I'll be honest..it's sort of lazily done all in all it's enjoyable but the online battle system is broken so is the splitscreen all in all a 6/10 worth a go but overall needs a lot of improvement but for the first full 3d jump game it's good.
That's one of the first negative reviews I've heard. All games have their bugs at first, I assume a patch is coming to maybe fix some issues regarding online.
As a whole it's good but the actual battle system isn't made for multiplayer gameplay which I believe most of people outside of japan got it for. I've only been able to get the gist of what the story is about really for a storyline gameplay it's good I love it but online it's really one-sided especially Luffy, Luffy is way too broken to even be rivaled by any character. He's way too fast even base form and don't get me started on gear second I've blown away a lot of people using luffy but alongside that a lot of people don't know the propper controls. Online gameplay IN ITSELF is fine it doesn't even lag but the point i'm making is there is a huge room for improvement when it comes to battle mechanics within online gameplay but nothing is perfect I still don't regret buying it :C
I'm not sure what you were saying, the battle system is amazing in my opinion. I mean sure, the inviolability frames might be a tad screwy but I don't know any fighting game that isn't. As for lag, I've done a few ranked matches... intense lag right there. Luffy isn't as broken as you made him out to be. If anything, Yusuke is more broken then him with rapid fire spirit gun. Think of it like Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Its not balanced, but that in itself is balance for it forces you to learn the characters weaknesses and improve on them. I feel that way for this game too. Now that I've beaten the Dynamic Arc and gotten every character, I feel ready to go onto online. Which means, we need to spar body.
However, as of now, I no longer wish to touch the game for a while. Apparently, I saved the data that had nothing on a friends PS3 and did a transfer to my PS3 losing everything. Not in the mood to go and replay the entire story so I can unlock the characters again. As you can tell, I'm really pissed off.
Damn. Honestly the combo's for luffy are broken because once you catch someone in a combo not only can luffy go from gattling gun to gear 2nd gattling gun you can do that and carry on the gattling gun before combo breaking and doing bazooka or pistol 2nd gear which turns you into haki luffy which by that time takes 75% of health especially when luffy's gear 2nd is basically sorry for this late reply to your other comment i didn't see the alert for it @_@
And that sucks :C it thing is if a save wasn't done on your ps3 system or psn it results in basically your save being locked if it's used for someone elses (the save transfer feature will only work for games that don't have online features at all an example being the first ultimate ninja storm) anyways. when you do plan to replay the story and everything I'll match you thing is right now my friends friend wanted to download it too and as psn only allows 2 activated system on a psn i let him go ahead so i can't use j-stars until he finishes but i've 100% completed the original ninja storm and i'm planning to 100% storm 3 hope you cheer up soon though :)
I guess that could make Luffy broken, but whenever I go online, I never really see him played. I see Goku played more than anything. I did Luffy's story, so that isn't happening again. Just going to go with the ninja's because Gon and Yusuke are my bros. I'll eventually get to playing the game again... but as it is now, I just need to blow off steam. At least I was able to get 2 characters from the start so I can still use Medaka online if I'm just going to avoid the story for a while.... wish there were alternative ways to getting the characters.
