What a f#%kin' shocker. When you know so many people—not even just friends, but acquaintances, classmates, people you overhear on the street—who want to vote for one candidate and none who want to vote for the other one, but the other one wins, nobody suspects something is up? This mini-documentary already made it pretty clear to me that the system is rigged. I can only imagine how many states had these exact same problems.

I dare you to respond to any five posts in the Spam Zone with "That's very interesting. You're very interesting." Gotta be recent, can't be mine.

So it's still receiving updates? I should expect as much from an indie dev, but that's good news. Maybe I'll give it a go after all.

I've been thinking about getting this. Never tried Harvest Moon back in the day, thought it wasn't really my thing, but it didn't stop me wondering what it was like. Is there an endgame in SV? Like, some kinda narrative closure or overarching goal? That's my only worry, that I'll feel listless without any significant milestones.

If you like Persona, you might like Catherine, same studio. It's kinda hard to describe, there's puzzle-block elements and date-sim elements and ??? Presentation is FLAWLESS tho. Really nice voice acting too. The versus mode is played at EVO, which will make no sense when you first see it, but it's surprisingly deep.

Aside from that, it depends what genres you want mixed and how thoroughly, but there's almost a game for every person at this point. I just played Furi, which is a boss rush game (like Punch-Out! or Shadow of the Colossus) that combines twin-stick shooter mechanics with character action combat. Overwatch is basically a TF2 moba. I could go on, but if you're looking for recs...

I can't get into most RPs for this reason, to be honest. The word count is too high, and not only that but there's just no point to it. The extra paragraphs don't really progress the story-telling experience; there's only so much you can say or do before you're dependent on the other participants' input. Sometimes a paragraph or two is appropriate, not all the time.

So no, I don't think you should give up. I believe the problem is with the RPs, not with you. In fact, I might start one and invite you to it, because it definitely won't be like that. I prefer the PbP style, almost like diceless D&D. The gameyness helps ensure that the plot stays goal-oriented and doesn't dwell on any one scene for too long.

btw I'm a writer by trade and consider myself pretty good so it's definitely not your writing skill at fault ;o (Never hurts to practice tho!)

Yeah, like right at the beginning you've got a lot of "This is the end" types of tracks, and then you've got Here and I Don't Want to Be Here Anymore right in a row. I would either nix some of those tracks or at least re-arrange them a bit.

Tips for next time, obviously. The mix is made and it works fine.

I admire your song choices, but I feel they could flow better. Apocalypse Please would've worked well after The Day the World Went Away, for instance, and Money might've worked better as the intro to the B-side. There's also a bit of thematic overlap on some songs but it's not bad.

Intense mix, man. Maybe more intense than we deserve lol. But I can feel the emotion.
