(Although Disney XD still had its new episodes on Wednesday, July 8.) You stated it didn't make sense for them to air new episodes as most people would be spending the weekend with their family or whatever celebrating Independence Day.

So now I have a question for you: Veterans Day was Wednesday, November 11, but Nickelodeon and Disney XD still aired new episodes then: The Thundermans, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, Bella and the Bulldogs (N), and Kirby Buckets (DXD). So how do you explain that?

Disney XD is even still airing new episodes this Wednesday, November 25 (Kirby Buckets, Gamer's Guide to Pretty Much Everything) and Nickelodeon also has a new and special Nicky, Dicky, Ricky & Dawn this Wednesday.

Either the Fourth of July is different or your explanation was slightly inaccurate?

I have no idea what these shows are, so some stuff I might say might not apply.

Veteren's Day isn't observed the same way that that Independence Day is. For one thing, Veteren's Day is more during the school year, some kids get the day off, and isn't as big of a family holiday like Independence Day is.

And Thanksgivijg has always been a weird one; usually, new stuff premieres, but I usually find that they are the pseudo Christmas specials. Wednesday is the one day this week you can guarantee kids will be off from school, and they may want to capitalize I that.

Again, it's just speculation. I'm not an insider of how things work, so take it with a grain of salt. And the reasons I say kids a lot is because that is their target demographic.

Yeah, Nickelodeon's new episodes of Henry Danger and Game Shakers are Christmas episodes next Saturday the 28th and then a break until after New Year's as usual.

Disney XD has Christmas episodes Wednesday, December 2 and Disney Channel has Christmas episodes Friday, December 4 and Sunday, December 6. Afterward, they follow the same pattern as Nick.

New episodes will resume the second week of January, at least with Girl Meets World (January 8, 2016) as that's all I saw for now.

And in a way, that makes sense. It's good to premiere your Christmas episodes early, so most people get a chance to see them, and it's something that they can add to their rotation as the holiday nears. People travel all the time for the holidays, so not a lot of TV watching happens.

And I can only speak from my own personal experience, but I don't necessarily remember watching TV at all during Christmas. The routine is open presents, play with presents, then go visit the rest of my family, dinner, and not much else. People are so busy around this time of year that most people would probably miss something new.

They do the same thing with Halloween episodes, though not as early.

Also, it seems some channels will make exceptions with some shows. Degrassi on TeenNick, for example. Look at the air dates for the first block of season 14, when Degrassi had a new episode every Tuesday at 6:00 PM (PST)/9:00 PM (EST): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_...tion_episodes#Season_14_.282014.E2.80.9315.29

And if you look at the air dates in general, it never really had weeks without a new episode. Only time it would go on a break was after a block ended

Oh, and when a season ended as well, of course.
