Everyone rent a couple DVDs of Inuyasha, grabs some beer, and everytime someone says something obvious, DRINK AS IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDED ON IT. You'll get so freaking wasted.
Lol, bringing it early. Got tired of waiting for the other 2 threads to die. So here you go... episode/chapter 3 =] Ban Note: Chapter 3 It was dark; the spamzone was shrouded in shadow. Beneath it all, a secret investigation group of staff members and choice premiums was taking place. The investigation on the hacker known as Shika was only just beginning, and there was quite a lot of work to do. “Alright, let’s begin with the public intelligence reports.” Hissora stood up. “The total number of PMs from the public comes up to 3029. Unfortunately, the large majority of them are just crap.” She paused “There are 14 reports of people claiming to know Shika, or to have seen him. All of these were investigated and carefully documented, and it appears none of them have anything worth looking into. And lastly… we received 2 incidents of people claiming to BE Shika. We didn’t want to rule anything out, so we followed them up and kept them on file.” She sat back down. “Alright, onto the victims.” Xaldin ordered. K A I R I stood and read off a sheet of paper. “We have confirmed that the before the victims were banned, their information was indeed made public. Also, pertaining Madi’s request that we look into the times of banning, we found that 68% of the time they occurred on weekdays between the hours of four in the afternoon to midnight, Spamzone time. Weekends and holidays seem to be the exception to this rule, where the hours can be totally random.” Madi spoke through the laptop lead was holding to the members of the taskforce. “That information is extremely relevant. It suggests that with the given time frame, Shika could very well be a student.” Xaldin perked his head up. “Given that they’re only targeting phailure, the culprit most likely has a very strong sense of justice. They may even aspire to become some sort of admin-like figure. We’re dealing with someone who has a very childish perspective.” Madi paused. “But this is mere speculation. Please rid yourself of any preconceptions you may have that our culprit cannot be a student. To consider every possibility, that is the shortest road to catching Shika. Please continue.” “Oh… yes.” Xaldin acknowledged. “Are there any other observations?” Ghetto raised his hand. “Um… yes?” He said, timidly. “What is it, Ghetto?” Hissora turned her head. “Well I’m not saying this to support Shika or to condemn the banning that has been happening… but…” He paused and looked down “In the past few weeks, around the forum… but especially here in the Spam Zone, we’ve noticed the dramatic decrease in the number of spam, trolls, and especially phail.” The other members let out sighs of disapproval. Ghetto looked around the room, dismayed that what he had said might’ve given him a worse reputation that he already had. “Yes, well, we expected something like that would happen.” Xaldin replied. “Is there anything else?” Ghetto sat back down. No one said anything. “Alright then, that includes today’s report. Madi?” “Thank you everyone, I feel we are one step closer to catching Shika.” Madi assured. “Before you all go, I’d like to make one more request. I need all of the teams to double check what information regarding each victim was previously released in the Spamzone. In particular, I’d like to know if photos of the victims were made public prior to their deletion. Thank you.” ***Outside of the building, a sleepless Xaldin stretched, his briefcase in hand. Ghetto ran up behind him, holding several cups of coffee. “You look like you could use one of these,” He said, giving one to Xaldin. “Sleeping much?” “Thanks,” Xal replied “I feel all these late nights are beginning to take their toll…” Ghetto looked down in embarrassment “About what I said earlier… I’m sorry. I’m pretty sure everybody already knew that.” “What on earth are you talking about?” Xaldin questioned “No one said it was easy to speak the truth, but it has to be done. Even when it does seem awkward to say.” Ghetto raised his head back up, the regret in his eyes changing into hope. “That being said, if you had gone on to say we should’ve let Shika get away with it because he was doing such a great job of cleaning the place up, then yes, I might’ve had a little problem with it.” Xaldin joked. “Oh, no! I would never--!” “Calm down, Ghetto. I’m only kidding.” Xaldin laughed. ***“Vivi… Vivi… What’re you doing? Vivi I’m BORED. Give me an apple.” “STFU, Remmis! I’m trying to ban people.” Vivi and Remmis once again had one of their boring, talkless nights. Vivi would do what entertained him, and Remmis would sit there begging for fruit. They were both getting tired of the same routine every night. Vivi couldn’t help but wonder where the investigation into him was going. “You seem more relaxed than usual, Vivi. Usually you start hitting me right after I get to the ‘I’m bored’ part.” Remmis joked “Yeah, I guess.” Vivi replied “I figure if the staff tries to come after me, I have something that will give me the advantage.” Vivi suddenly heard the door open. He walked downstairs to see a man with bright blond hair, home for the first time in a while. Remmis tilted her head in confusion. “Who’s that?” “My roommate…” Vivi moaned. Remmis started laughing like a maniac. “You live with another guy? Aw, GAY!” “What the hell, Remmis?!” He attempted to hit her “HE’S the gay one! I’m straight as a board!” “Yeah, a broken one.” “Oh you can go to hell.” Vivi walked into the kitchen and greeted his roommate. “Hey, Xaldin, welcome home.” They both hastily began making food. Remmis watched in silence. “Is everything alright, man? You look tired.” Vivi asked. “Yeah… I don’t know if I can say anything about it, but these meetings have been some sort of hell, lately. “Xaldin replied. ***“Well, well,” Remmis joked “Your roomie’s an admin! Is this the advantage you were talking about?” “Yeah,” Vivi replied. “I can acess loads of information through him without leaving a trace. The idiot just keeps his files lying around on the computer. He’s a ****ing moron.” Vivi’s fingers flew across the keyboard as millions of files appeared on the screen. “It seems they’re already beginning to suspect the culprit is a student.” He observed. “Guess that’s bad news for you!” Remmis exclaimed. Vivi said nothing; he simply sipped his coffee and began to think. “If the reason for banning is written within 40 seconds of writing the person’s name, it will happen…” He thought aloud. “If the reason for banning is not specified, the member will simply