I was putting some bacon on the hob for my lunch and the sleeve of my dressing gown caught on fire. I had a mini heart attack but it quickly went out. Sadly, now the sleeve smells like burn and it's giving me a headache >.< So Enzy, why don't you take it off? Because it's cold! And have you seen how awesome my dressing gown is! I have been thinking about this recently because I am in the process of writing my personal statement to reapply to university. I'm going for psychology and need to relate everything I put in my PS to psychology including why I play the guitar. It's also just interesting to see the psychology behind music, why we listen and why we play it- some say it's a way to connect with the soul, others say it's a form of expression. I see it, like Sherlock Holmes plays the violin, as a way of distancing myself from problems to let them digest in my head while I distract myself with another activity. But why do you think humans gravitate so much toward the concept of music (both playing and listening)- is it something spiritual or just biological (like certain vibrations played together are just satisfying)?

: D This also translates as, I am going camping for 6 days and then off to visit my sister for a week! I am very excited to see my sister because it'll be a welcome holiday that I really need to get away from everything university wise. The currentl downside is I am going camping (to Soul survivor week C) to help out on the team but due to a late application I am stuck either taking care of babies all day (which I have had basically no experience with ;-;) or night stewarding meaning I'll have to stay up all night which I have never done before. I may have wifi at certain points and I may check in on my phone if I am able to (I don't want to spend my time charging my phone though). Hey everyone! Llave and I have been working on ways of trying to boost activity in the graphic art section but your input is required! We are trying our best to improve the section and the two regular competitions that are run for your benefit so if you could just spare a bit of time to fill out this short survey then we shall be most pleased (and you shall be rewarded with rainbows and glitter : D). Anything you write down is for staff use only and will not be shared with anyone. Things you need to know Fortnight tutorials This is an idea currently being toyed with, it isn't a competition but more of a community thing. It's basically someone will post a tutorial for a signature (one a KHV member posted or another that they found useful) for everyone to follow. You can then post your results in the thread and talk about it with other members to help you improve or just to learn a new technique or just for fun. Tutorials for GIMP, Photoshop, beginners and advanced people shall be posted to give everyone a chance. In the survey, the question is whether you'd partake and find it useful? Artist section This is an idea that has been played with for a while. It's basically a section in graphic art to post and discuss other people's work (art that is not your own from other artists like ones that inspire you). The main concern would be whether you'd actually use it. Other Please be as detailed as possible, if you don't frequent the graphic art section then you can still give your thoughts as any and all thoughts are welcome! You are all members of course. Also, don't be afraid to speak your mind but don't flame or be outright rude. This will remain open for you to do until 30th September for you to get your thoughts in. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions of things you are unsure about it this thread and we'll try and answer them as quickly as possible. I know right, who cares? : D Oh well, so it's A- level results day today (I don't know if anyone else got theirs today?) but I came out with AAAB (B in biology) which did mean that my results weren't good enough for Cardiff to give me an offer for medicine. This does mean that I shall be having a gap year filled with fulfilling life fulfillments (which includes work and medical work experience and the joys of reapplying). This makes no difference to any of you as I'd be here regardless of whether I was at University or not but I thought I'd give you the update anyway. Yes, I shall be having a GAP YAHH!

Tomorrow I finish my exams. Tomorrow I get my life back, I get free time! So, I thought I would fill it with something because I look forward to the times when I can play a game until like 4am, sleep for 10 hours, get up and carry on playing it. However, I may just play Skyrim because I have yet to finish ANY OF IT! Of course, if I get bored or want something new then I was going to try out one of these games and they were quite cheap when I went into GAME today. So, a question- which series would you recommend? (Also for mass effect, which one is the best?) /inb4Cathighfivesherself
