    LiSTEN UP!

    Sarcasm (sahr-kah-zm)

    Sarcasm is a form of irony that is bitter or cutting, being intended to taunt its target.

    Humor (hugh-more)

    Humour or humor (see American and British English spelling differences) is the tendency of particular cognitive experiences to provoke laughter and provide amusement. Many theories exist about what humour is and what social function it serves. People of all ages and cultures respond to humour. The majority of people are able to be amused, to laugh or smile at something funny, and thus they are considered to have a "sense of humour."

    A sense of humour is the ability to experience humour, although the extent to which an individual will find something humorous depends on a host of variables, including geographical location, culture, maturity, level of education, intelligence, and context. For example, young children may possibly favour slapstick, such as Punch and Judy puppet shows or cartoons (e.g., Tom and Jerry). Satire may rely more on understanding the target of the humour, and thus tends to appeal to more mature audiences. Nonsatirical humour can be specifically termed "recreational drollery."

    My Tunnel

    ...Yeah, my third poem in like a week. You guys must be getting sick of reading my stuff by now, eh?

    Welcome to my tunnel.
    What brings you this way?
    A little stress? A troubled heart?
    Well of course you can stay.

    Look around my tunnel.
    Now, what do you see?
    Nothing yet? Nothing still?
    Nothing’s guaranteed.

    Whisper in my tunnel.
    It yells back when you shout.
    You must be quiet in the dark
    Or you’ll never get out.

    Hide here in my tunnel.
    It really is unique.
    Outside we’ll watch them pass us by;
    They’ll miss us when they seek.

    Wait here in my tunnel.
    Things can’t get any worse.
    You mustn’t think of action;
    That’s for outside, of course.

    Now, think about my tunnel.
    Do you really want to stay?
    My tunnel is the darkest,
    But the exit’s either way.

    OMG I swear my roommate just bathed herself in perfume. I'm dying! My nose is burning, and my eyes are watering, and now there's like 6 people stuffed in my tiny room watching her use my mirror to put on makeup and more perfume. COUGH COUGH CAN'T BREATHE GAHHH GOODBYE CRUEL WORLD!!

    Death by perfume... do you think I'll get in the paper for that??

    Okay, this poem is a little more depressing than my poems usually are, buuut I like it anyways ^_^

    I wrote this like a year and a half ago or something, and I thought I'd share. I have ADD and OCD (both mild), which is kind of strange, cause they're pretty opposite (ADD makes me totally unfocused and random, and OCD makes me want to make everything perfect, no matter how long it takes), and so this describes how it used to feel for me. I've kind of outgrown them now (thankfully), so I don't really feel this way anymore. But anyone else with either of these things will understand what I mean.

    Tell me what you think!

    Chaos to the left of me,
    Perfection to the right.
    I’m bound here in the middle and
    The chains are pulled too tight.

    You’d think that I’d be balanced
    With these opposites of mine;
    But opposites do not attract,
    So here I am confined.

    “Come on!” the others shout to me
    As they all rush ahead;
    I’m struggling to follow, for
    It’s losing them I dread.

    I drag my heavy burdens,
    My progress very slow,
    And with each step the two of them
    Are fighting for control.

    I come upon a tiny wall;
    It’s standing in the road.
    Most hardly have to lift their feet
    To cross, but with my load

    I know that I will just get stuck
    (My burdens aren’t light),
    And before long, to my dismay,
    The two begin to fight:

    “Well go on,” says Perfection, “Now
    Just hurry up and cross.”
    I take a step, “That wrong!” she shouts.
    “Remember, I’m the boss!

    Each and every move you make
    Must be exactly right
    Or you’ll have to start again; go quick
    Or you’ll be here all night.”

    “How boring,” Chaos whines. She grabs
    My hand. “I want to play!
    There’s plenty more that we could do,
    Try this another day.”

    “We have already started,”
    Says Perfection looking tense.
    “Don’t listen to that imbecile,
    Don’t keep me in suspense;

    It hurts when you don’t do it right.”
    And I could feel it too:
    Perfection’s pain mimicked in me;
    Every moment it grew.