be banned for spamming in the spamzone. After writing the reason for banning, details of the banning should be written in the next minutes and 40 seconds.” He paused; “That sound about right to you, Remmis?” Remmis did not move. “So what’s your point?” “In other words,” Vivi thought aloud “If you write ‘spamming in the spamzone’ as a reason for banning, you can still write details afterwards.” He smiled “Looks like I’ll be able to provide you with some more entertainment, Remmis.” ***“I don’t believe this!” “Another 23 victims yesterday?! Are these confirmed?!” Xaldin shouted in disappointment. “Y...Yes” Kitty replied. “There were another 23 victims the day before that, too.” Xaldin sighed. “He’s banning one every hour on the hour.” “The fact that this has continued over two week days must mean…” Roxasvriku began “The theory that the culprit could be a student is weakened.” Kitty finished for him. “Not really,” Said Misty “Anyone could potentially skip a few days of school.” “You’re missing the point.” Everyone turned towards Madi’s voice. She sounded irritated. “It’s true that the likelihood of them being a student has gone down, but that’s not the message Shika is trying to send us.” She explained. “Ask yourselves: Why would they have spaced it out at one hour intervals? And why are the victims all n00bs whose deletion could be found out immediately? What Shika is trying to tell us is that he can control the time of ban as well.” “But,” Madi said, “Something’s not right… as soon as we began t suspect him as a student, the pacing of the bans changed, as if to contradict that theory. Coincidence? No… In fact, too convenient” She paused. “This can only mean that Shika has acess to staff information.” This is clearly a direct challenge to me. Madi thought. ***“I’d say Madi’s probably beginning to sweat a little by now.” Vivi taunted “What’ll really make her job hard is that I’ve saved about 50 n00bs unbanned for a time like this. Plus, thanks to the last few incidents, Madi should be beginning to suspect someone connected to the staff.” Shika has a way of getting staff-only information, Madi thought. This is one fact that can no longer be ignored. What is Shika’s final objective? What is he trying to achieve? “I don’t get it,” Remmis complained “Won’t showing them you have connections to the staff be an even greater disadvantage?” “I’m doing this to help me and destroy Madi.” Vivi replied “What do ya mean by that, though?” Remmis asked. “You still don’t understand KHV members; Remmis” Vivi scolded “There are very few people on this forum who actually trust each other. Even amongst the staff… and especially between the staff and Madi, who have never had a bond of trust from the beginning. Think about it—could you honestly trust someone whose username and face you didn’t know?” He tilted his head downward in a malicious gesture. “Now that Madi knows I’m getting staff information, without a doubt, she’ll try to find a trail leading to me that starts within the staff. When that happens, it will only be a matter of time before even the staff can’t keep quiet with respect to Madi.” Vivi smiled. “On the face of things, the staff members and Madi will appear to be working together. But behind the scenes, Madi will investigate the staff, and they will investigate Madi. I’m not going to be the one to find Madi…” his smile grew even wider. “I’ll let the staff do that for me. And then… I’ll ban her.” ***“What the hell is this?!” Xaldin looked at the letters on the desk before him. Fayth, Arc, and RVR stood directly in front of him. “With all due respect, sir…” Fayth began “We’re resigning.” “Unless we’re moved to a different case, you can have our badges right here.” Arc added. “But… why?” Xaldin asked, dismayed. “You’re good mods!” “Isn’t it obvious?” Fayth questioned. “It’s because we value our KHV-lives, sir.” “If what Madi says is true, then Shika has some sort of ESP-like power that allows him to ban from a distance,” Said RvR “Well if I were Shika, sir, I’d want to get rid of the people who were trying to find me.” “After all, if he gets caught, he will be banned himself.” Arc explained. Fayth chimed in. “We’ve already seen this from that incident on TV when Shika banned the ‘dummy Madi’ after being provoked.” He paused “But Madi hasn’t revealed her username, let alone her face! The order we received earlier from her, about checking information released about the victims prior to their deletion, and whether or not photos had been released… well she was right!” he slammed his hands onto the desk. “Every single one of them had their photo published and then they got banned!” “Unlike someone we all know,” Fayth continued “We’ve had to investigate with our staff ID’s made public. Anyone can find out our names!” “We could be banned at any time!” RvR exclaimed. “That’s why we’d like to be re-assigned,” Fayth explained. They all bowed their heads and left the room, much to the dismay of Xaldin, who shouted for them to not leave. But they ignored every word that was spoken, and left without another word. ***Remmis sat at the front of the classroom, gazing at the many staff members in training. She was bored beyond all belief, but really, that’s how she always was. Suddenly, she perked her head up. Footsteps…? On campus, this late at night…? She walked over to the nearby window and was surprised to see a dark figure hanging out by a lamppost and gazing up in the window right at her. “We had them arrive the Spamzone a couple days ago,” Lead said to Madi. “They’ve begun their investigation on the staff.” “…These are the people on the list?” Madi said, holding several inches of paper. “Affirmative.” She layed the papers down on the ground. There are 141 people in the staff who have access to information regarding Shika...I believe if we investigate them and the people closest to them… we will find our suspect. “Hey, Vivi.” “Remmis, how many times to I have to tell you not to talk to me in public?” “In that case, I’ll just talk, you listen.” Remmis ordered. “If you don’t want to listen you can just plug your ears or something.” She paused. “I don’t dislike you. In some ways I think the B& note couldn’t have been picked up by a better person. I’m just here cause I gotta stick around until the B& Note is done or I see you die, whichever comes first. But make no mistake, Vivi, I’m not on your side or Madi’s side.” “I know that much already, Remmis.” Vivi said, his eyes not meeting hers. “You’ll never hear me say anything about how what you’re doing is right or wrong, but as your roomie I might speak up every once in a while.” “What’s up, Remmis…? Why are you saying all this? It’s not like you at all.” Vivi