I gotta travel 1 hour+ to get to a store that sells original copies here, and even then the price is absurd unless the game's old as hell, so I just buy online from game.co.uk since for some reason they don't get taxed to hell and back like everything else. The bad part is that doesn't work for 3DS since mine's US, so I can't buy 3DS games easily, the only one I bought so far was KH3D in fact.

Heartless are made out of the darkness in your heart(Purebloods) or Hearts enveloped by said darkness(Emblems), it doesn't matter how many are there or how they came to be heartless, the result's strength is determined by how muh darkness he had. Sora had almost no darkness, so he became a lowly Shadow, Ansem had Spoiler Terra's + MX's darkness, which was so much he retained his human form(Curiously so did Scar, but nobody seems to remember he became a Heartless), they don't necessarily start off weak. So you're right that the other organization 13 members could be just Shadows or even Darksides. But special nobodies aren't what they are because they gave up their hearts willingly, it was because the strength of their heart was high. Also, just to clarify, Heartless grow by consuming Hearts from people and incorporating their darkness into themselves, or feeding on free hearts released from a Emblem slayed by a Keyblade. The problem is the hearts released always went to Xemnas's Kingdom Hearts, so they didn't get the hance to consume them, until the very end where it blows up, then they start doing so and Maleficent and Pete stop the flood and yadda yadda. In Re:coded there was no artificial KH attracting hearts, so Sora's Heartless went to consume everything Data Sora slayed, though they weren't real hearts, just fellings and bugs, since hearts can't be codified into data, so it was like he was eating something that couldn't end it's hunger even though it made him stronger just as it would in the normal world, so he kept growing stronger and more desperate the more it ate and all.
Just hope they show more about the digivolution and gameplay aspects soon, it seems like it's gonna be a lot like those DS games.

It actually probably was. Young Xehanort is the only one who can travel between the Dream worlds, which is why whenever Xemnas and Ansem SoD appear he's also there, so, that was probably just him with some sort of magic.
When 13-2 came a lot of people complained about no Hope/Snow/Sazh/Lightning/Vanille/Fang playable and about being stuck with Serah and Noel only, that's what I meant. Granted, the DLC kind of fixed that, even though it wasn't all of them and locked each in a role. Guess it's just because of the style of the game, it being more like Crisis Core and all, but I wish it would follow Versus/Type-0 and have multiple characters you can switch between, while the others help you while being controlled by the AI.
Only Lightning playable. Oh God. Did all the "MOAR HUMAN CHARACTERS ON PARTY" not give them a clue? The new battle system does seem interessing though.