    “I’m hurting inside too, you know,”
    Says Chaos, and it’s true;
    Her pain is now in me as well;
    I don’t know what to do.

    I cannot please the both of them,
    But both I must obey.
    So I end up doing nothing
    And I can’t move either way.

    People all around me stare
    And seem to wonder why
    I have yet to cross the wall. “You
    Are so lazy,” they all sigh.

    “You aren’t even trying to
    Step over the small wall.”
    I shake my head and tell them that
    Is not the case at all.

    “I’m trying,” I explain to them,
    “I really, truly am.
    I want to make it past this wall,
    There’s just no way I can.”

    “Don’t lie,” somebody hisses,
    “There’s no way that is true.
    No one else has had that problem,
    So tell us, why should you?

    You’re capable of doing it,
    We can see nothing wrong.”
    I cry as they all walk away
    And scream when they are gone,

    For when I described my burdens
    There was something I forgot:
    Though I can always see them, those
    Around me, they cannot.

    I hate that I am bound here, and
    I’m longing to be free,
    But even more than that I wish
    Someone could finally see

    That there’s Chaos to the left of me,
    Perfection to the right,
    And I’m dying in the middle:

    These chains are pulled too tight.

    And usually, at the part where you have to get money from jobs, I get at least 800 like I'm supposed to just cause, well, because I'm strange like that.

    So anyways, this most recent time, I only got like 100, cause I was bored with Twilight Town, and I knew it wouldn't really matter. So I go to Hayner, and then instead of saying "Wow! Way to go Roxas!" or whatever they usually say when I bring the right amount, they just kind of stared at me and said "...Good job, I guess..."

    :( I feel ashamed.

    Come dance under the moonlight
    ‘Till you lose all sense of time--
    ‘Till you’ve lost yourself completely
    To the music so sublime

    Always continue turning
    With the never ending beat--
    Come dance under the moonlight--
    Please come and dance with me

    So right before I left for math class, I thought "Man, I really don't wanna go to this class... I wish it was cancelled. But there's no way, she doesn't cancel class... still, maybe if I wish reeeeeeeeeeeally hard..."

    So I walk all the way over there, and there's a piece of paper on the door saying "MAT 214-08: CANCELLED April 27, 2009."

    OH YEAH!! TAKE THAT HARRY POTTER!!

    Unfortunately, apparently my shoes decided to punish me for not wanting to learn and cut into my heels, so not only did I walk the 20 minutes there and back for nothing, but now I am injured.

    ...Maybe I'm not magical. I'm an alchemist. Equivalent exchange, man. Equivalent exchange.

    So I'm going to show you all a picture I drew last year.

    I drew myself... that's my high school uniform. Well, actually, everyone except for seniors had to wear white shirts and white socks. Seniors get to have color. Yay.

    This was one of the first things I ever drew (and finished) with my tablet... and yes, I know, the proportions suck. But I still like this for some reason... memories??

    EDIT: Okay it's too big to post here... you can see it here:

    I was up until 7:00 AM working on a project for art, so after class I came back and took a nap, something I haven't done in a long time.

    I dreamed that everyone on khv was yelling at me because I like waffles and not pancakes, and then everyone said that I wasn't worthy of being a part of this site and came after me.

    ........I'm concerned for my sanity.

    GET OUT OF MY HEAD YOU GUYS!!!

    AND WAFFLES RULE!!! >_<

    Okay, I dunno if this should go in tech support or here, so please move it if it's in the wrong section.

    Anyways, tummer has informed me that he can't sign on, and has asked me to post a thread asking people if they know what's wrong. Soo yeah, does anyone know what he should do?

    And no, he hasn't been banned. That's not the problem.

    Any ideas?

    So I was in class today and I get this text message from my school about a security alert. It said to watch out for a "Suspicious Person" in front of the science building. So of course, the first thing I think of is all the school shootings, and my first reaction is panic. Then I keep reading:

    "The Suspicious Person is wearing all black and carrying a samurai sword."

    .....O_O

    It was later confirmed by the police that the sword was in fact not a sword; the person in question was merely a Naruto fan who likes to dress up in cosplay at school.