asked, eager to just get to the point already. “It’s just that what I’m about to tell you is not because I’m on your side, or Shika’s, if you prefer, but because personally it’s starting to creep me out.” She explained “Get to the point.” Vivi’s rage was slowly going up. Remmis smiled. “You’re being followed by another member. He’s watching you right now.” For that split second, Vivi stopped dead in his tracks. He heard footsteps behind him, which quickly ceased as he did. He continued to walk. “It’s really starting to get on my nerves…” Remmis complained. “I know there’s no way in hell he can see me, but because I’m always following you I constantly feel like I’m being watched…” “I understand.” Vivi whispered “I’ll get rid of him soon for you, Remmis.” Who the hell is he?! Vivi thought, annoyed at the minor inconvenience. Does this mean Madi’s already started to suspect the staff? Whoever is investigating the staff must have large resources…Even if they have 50 people on the case, the chances that they’ll suspect I’m Shika are non-existent. They shouldn’t be looking at me as anything more than a mod-in-training. But if I leave him alone for a few months, the probability that I’ll be caught may rise above zero. Overall… I need my stalker’s name. If I can figure that out, I can take care of anything. “Hey, Vivi,” Remmis asked “Lemme tell you something cool.” Vivi turned his head in minor interest. “What makes a Spammigami who uses and B& Note and a KHV member who uses one different? Well, there are 2 things. And why do Spammigami write down names in their B& note, you got any ideas?” “Of course not.” Vivi answered. “You know… you sure are talkative today.” “It’s because Spammigami take banned member’s rep points for ourselves.” “You just sound like greedy-ass repwhores, to me.” “That’s not it at all,” Remmis said “We feed off of rep points.” “Right. Your repwhores.” “No, dammit! They keep us alive. If we don’t continue to get more and more, we’ll vanish. But so long as we have plenty of rep, we can do virtually anything and not get banned. However, if you write a name down, you don’t get ****.” Remmis explained. “That’s the first difference.” “Now there’s a theory about Gods of Spam I haven’t heard before.” Vivi replied. “The second difference will probably be of even greater interest to you.” Vivi looked Remmis directly in the eyes. “Though it doesn’t so much concern making KHV lives longer… more like cutting them short.” Remmis smiled. “What do you mean by that?” Vivi asked. Remmis moved in closer towards Vivi, making him flinch. “A Spammigami can see someone’s username just by looking at them. Do you know why?” She paused “Because through a Spammigamis eyes, a person’s username can be seen above their head. Not only that, we see their password as well.” “Woah… ****in 1337! You could hack and ban ANYONE!” Vivi said in amazement. “Yup, and when we ban someone, we know exactly what we’re gonna get from them.” She smiled “Our eyes just aren’t the same, and that is the difference between you and I.” “However,” Remmis said “If a God of Spam drops its notebook and a human picks it up, we can grant that person the eyes of a 1337 h4x0r, provided they made a little trade.” “And what might this trade be?” Vivi asked. “The price for a Spammigami’s hardcore hax0r eyes… is half or you’re remaining Rep points, that’s all it is.” Remmis’s gaze burned into Vivi’s. “If I had those eyes… I could get the name of the guy who’s following me… and his account!” Vivi said, excitement creeping into his voice. “So…” Remmis smiled. “What’ll it be, Vivi?”
Yup, here it be. Me and Vivi taunt eachother in this episode... and the equivalent to Kira comes from his second username xD Yeah. Lame, I know. Lololololol, bet no one can guess who Watari is xD Ban Note - Chapter Two The sound of school bells echoed throughout the hallways of the staff section. Vivi perked his head up from his desk, his eyes still heavy from boredom. But he wasn’t bored at all… no, he had a very strong goal that he was just beginning on. Remmis sat beside him, invisible to others, as it was only Vivi who had picked up the notebook, and only he could see the dark creature lurking behind him at what seemed like all times. She hid behind the desk, standing up only as the bell rang. “I thought it would never end…” Remmis moaned, “How do you do this every day? It’s so boring here!” Vivi ignored her and began to leave with his things packed, not saying a word to anyone. “Hey!” Remmis exclaimed “Where ya goin’?!” Vivi paced lackadaisically towards his house. Remmis followed behind him, annoying the living hell out of him every step. “Hey, Vivi! You listening?” Vivi mumbled under his breath. “Don’t talk to me,” he said through his teeth. “Unlike you, people can still hear me when I talk out loud.” Remmis flipped her head up in disinterest. “Hmph… well aren’t you boring.” Vivi continued to ignore Remmis as he stepped casually through the forum, going home. People called out to him, asking him how he was. He was, after all, one of the top-ranked members on the forum, being number 6 on the rep charts. His various friends called out to him. “Hey, Vivi, you wanna do something after school—“ “Sorry,” Vivi replied, feigning disappointment “I’m busy.” Remmis looked at him with an amused look on her face. “You don’t have anything to do! Aren’t you just going to go home and write spammers names in the B& Note?” “What’re you talking about, Remmis? Of course I have something to do.” Vivi’s tilted his head downward and hardened his expression. “Yes… something very important.” *** Vivi sat at his desk, his desk lamp illuminating his ashen face. His pen flew across the page as he continued to write multiple names of trolls, spammers, hackers, n00bs, and just overall idiots who needed to GTFO the internet. Remmis was sprawled out on his bed behind him, happily (but boredly) munching on a shiny crimson apple. She quickly finished it and continued to bother Vivi. “Hey Vivi,” She spat, “I’m talking to you.” Vivi did not look back. “Yeah, what is it?” “Why’re you working so hard?” “I don’t have time to waste,” he replied. “I only have a few hours a day to write names in the notebook between getting home from staff school and going to bed. It’s also important that I stay at the top of my class. Obviously I can’t be sleeping in class… not to mention I have to maintain my average and study constantly.” He paused. “But I also have to get plenty of sleep, because if I lack it, it will affect my mental health and concentration. I’m ridding this forum of phail and creating a utopia. No matter how much time I have, it will never be enough” Suddenly, the locked handle of Vivi’s