Also, especially concerning fanart, like those on pixiv, those are drawings of copyrighted characters. Yes, the person may have drawn them in their style or whatever, but they didn't create the character. Which just opens up copyright claims from those who do own the characters.

People are really good at wearing masks. And having several of them. You probably only saw one side of her. I know it's hard because you say you still have feelings for her, but I think that's just another reason to cut her off entirely. If she comes back because she wants attention, she knows she can get it from you, so she will, you have to have your defenses up. And what better defense than for her not to be able to contact you. Take some time for yourself. Stay away from her. Invest in something to take your mind off it.

for what is

It seems like it is for some people. I know a good many cosplay photographers, my boyfriend is a photographer himself, and they will generally use some sort of watermark on their work. That still doesn't stop people from just cutting their logo right off. I actually had a friend make a post about this other day. He put his watermark right in the center of the photo and made it huge. Spoiler: watermark "Absurd Watermark Logo? Yup. This was meant as a joke. I've noticed many other photographers who do this for real. I think it ruins photos. If you are afraid people will steal your photos to the point of having to block most of the photo, just don't upload your photos to the internet." The internet is a great thing, but makes art theft way too easy. And if you put your stuff online you have to realize that. It's a risk. The person just has to decide if the risk is worth it.
