†Just who was this girl? “Yup! They’re all friends of mine. Don’t you know them too?†“Well, yeah, but,†Axel was startled. He ran a hand through his thick hair and contemplated his next move. Could this girl really help him? “Say kid, what’s your name?†“Oh, sorry, I guess I should have introduced myself first,†the girl held out a small hand, waiting for Axel to shake it. Her smile was as big as ever. “My name’s Marlene. What’s yours?†“Marlene…†Little Marlene? Wow…She’s grown so much since I last saw her. Axel finally recognized the young girl from his hometown. She had only been eight years old the last time he saw her, before he had converted into a Nobody. At least it explained how she knew Squall and Cloud. “The name’s Axel,†he said, shaking her hand. “And I hope you don’t mind Marlene, but I’m going to do some more hunting on my own. But you let me know if you hear anything about her okay?†“Okay! I can do that!†“Thanks.†And with that, Axel started walking off to no where in particular. His mind was wandering and he wasn’t sure what exactly he was going to do. He had a definite plan, but the details were sketchy. “Hey, wait, you didn’t tell me her name yet!†Axel stopped in his tracks, and turned back to face Marlene, a look of resentment on his face. “Nexydys.†- - - - - - - - - - - - A dark portal blossomed in the hap-hazard walls of the Castle That Never Was. Already waiting inside the room was a lone figure, wearing over his shoulders the coat of the XIIIth Order. The hood of that coat was pulled up and over his face, blocking the view. Another figure, nearly identical to the first in terms of looks, stepped out of the expectant portal. But, on close inspection, the second figure’s outline was much more feminine, the curves of her body obvious. The clacks of her heeled boots echoed as she walked over towards the other figure. “Did you like my performance?†she asked, lifting her own hood away from her face. Deep, raven-black hair spilled over her shoulders and around her strong face. Nearly all black eyes held their gaze on the second figure, but small flecks of violet came through in her irises. Her voice was casual and seductive. She wrapped a single arm around the second figure’s back. “It was acceptable,†said a calm voice, nearly emotionless. “Oh? It wasn’t good enough for you?†“I didn’t say that.†“But you implied it. What do I have to do for you to appreciate my work?†she asked, her smile alluring and attractive. Her arm laced even further around the man’s spine. He shivered underneath her touch. “Don’t tempt me.†“Why shouldn’t I?†With her other hand, the woman wisped the other figure’s hood right off, revealing a passive face. Vivid, shoulder-length, sapphire hair composed his expression, along with a peculiar ‘X’ shaped scar criss-crossing over the bridge of his nose and above and below his golden eyes. His gaze pierced right through the floor. He didn’t even seem to notice when the female plopped herself gently onto his lap, enticing him all the more. “You deserve a bit more attention these days,†she said, tracing a gloved finger over his jaw line. “I said, don’t tempt me.†“There’s nothing wrong with it. I enjoy it. And no matter how emotionless you say you are, you know you love it too.†He remained unreceptive to her words. She planted a light kiss on the side of his face, nearly touching his lips. He shuddered, and turned away from her. “Why aren’t you reporting to Xemnas?†“What was it you told me a while back? ‘The Heartless ally with whoever is strongest’? Well, my friend, I ally with you. Xemnas can wait a few more minutes.†In the end, he succumbed to her kisses, allowing them to touch his reluctant but willing lips. “This is the last time I let you do this,†he said in between breaths. She laughed. “That’s what you said last time.†It only lasted a few seconds longer before she pulled away, hands on her curving hips. The taste of her mouth still lingered on him. She stalked up to the near-by window with the light of Kingdom Hearts shining on her face. He stared after her, loving the way she looked in the moonlight. A small and nearly invisible grin pulled at his face and conscious. He dismissed the idea of this type of relationship but he secretly loved the way she charmed him. “That idiot Axel is still chasing after her like a dog to the bone. He obviously knows where she is, so why isn’t he coming directly here?†She turned back and gazed upon his sly figure, awaiting her answer. “If Axel tried to infiltrate this fortress, he would be exterminated almost immediately.†“I like the way you think.†“He must be waiting for something.†“You mean that stupid kid? What was his name?†“Sora.†“And you think that’s who he’s waiting for?†“…There’s no one else.†“Hmph,†muttered the woman. She began thinking to herself, and came back over to the man, leaning over his calm figure. “Maybe I should pay my better half another visit. You know, put some bad thoughts in her head.†“You’re full of bad thoughts.†“Aren’t we all?†“…Possibly.†His face was still as placid as ever, but the woman wasn’t looking at his face. She was staring deeply into his eyesheir color that of a golden flame. Immense power sat behind those eyes just waiting to be unfurled. “I need to go to Hallow Bastion. Demyx has failed. If Axel is awaiting the Keyblade bearer, I will be there to greet him,†Getting up from his seat, the man went straight to his door. The woman seemed a bit disappointed and held her position next to his chair. “Get back to work Mafia. Your job isn’t to hypnotize your subordinates.†The man strolled out of the room nonchalantly. It was as if nothing had ever happened between them. Mafia stared at Kingdom Hearts, a dark resolve in her shadowy heart. A Heartless resolve to be exact. “Whatever you say… …Saix.†- - - - - - - - - - - - -