door moved a couple inches. He heard a voice call through to him on the other side of the door. “Hey Vivi… why’s your door locked?” Relief swept over Vivi. “CtR…? What is it?” “I thought you might like to go to the spamzone together… hey, whatcha writing?” Vivi hastily closed the notebook, making sure to not show the front cover to CtR. He put it in the drawer and continued to talk to her. “Oh, it’s just staff work.” Remmis let out a small laugh as she spoke to Vivi “I’d be careful if I were you…” she said ominously, “If anyone else touches that B& Note, they can see me too.” A pang of realization suddenly hit Vivi. She waits until now to mention that important detail?! Damn Spammigami! “Huh?” CtR asked “What’s wrong, Vivi?” “Uh… nothing. Come on, we’ll go see what’s happening in the spamzone. I could use a break from all this work.” ***“Fifty-two in the past week, and these are just the ones we know about.” “Every single one of them for spamming in the spamzone…” “All of the victims well-known n00bs, spammers, or trolls.” Comments like these were not unfamiliar this week in the premium and staff sections. Tension was everywhere are these meetings were had. The staff and high-ranking premiums had never been more puzzled in their lives. They had no idea who was erasing these vile members from the site. Although not too disappointed, they still needed to get to the bottom of it. Sara spoke into her microphone. “We can assume that lurkers might have died as well, and we wouldn’t have known about it.” “In that case, the ban toll could be well over one-hundred.” Darkandroid said calmly. The staff members and premiums in the room exchanged nervous glances and murmurs. Xaldin walked quietly to his seat, GhettoXemnas sitting next to him. It was GX’s initiation as a premium, and all new premiums got to go to one of the monthly staff gatherings as a reward for working towards premium. Xaldin sat down next to him. “Hey Xal. They started without you…” GX said to him. “Yes… I received an urgent call from Deathspank to come here.” Xaldin replied. The meeting continued. “But they’re all members who were bound to be banned, anyways… is it really a great concern?” Kitty addressed to the others. “That’s ridiculous!” Sara lectured “Who cares if they’re n00bs, or even spammers? Last time I checked, banning them just because is still wrong!” DA shrugged. “It’s still too late to consider this as more than a coincidence.” Sara slammed her hands on the table and stood up furiously. “Then how did all these people suddenly become erased from our database at the same time? That’s no coincidence, it’s practically murder!” “You think it’s possible to simultaneosuly ban hundreds of somewhat innocent members?” there was arrogance and sarcasm in DA’s voice. Kitty cut in. “We’re treating this as an elaborate plot carried out by a group of individuals with higher powers. Possibly an organization of hackers…” “If it is a group of people,” DA began “I’m sure I’m not alone in suspecting our very own staff!” Sara rose once again, enraged beyond all belief. “I dare you to say that again!” “Now, Now,” Kitty attempted to end the fight “This is not the time to be joking around. We need to determine if these are really more than just coincidence!” “How? Deathspank’s report said that in every situation, they were all banned for the ridiculous reason of spamming in the spamzone, when some of them never even touched it!” DA questioned. “You can’t exactly track down the person who is doing this, the only people with banning powers are the staff, and we haven’t had any personal traitors since… Boris!” Kitty exclaimed. Sara gathered up all her courage and spoke. “If that’s the case, then it looks like we’ll have no choice but to bring in Madi.” The entire room fell into shock. No one spoke; they all merely exchanged glances of doubt, worry, fear, horror. GX, however, just observed them, before turning to Xaldin. “Um… Xal, what’s this ‘Madi’ they’re talking about?” He asked. “Oh, that’s right, I forgot this is your first time here…” he replied. “We don’t know Madi’s real username, or even what she looks like… but she’s managed to solve countless anomalies that have happened on this forum. She hides in the shadows; but she’s the best of the best. You might say she’s a last resort… our trump card.” “But I hear this ‘Madi’ is extremely arrogant,” DA said “I understand she’ll only take on cases she’s personally interested in!” “Madi is already on the move.” All the members in the room turned their head to see a tall, ebony-clothed man. His face was hidden by sunglasses and a hat, and he carried a laptop under his arm. “Honorable Staff… Madi has already begun her investigation of this case.” He said. “Lead…” one of the members said. GX turned to Xaldin, yet again. “Who’s that, Xal?” He asked. “That man is the only known person who can contact Madi. No one knows his real username, either.” Xaldin replied, not taking his eyes off Lead. “Please be silent,” Lead ordered, coolly as he sat the laptop down. “Madi will now speak.” A large print of a dog paw flashed on the screen as a high voice (modified to stay hidden) addressed the staff members. “Greetings to all of you who care for KH-vids,” she said. “I am Madi.” ***“What are we doing in such a dump, Vivi?” Remmis had a slight annoyance in her voice. Really, she had no idea why in seven hells Vivi would be in the back of an alley, and in the RP section, too. Everyone knew that place had gone to hell the moment it was created. “Whoever touches the notebook can see you, right Remmis?” Vivi asked. “I can’t just be keeping this thing around like it’s some ordinary notebook. Until now, I was thinking that if anyone saw it, I could just tell them I was keeping track of all the members that had been banned in preparation for becoming a moderator. But I’m walking a fine line here… If I mess up, I may just have to ban some of my dearest friends.” He said, preparing some sort of device. He poured liquid over it as it burst into flames, illuminating his and Remmis’ faces. ***“The difficulty of this case lies in its unprecedented scope; and make no mistake; we’re witnessing an atrocious act, one that cannot be ignored.” Madi addressed the staff members. “It cannot be solved without the full cooperation of the staff. In particular, I’d like to request the help of the Spamzone’s representatives.” GX and Xaldin stood up. “What? Why us in particular?” Xaldin asked. “Whether the guilty party is an individual or a group,” Madi said “There is a strong possibility that they are a regular in the spamzone.” “What’s all this based on?” Xaldin questioned. “I believe I’ll be able to show you exactly where the