And this is coming from a PC Gamer I hate how games become viewed as a bulk commodity arguments about games tend to boil down to "You can get like 30 games for 5 bucks on Steam" and apparently wanting a specific games, like Final Fantasy, or whatever isn't valid because you can get SO MANY GAMES on the PC It bugs me the way that devalues games as a whole. Screw having games you LIKE, you can have a bunch of random games and they'll run at 1080p 60 FPS!
I just checked in on my gameplay channel to find that my uplaod of the Final Fantasy X HD rendition of the Eternal Calm had been content ID matched. This isn't rare or new, but what WAS new is who claimed it. See, it wasn't Square Enix it was some rap album https://itunes.apple.com/album/its-over/id433442470?i=433442718&ign-mpt=uo=5 They claim I'm using the final song there "It's Over" Which is FFX's "Fleeting Dream" with extra drums and rap lyrics god dammit youtube
this is actually great
I found out I have no idea how to review horror games
https://twitter.com/brutalmoose/status/445702151717675009 Just... gah Reminds me of how stupid and backwards the world we live in it
Randomly reminded that this exists. I think it's one of our better videos
Game seriously could use some thrills
I'm not sure, but I was at a loss for what to say about this game. It caused a five day writer's block for me. So I'm kinda curious what other people think of the game
What happened Bravely Default You were so good for so long. Then the gameplay got terrible, the story got stupid, and the game just became and overall disrespect for my time. I've never seen a game do a U turn like this. Halfway through the game, the balance goes down the toilet, and you're made to redo plot points... plot points that introduce plot holes that would never have been there if they weren't so lazy as to reuse the half of the same dialog (or sometimes just repeat it wholesale) and this wouldn't even be THAT bad if they didn't make you do it so many times. The plot twist becomes insanely obvious, yet you're forced to watch the characters meander through it all the same, what's more, this could have been averted if one of the many characters who knew what was going on had just explained themselves, rather than randomly trying to kill everyone But seriously, the balance. Oh man. As the game progresses, you're suddenly presented with a wide variety of generic enemies all capable of casting instant death moves. Sometimes on the entire party. It wasn't long before I jsut turned off random encounters, because the rewards weren't very good and the risk was insane. Meanwhile, the bosses they had me refight were cakewalks that only got easier as the game showered me with powerful equipment and my jobs leveled up. What's worse is that the setups required for bosses get increasingly weird and specific, severely limiting your freedom to fight how you want, in a Job system that is already more limited than the one from FF5 There are no new dungeons to explore after Chapter 4, but they have you go through those same dungeons multiple times anyways This is one of the ugliest attempts to overstep ones limits I've ever seen. One of the cheapest, laziest excuses of game lengthening I've had the displeasure of playing. Currently I got the 'bad' ending, and I'm gonna start slogging my way towards the true end now, which promises to have at least a little bit of new content. But man, talk about a complete reversal, the start of the game is so solid
For the past while now, we've been experiencing a torrent of great movies and TV shows, after a really extended period of somewhat decent but mostly horrible stuff Like, it feels like every month there's a new show or movie that people are hyping as one of the all time great things that will be remembered when we grow old, and they're pretty much always RIGHT It's crazy And like, even continuations of franchises that people didn't really like, or people were getting sick of seem to be taking a turn for the better We're in some sort of crazy light age or renaissance, or something (also we have this blossoming youtube entertainment network, too... seems like this is jsut a good era for entertainment overall... unless your video games)
Really liked it But I dunno, did anybody else feel like it was too short? It felt like everything happened too fast, there was no real time to let the ramifications set in. There's not much sense of scale, either. Like the entire crisis begins and is averted is about 24 hours, and it makes the pacing weird. Like Elsa escapes the people and sings a song about how she's free. We segue over to Anna going after her, adn the next scene involving her is her singing about how she's not free. Then Anna leaves, and the next scene with Elsa is her being taken back, then the rush for the ending, and that's that. I honestly feel the comedy was a lot stronger of a point with this, since the fast pace served that a lot better. It humanized the sisters a lot (It's nice seeing female characters where the writers aren't afraid to make them silly or make them the only sane one) and I was surprised by how well Olaf turned out. Also liked the cute jabs at older Disney stuff. But yeah, overall solid without any major flaws from what I could see, but I think it could have used some more breathing room. I saw in the deleted scenes that originally they considered having Anna look for Else 6 months after the fact, which would have let the ramifications of the situation set in a lot better (I mean, how does Anna even know they have a permanent winter after less than ONE day?)
Were those worlds in that poll worlds they're considering for KH3? I think they were And I think voting for Timeless River was a smart choice
Applying a timescale to this sort of thing at all is just bizarre, honestly. Really goes to show that cartoony stuff like KH shouldn't have a time scale applied to it Like, how many days did he spent just flying the Gummi Ship?
WHAT was going on with Pluto at the end of KH1 and beginning of CoM? Of all the mnay MANY plot details KH spin offs have filled out for us We still don't know why Pluto was in the Land of Departure, why he led Sora to Castle Oblivion, or what was on that letter from Mickey If the writers had wanted they could have tied it up a little bit smoothly by saying Mickey knew about Ventus or something, but recent games make that impossible
I swear, something to this effect is used so often in the HD 358/2 Days cutscenes you could easily changed the description of 358/2 Days' plot to "Roxas does missions, while something interesting happens somewhere else"
Bunch of cutscenes have been showing up in my recommendations ;_;
Replaying KH1 since I lost my 1.5 save file and I want to fight Xemnas, and I just randomly thought of something. Riku and Sora have a race to determine who will name the raft, which in turn derermines the name of the Gummi Ship. In KH2, the standard style of Gummi Ship is called The Highwind, Riku's choice. So canonically, does this mean Riku beat Sora? It's weird, since pretty much every other part of KH2 (And Days) assumes Sora succeeds, with the possible exception of Sephiroth
It worked that time when some people whined about Amaury. Bend to my will, all of you, I'm mildly annoyed