This chapter is extremely late, but the full-length chapter is also extremely long. So, I didn't want you all to have to wait for the whole thing to come out, so I just went ahead and put half of it up. Trust me, you have no idea what's to come. And I apologize to ~Koneko~, my awesome friend and proofer, who didn't proof this beforehand. So, sorry if there's some really stupid mistakes. I'm in a rush! Musical Inspiration: Boys Like Girls ~ The Great Escape Deviant Inspiration (One of the best pictures ever) UN-EDITED VERSION (For minor instances of swearing) Roxas Has Returned Ch. 6, Fatal Passage Lost in space and time, Nowhere to be found, Hidden from all-seeing eyes. Axel ran as fast as he could and as hard as he could. A limp Roxas was slung across his back, garbed in nothing but the cloak Axel had hastily thrown on his bare skin. Keep moving, keep moving, he told himself over and over again. He tried to keep his footsteps quiet, but the echoes were unmistakable as they made their way down the dungeon-like corridors of the castle. Keeping to the shadows as much as he could, Axel sprinted like someone running the ten mile marathon, flinching at every sound he heard. He stopped every couple hundred feet to catch his breath and to check on Roxas. The boy was the color of a white linen sheet. His breathing was quick and irregular. His stone cold expression was unusually calm except for his gritted teeth. He doesn’t have much time. Axel tried to bottle up his negativity but there was no denying it. Roxas was dying. Axel thought tremendously hard about what to do. He was at a loss. Without sufficient treatment, Roxas wouldn’t last the night. Zexion’s healing could only do so much. Taking a gloved hand, Axel rubbed his left shoulder, the spot where he Roxas had just been. The pin-pricks of the teen’s stitches had clawed their way through his coat and into the skin. Axel didn’t know what to do. He looked at Roxas’s small figure lying on the floor. He could distinctly make out the lashes that he, Axel, had struck across his young friend’s body. Unfortunately, he remembered just how easily the boy’s skin had ripped right in half, oozing out excessive crimson-colored blood. It made it all the worse now that the two of them were on the run. What was he supposed to do? The Superior would never tolerate his rebellious behavior. Disobedience against the Organization would surely cause them both to have a one-way trip to their deathbeds. So, Axel had to make sure that they weren’t caught. But first, he had to devise a way to leave the castle without causing too much stir. A vehicle perhaps? No. The Superior didn’t have anything like that on hand. And dark portals could only take them so far. Some sort of travel was needed for them to leave permanently. Without much thought, Axel opened up a portal to a world only a few of the other members knew about. Roxas would have to stay here in order for him to accomplish this newfound goal of his. The boy was hidden well underneath the stern gaze of the shadows, in a dark corner of the castle’s hallway. It was a remote area that most of them didn’t traverse, so Axel was fairly sure Roxas would be alright while he was gone. I’ll be back soon little man, I promise. III~XxXxX~III “You let them get away you incompetent imbecile!†“You really thought we wouldn’t notice?†“For the last time, I didn’t let them escape!†The Cloaked Schemer was on his last strings, fighting against his comrades for dominance. On his knees and tied up at the wrists, Zexion felt that he was now labeled a traitor among his fellow members for something he didn’t do. He felt a hard swipe across the side of his face, branding his cheek with a good-size bruise. “Don’t think lying will help you either. The Superior can see right through to your soul. Nothing can escape him.