evidence is from in a direct confrontation with the culprit.” Madi replied. “A direct confrontation…?” Xaldin continued to question. “Therefore, I request that the investigation take place in the heart of the spamzone.” ***Vivi closed his desk drawer, and accomplished looked beaming on his face. “That was easier than I thought it would be.” Remmis looked at him with a touch of amusement in her eyes. “Huh? Does that mean you managed to hide the notebook?” “Yup,” Vivi replied “It’s right here in this drawer.” “But it doesn’t appear to be particularly well-hidden…” Remmis stated “You left the key in the lock!” She exclaimed, her eyes fixed on the silver key hanging from the lock of the drawer. “Of course,” Vivi said, as if what Remmis had said meant nothing. “I intentionally left the key in the most obvious place.” He pulled open the drawer, revealing a brown book with the word ‘Diary’ imprinted on it. Remmis tilted her head in confusion. “Isn’t that just a regular diary?” “Yep. I figure once most people read the diary, it’ll probably satisfy their curiosity.” Vivi replied. “But, the real key… is this.” He said, grabbing a pen out of a jar on his desk. “Just an everyday item you’d expect to find on my desk, a regular ball-point pen.” He untwisted the point, and pulled out the ink cartridge “And all I need is this.” “So THAT’S the key?” Remmis asked. “Yes,” Vivi replied “Under this drawer there’s a tiny whole that you wouldn’t notice unless you were specifically looking for it. Then you just insert this…” he said, pushing the ink cartridge into the hole, raising another layer of the drawer. “Ah,” Remmis realized “A false bottom… with the diary as a decoy, I doubt anyone would actually find the notebook.” “That’s not all.” Vivi added. “Even if they find out the drawer has a fake bottom, there’s another trick hidden beneath it. When I close the bottom, this piece of rubber here falls between two metal pieces. It replaces the ink cartridge as an insulator, and the electrical current stays interrupted. If someone were to force the bottom open, the circuit would connect and ignite the gasoline in this thin plastic casing, instantly setting the notebook on fire, destroying all evidence.” He paused to breathe “if I’m ever questioned, I can just tell them I was hiding the real diary in the fake bottom. It’s the most human of reasons… after all, it is my diary.” “I’ve heard of B& notes coming into this part of the forum before, and typically the biggest problem members have is trying to hide it.” Remmis said, amazed. “But you, Vivi… you’re the first to have gone this far.” She turned her head towards the drawer. “Though it’s a pretty risky setup… if you make even the slightest mistake you could be badly burned.” “Risky?” Vivi asked “You say the strangest things sometimes, Remmis. This whole thing has been a risk from the moment I picked up the B& Note. Compared to that, this is hardly a risk. In fact, it actually protects me.” He put his hands behind his head and layed back in his chair. “It all depends on what I’d rather deal with, getting banned and erased for all eternity from here, or dealing with a little house fire.” ***This is unbelievable, useless members are dropping like flies! It’s a little scary, but at the same time, it’s kinda cool. Now it’s as if we can’t do anything wrong anymore! It’s gotta be the staff, right? No way, they can’t pull off something like that. Don’t you know about him? Know about whom? Shika! You know, Shika…? I wonder who’ll be banned next…! “Take a look at this, Remmis.” Vivi sat at his desk once again, Remmis sat idly behind him. The pale light of his computer shined on his face as he brought up a website other than KHV. “People are already putting up websites.” Remmis read the words on the screen. “’The Legend of Shika the Savior’… is this about you?” “Yeah, it looks like they’ve already given me a nickname.” Vivi said, slightly amused. “All you have to do is search the word ‘Shika’ and you’ll get pages of results. The staff hasn’t picked up on it yet; they’re still referring to it as a serious of unexplained banning. But people on the forum are already feeling it… they know there’s someone out there passing righteous judgement.” “Ah…” Remmis trailed off. “This is what KHV members are like, Remmis,” Vivi began “For instance, say in a thread, we have a discussion and talk about whether members who just overall phail deserve to be banned. Well, you can bet that you’d get the same answer from everyone: ‘It’s just wrong to ban for no reason.’ And that’s the correct response. The members of KHV have to maintain an appearance for the staff members, that’s just how we are. But on other sites, where you can remain anonymous… support for Shika is growing. Those who are made of win are cheering Shika on in their hearts, while those who fail epically are forced to fun from an enemy they can’t ever see.” He smiled “This is how it should be. Everything is going just as planned.” Vivi directed his attention toward the TV as he heard a news report beginning. “We’d like to apologize for the interruption. As of now we are bringing you a live global report from the staff section.” The screen suddenly changed to and image of a member who many were familiar with. “i ttly hed all th staf in tis forum!!!!!!!” she said “my names kairi namine but most people call me madi so hi!!!!!!” “What the fu…” “VIVI, YOU KNOW THE FORUM IS ONLY PG RATED!” Remmis cut him off. “so thers this guy namd sheeka whoz making all thes members go awy an I think its stupid!!!” Kairi Namine said. “im gonna find u!! then u wil regret all of this! U ttly phail an u r mean!!!” Vivi tilted his head downward. “You think… I phail?” he said, softly. “I am WIN! I protect the forum and destroy phail! I am the one who will be the admin of this forum who everyone desires! All those who would oppose me… they are the ones who truly phail! I guess you were just too stupid, Madi…” he pulled out the B& Note and wrote down the name ‘Kairi Namine’ and smiled evilly at the screen. “No one in the world can save you now… the whole forum is watching… Madi…” The seconds on the clock slowly ticked down. 5… 4… 3… 2… And just like that, Kairi Namine started to fade, pixel by pixel; she vanished forever from the site, the only thing left being large, grey lettering in her place. Banned for spamming in spamzone. Vivi stayed still for a moment. A smile slowly crept onto his face. He began to laugh in cold blood at the feat he had just accomplished. “What’s the matter?!” he said as the screen flashed off to a technical difficulties image. “You haven’t got anything else to say?!” Suddenly, the image of a paw print flashed on the screen. Vivi flinched slightly as this happened, his expression tensing up as the image unexpectedly appeared. “I… I had to test it just to see if it was real but… it looks like it’s true!” The modified voice of Madi said. “Shika… it seems you can ban people without actually being present! I couldn’t believe it until I saw it with my own eyes… Listen to me, Shika. If you really did just ban Kairi Namine, the member you just saw on TV, I’ll have you know that she was a complete idiot and multiple offense spammer who was set to be banned sometime today. That was not me.” Vivi’s eyes widened. “What…?” “We made no reports of him in the staff section, and never discussed him outside of PMs. It appears even you had no idea who he was.” Madi challenged. Remmis cackled and looked at Vivi. “He got you there.” “However,” Vivi heard her say “Madi is real. I DO exist. Now… Try to ban me!” Vivi watched in horror as Madi taunted him with what power he lacked. Madi continued to shout. Vivi watched, the staff watched, the members of the forum all watched as the message was broadcast. Everyone exchanged murmurs and glances. The staff members questioned Madi’s confrontational methods, and the other members watching on in horror cheered Shika onward. “Well, Shika…” Madi began “It appears you can’t ban me. You’ve given me a useful hint…! Now it’s my turn to give you some information in return. Although we announced this as a global broadcast being shown all around the forum, the truth is we’re only broadcasting it in the upper region of the spamzone. I planned to broadcast it around the entire forum until I found you, but that’s no longer necessary.” Remmis cackled once again. “This Madi chick is pretty damn good.” “And,” Madi added “Although the staff made no note of this, you’re first victim was indeed Boris, who brought hundreds of trolls to the site the other day. His crimes, compared to a lot of what’s happening on the forum now, are not nearly as bad as those you have been banning for. Moreover, the case was only broadcast in the Spamzone—nowhere else.” She paused “I used that information to deduce this much: You are in the Spamzone, and your first victim was no more than an experiment, which means you haven’t been banning for long.” Vivi’s eyes grew wider and wider as Madi spoke. “We broadcast this in the Spamzone because it is indeed the most populated board on the forum. However, that you appeared to be there was just pure luck. I didn’t expect everything to go so according to plan, but… it appears it won’t be long before I have you banned.” Madi paused yet again, and laughed softly. “Madi has... certainly lived up to her reputation!” GX said as he watched the broadcast from headquarters. “Yes,” Xaldin agreed. “She proved that Shika exists, that he is in the Spamzone, and that he can ban from afar.” “Shika,” Madi addressed, “It would interest me greatly to know how you carry out this Bannage, but that’s something I’ll find out after I catch you. Until we meet again, Shika.” The screen flashed off, leaving only static, and a confused and humiliated Vivi standing, puzzled beyond all belief. “She says… she’ll get me banned?” he ran his fingers through his hair, and laughed. “I accept your challenge, Madi!” Remmis gazed blankly at Vivi. Each of them have to battle each other without knowing the others name or face… and the first one who is found out will die. She smiled. Staffies really are… so much fun! “Madi…” Vivi said “Shika.” Madi said aloud from her room. The two were miles apart, but their words were completely in synch. I will hunt you down wherever you’re hiding and I will eliminate you! I am… I am… Epic win!

Ban Note ---Chapter One--- You all saw it coming. Only some Vivi and RRMS in this chapter, plus some special cameos from other members. But there will be others, trust me. BAN NOTE - A KHV/DEATH NOTE SPOOF Shadows shrouded another realm in darkness. Dark figures moved slowly across the barren floor. This place was drained of life, its only inhabitants being creatures with what they thought was no existence at all. The only sound heard was the dry cackling of these vile creatures, and the ear-piercing clank of skulls hitting each other as the dark figures mindlessly used them as props, toys for their own amusement. “What? A pair of sleeping skulls?” “Hehe… I win again! No hard feelings, right?” The figures turned their heads away from their petty gamble and looked at another dark creature. This one was darker than most, clothed completely in black. She was pale, her dark brown hair spiked high. Her face was ominous, and her burning amber eyes gazed mindlessly into the distance. Black feathers covered her shoulders, and an earring in the shape of a heart dangled from her left ear. She sat, mounted atop a peak of some sort. It was hard to tell what exactly it was, as the entire realm seemed a barren wasteland, fated to go on forever with no ends. The creature sat there, subconsciously replying to any attention directed towards her. “Hey there, Remmis! Would it kill you to join us?” “You should come play with us for a change!” The enigma known as Remmis did not move her eyes away from the horizon. She simply spoke in a dry, ominous voice as she daydreamed of what was to come. “No… I’ll pass.” ***Clouds darkened the sky of the KH-vids. The many boards were empty, all except for the staff section. The site was slowly dying, making way for an era where people were banned left and right. People left on a weekly basis, and many believed KHV could never be more corrupt. A boy sat in the spamzone, his eyes staring bleakly into the distance. The many staff members, ex-staff members, and staff-in-training sat around him, having mindless chats and not caring to pay attention to the admin who was trying to teach them. The admin ignored this fact and called on the boy who was probably paying the most attention, regardless of the fact that he made no eye contact. “You there, Vivi. Could you please translate the following sentence into KHVidian?” The boy looked up; his eyelids drooped with boredom and disinterest. But he nonetheless, obeyed the admin. He stood, his eyes flipping across the page. “Follow the teachings of Deathspank and obey his blessings, and so it shall be that the trolls will again find pointless fun elsewhere; and the spamming n00bs will subside.” He sat back down. “That’s very good. Not that I would expect any less from one of the top members. You are dismissed.” The bell rang as Vivi walked outside. Stickies could be seen far and wide, announcing new rules, trolls attacking the site, people leaving, people being bored, n00bs phailing, and spammers… spamming. Vivi glared in disgust at these