†Who in their right minds let Larxene do the interrogations?! But Zexion’s thoughts were quickly becoming hazy. He had to think fast in order to get himself through. If Number XIII could endure far worse than this, so could he. Yet, there was one thing he knew of for certain. This Organization was falling, right down into the devastating hands of chaos. And no one, not even the Superior, could possibly stop it. III~XxXxX~III What is this…light? Or darkness? Am I dead? Or alive? Is any of this for real? Or not? …Where am I? A tingling sensation awakened within his arms and legs, returning his old senses. He was aware of some newfound power, growing steadily in the boughs of his body. It was exhilarating and frightening at the same time. But, all too quickly, he discerned everything that had happened to him. He felt naught but the sting of his sudden consciousness. Not the cold base of the floor, not the pain from his recently healed wounds, not the bite of the icy wind blowing around him. He shuffled carefully, keeping noise and movement to a minimum. How did I get here? Stumbling over his own limbs, Roxas held his breath back, afraid of drawing attention. His natural instincts of survival kicked in at once. Pain racked up the side of his body, inflicting invisible blows to his ribs and chest. He traced his fingertips lightly across his skin and felt the scars almost immediately. Poking out of them were metallic sticks that held the bloodied wound together. Obviously, this healing hadn’t done much to help him or he wouldn’t be in this predicament. Amazingly, and much to his own surprise, Roxas wasn’t mad. He wasn’t enraged, annoyed, or anything for that matter. He just felt nothing. It was the way a Nobody was supposed to feel. If anything, Roxas’s uncertainty littered his mind and the surrounding space, engulfing him in utter confusion. He knew almost immediately that Axel had been the one to save him. It wasn’t that hard to guess. Although the older man had dealt the death blows, Axel was still the only man in the Organization that had the stamina to stand up to the Superior. The question was…Why did Axel leave him behind? Roxas knew there was a reason, but he decided to think about it later. For now, he needed to rest. Memories of all kinds awoke in his deep slumber, culminating themselves in blurred dreams. Many of them were hard to distinguish between, but there were some that stood out clearly. ~XIII~ “What’s the matter with you Roxas?! You get on their bad side and they won’t hesitate to kill you. Don’t you understand that?†“And who would miss me? Huh? Tell me that Axel!†Roxas was elevated above the ground, held up only by Axel’s strength. He had Roxas in a death grip at the neck, and up against a hard stone wall. Silence encased the surrounding air, but only for a few seconds. The battle of wits employed by the teen’s eyes was stirring that silence up into bitter anger. “TELL ME!!!†“I WOULD!!!†“…What?†Instantly, Roxas’s lower half impacted the ground. Axel spoke with his back turned, hiding his irritation. “You just don’t get it.†~XIII~ “Do you want to know? O-R-A-S. The letters flew around him in a defiant whirlwind. Roxas still remembered that fateful day when he had come into existence. “You feel nothing. You can feel nothing. Do you want a meaning?†He had answered the man’s question with a ‘yes’, yet he knew not what would come of it. “Roxas.†“The new you.†~XIII~ Who was that? A white haired boy, not much older than he. Was that a keyblade? “Quit fooling around!†“What’s wrong Sora? Are you done already? Pretty pathetic.†Sora…he knew that name. But where from? “What are you talking about?! You’re the one who’s losing!†That voice…it wasn’t his. “You really are his Nobody…†~XIII~ The memories faded from there on. There wasn’t much left to his past. It all seemed to fly by. Roxas awoke to the heartless walls of the Castle That Never Was, still in the same spot he had been before. He lamented that small amount of sleep, and wanted to succumb to the darkness once more. But he wasn’t allowed that luxury. A portal of darkness opened up directly in front of him, swallowing anything it could into the shadows, and leaving nothing but black in its wake. No, please, don’t be… An eerie silence entered the hall as Roxas waited for someone to step through the gate. Maybe someone who would finish him off. Someone with no mercy.
Don't worry about that! I'm just glad you read it! The next chapter is almost done, but it probably won't be up until tomorrow or the day after. Be expecting it!
Aww! That's so sweet!! Don't worry, I'll have it up as soon as possible.
Holy Crap with the love!!! Thanks everyone who reads!!! Yeesh, don't strain yourself too much Foxxie! I don't want anything to happen to ya!!! But thank you for reading!!! Well, if I answered that, I might end up spoiling it a bit. Nex has talked to Namine a bit in the past, but I can asure you it may or may not be the last. You'll just have to see and find out! ^-^ Oooo...Nice vid... Thanks!!! The next chapter may take me a little longer to duke out than I had hoped. I haven't been able to get on the computer for the longest daggon friggin time, so it's a miracle I can even get on it now. But don't worry, I'll work on it as hard as I can. Promise!!! I really hope I don't dissapoint!!! I'm working on it right now!!! Thank you so much! I'm glad you like it!
I know, me too. Zexion may or may not have a bigger part later on in the story, so I had to make him fairly friendly in this one (though still partially the bad dude). And trust me, Vexen healing Roxas would have had the worst results. Period.