updates, speaking quietly to himself. Day in and day out...The same old news on permanent repeat… This is all so… ridiculous. This forum is… Rotten. -The next day-Vivi again sat at his desk, braving staff class. He was 17 at the time, practically ready to become a staff member himself. He was top of his class, but he yearned for more. He was simply bored with life, he wanted entertainment. Vivi wanted a solution to this boring forum that so many called corrupt and dead. He wanted a getaway. And that’s when he noticed something—something too surreal to even be happening. An object falling, seemingly from the sky. Vivi gasped quietly as he saw this, as it was indeed and unusual event. It was a notebook, black as the shadows of night. It flipped and spun as it fell from the heavens, and Vivi watched it, trying not to draw too much attention to him. The sun shone on it for a single second, and he clearly made out the words on the front cover. Ban Note… Vivi saw it slowly hit the ground. The bell rang, once again. He walked outside, his feet slowly padding across the grass. He stood directly where the notebook had fallen, and saw it right below his feet. Curiosity seeped into his mind as he cautiously picked it up. The leather notebook felt cold in his hands, it felt as if it was from a whole other place—it was an alien feeling that Vivi couldn’t quite grasp, but he kept a tight grip of the notebook nonetheless. His eyes fixated on the silver writing on the cover, and the same words he had barely made out stood there, bright and clear. Vivi read them once again, speaking quietly. “B& Note?” he questioned, “As in… a Notebook of Bannage?” His hands softly felt around the cover as he opened it. There was a small section of writing inside, in pale white in on the book’s ebony backside cover. “How to use it…” he read softly to himself, “The member who’s username is written in this notebook… shall be banned?” He set the notebook back down with a disappointed look in his eyes. He smiled with a touch of arrogance and began to walk away from the spot where he and the notebook were. “Obviously a prank. You write a username and that member gets banned? Come on.” Suddenly, Vivi turned his head, glanced at the notebook, and ran back to pick it up. There must be something wrong with me to even consider it, He thought. Vivi sat in his room, the lamp on his desk and the iridescent light of his computer and TV shone on his face. His eyes flew across the page as he read the rest of what had been written on the inside cover of this supposed Banning Notebook. This note will not take effect unless the writer has the member’s face in their name when writing his/her username. Therefore, people sharing the same username on separate sites will not be affected. If the reason for banning is written within 40 seconds of writing the member’s name, it will happen. If the reason for banning is not specified, the person will simply be banned for spamming in the spamzone. After writing the reason for banning, details of the ban should be written in the next 6 minutes and 40 seconds. Vivi smiled sarcastically. So, depending on the member you can either make them get banned for something small or make them go painfully. He thought. A prank this intricate isn’t too bad, I guess. Vivi closed the notebook and layed down on his bed, yawning. He began to wonder just a little more about this strange notebook. So I write a name and that member gets… banned. He closed his eyes, struggling not to fall into sleep. Suddenly, something lit up inside of him. He jumped out of bed, sat at his desk, grabbed a pen and pointed it towards the blank pages of the B& Note. His heart raced. He knew he had to test it. Vivi turned on his TV, flinching as the light hit him in his dark room. There was a new thread that had recently been posted. “This just in!” Said 2Foxxie4U as she reported for the forum news coverage, “Boris is trolling the site as of now! Millions of trolls are pouring in!” A still picture of Boris came up on the screen, and his username was displayed under it. Vivi took note of this, and slowly wrote Boris’ name in the notebook. He stared mindlessly as the thread report carried on. The hand finally hit 40 seconds, and nothing unusual happened. Vivi laughed quietly. “I knew nothing would happen. Looks like the B& Note doesn’t work after all.” But his smile suddenly turned into an expression of shock and amazement. Foxxie had this same look on her face as she repeated the report she was receiving. “What? The trolls are all leaving! What’s going on?!” She paused for a moment. “Ok, we have just received confirmation. Boris has been found banned inside the spamzone. I repeat, Boris is now banned!” Shock seeped into Vivi’s senses. Had he really just banned someone? He couldn’t be sure, perhaps it was just coincidence… but either way, he had to test it… just one more time, that’s all. Vivi walked the streets of Anything Else, a cruel, dark place that was nothing more than an area where n00bs went because posts were a mere fantasy in the Spamzone. He walked directly into a thread, pretending to be engaging in the conversation. However, he could see what was really going on outside of the thread. There, he saw Crono, a popular member, but with hobbies so sick you’d swear he wasn’t human. He approached a younger woman, known by the name of Stardust, and attempted to cyber with her. Naturally she refused. This enraged Crono, who charged towards her, trying to yank off her clothes. Vivi watched in disgust as he opened the B& Note. He hastily wrote Crono’s name down, and waited 40 seconds. He wrote in the reason for banning as “Being himself.” Stardust broke free of Crono’s grip, and ran directly into the staff section. Crono suddenly ran after her, but sadly did not see what was coming towards him. Suddenly, A staff member began to charge at him, smacking him mindlessly with a Ban Hammer. Vivi watched in horror, trying to hold back the bile rising in his throat at the site of Crono’s remains lying on the cold streets of the Staff section. His eyes grew wide. This settles it. He thought, The B& Note… its for real! ***Remmis’ amber eyes finally moved from the spot she had been focusing on. “It’s been five days. Now then… I should get going.” The other creatures perked their heads up once again from their game, surprised to see Remmis talking to them. “Huh? You headed somewhere, Remmis?” “Hate to tell you, but our whole world looks like this.” Remmis smiled slightly as she replied. “That’s true, but I’ve dropped my B& Note.” The other creatures began to cackle loudly. “You really messed things up, didn’t you?” “But wait a second; weren’t you carrying 2 around behind the old man’s back? Don’t tell me you lost them both…” “Yeah, you must have some idea of where you dropped the thing!” “Yeah,” Remmis’ voice deeply answered, “The Staff section.” The others stopped laughing and slight shock came over them. “Seriously…?” Remmis said nothing, she simply walked away. In front of her was a large portal. The iridescent glow of it illuminated Remmis as she stared into it, unblinking. Suddenly, large wings sprouted from her backside. They stretched out wide as she dove face first into the portal. The light blinded her momentarily, but before she knew it she was in a completely separate place. Rain soaked through her wings, and lightning struck endlessly. Still, she flapped her wings as hard as she could and carried on through the massive storms. Vivi opened the door and walked inside. He ran up to his room, locked the door, and pulled the notebook out of his desk drawer. He hastily opened it, and began to laugh quietly, but maliciously. The once-blank pages of the B& Note were now filled top to bottom with usernames. Hundreds and hundreds of usernames. Vivi’s voice went up a few octaves as he laughed. The look on his face was no longer that of a mere 17-year-old who was just like you or me, no—it was the look of a madman. The look of a murderer. “You’ve taken quite a liking to it.” Vivi suddenly turned around. Lightning flashed once as he saw the most horrifying creature he had ever encountered in his life. Its bulging amber eyes sent chills down his spine, and the frozen smile on its face made him scream in terror. He grabbed the chair to his desk to use as a ground, but merely fell over, petrified at the sight before him. It was like a horrible, horrible nightmare. “No need to act surprised,” The creature said, quite friendly. “I am the Spammigami, Remmis. That used to be my notebook. Judging by your laughter, you’ve already discovered that what you’re using is no ordinary notebook.” Vivi took a moment to register the situation. “A Spammigami… a God of Spam, huh? I’m can’t say I’m surprised… In fact,” he smiled. “I’ve been waiting for you… Remmis.” Remmis lifted her head in amusement. “Oh?” “I picked up the B& Note knowing that the consequences would come. So what now? You gonna erase all my posts or something?” Remmis smiled “Hm? What’s that? Some fantasy you Staffies came up with? I’m not going to do anything to you…” her smile grew wider. “Once a B& Note is dropped in the Staff section, it belongs to the Staffies. So it’s yours now.” Vivi’s expression suddenly grew softer. “Wait, so you’re saying I can use the b& Note without any consequences?” “Well,” Remmis began “Let’s just say this… you will feel the fear and suffering that only those who have used the Note will feel. And when it’s your time to leave, it will fall apon me to write your name in MY B& Note… and be warned, any member who’s used a B& Note will be bound to KHV for all eternity.” She paused “That’s all.” Remmis finished, letting out a dry, amused cackle. Suddenly, a knock came on the door. Vivi heard his mom calling through the locked door. “Mom!” Vivi spat out “I thought I told you to stay the hell off my internets!” “BUT I BROUGHT APPLEZ D:” he heard her yell back. Vivi’s palm hit his face as he opened the door, grabbed the fruit, and kicked his mom off the interwebz. He set the apples down on his desk, not realizing Remmis was directly next to them. Vivi began to speak, but was quickly ignored by Remmis, who was shoveling apples down her throat. “****’s better than rep from an admin!” she said after she had eaten all of them. “By god, you fail.” Vivi insulted “So… why did you choose me?” Remmis laughed “Keh… I didn’t choose you. You think I picked you out because you’re so smart or something? Don’t be so vain. The notebook just happened to fall around here and you just happened to pick it up.” “But why did you drop it in the first place?! You even wrote specific instructions, so don’t try and tell me this was an accident!” Vivi raised his voice. “You’re asking me why?” A wide smile stretched across Remmis’ face. “I did it because I was bored.” Vivi softened his expression, once again. “You were... bored?” “The truth is, Spammigami don’t have much to do these days. All we do is post dead threads, or gamble. If you take the time to write usernames, the others just laugh at you for working so hard. I needed a change.” Remmis picked up the notebook, glancing at the names. “Gotta say, though, you’ve really written a lot of names in here… look at how many people you’ve banned in just 5 days.” Vivi looked absent minded as he stared at Remmis. “I was… bored, too.” Remmis looked down at him once again. “Really…” “I didn’t want to believe it at first, but that notebook has a power that makes anyone want to use it, at least once.” Vivi smiled. ---Flashback---I banned them both… Vivi thought, disgusted with himself. I really… I banned two members! Those were valued accounts… it won’t be overlooked! Besides… who am I to pass judgment on others? Vivi’s eyes suddenly burned with a fire so intense, the heat got to you by merely glancing at them. No… wait a minute; this is exactly what I’ve been thinking all along! This forum is rotting, and those who are making it rot deserve to be banned! Someone has to do it… so why not me? No, that’s just it! No one else can do it! I wonder… if someone else had picked up this notebook, could they do it? No… they wouldn’t have the guts… but I do! Using the B& Note… I’ll change the world! ---End Flashback—Remmis stood there, listening contently to what Vivi was saying. She glanced at the notebook one more time. “Hey, I have a question…” Vivi looked her straight in the face, all fear he had ever harbored dissipating slowly. “Yeah?” “How come you only specified the reason for banning for that perv?” “If I don’t specify it, they’re just banned for spamming in the spamzone… and that’s probably the best thing about the B& Note. Even a fool would realize that someone is knocking off all the n00bs and trolls by such an unusual method!” Vivi had an immense smile on his face. “I’m going to make this forum know of my existence… that there is someone out there passing righteous judgment on the wicked!” "But if you did that, that'd make you the only bad person left..." Remmis accused. "I have no idea what you're talking about." Vivi said un-fased, a smile on his face. "I'm a hard working Staff-in-training who's considered to be one of the forums best and brightest..." Vivi began to cackle deeply “And I… I will become the admin of this new forum!” Remmis’ face lit up as she cackled endlessly into the night. “I was right…” she exclaimed, “Staffies are… so much fun!”
