Pff I can't tell if you mean that in a good way or a bad way

I mean like what settings did you change from the default? I got videos and games to show with good video quality, but the games turn choppy while the Youtube videos are perfectly smooth.

Ok, well, bad news: You may have to sacrifice video quality for consistency. try http://testmy.net and see what your results are, you're lookin' for upload speed. Then keep that tab open, open up OBS, go to Settings -> Encoding. If your Max Bitrate (kb/s) exceeds your upload speed from the test, that's probably why it's gettin' choppy. You might wanna bump it down. Otherwise, not sure what it is :x I'm already regurgitating what I learned from a tut, I don't know much about this stuff on my own haha.

I'm guessing it's the max bitrate then, lowering it made the stream somewhat watchable. Are you using the CBR setting?

DUDE CFR HELPS SO MUCH (its in the Advanced Settings for OBS)

Thought I'd share that with you. Maybe it would help your stream. I dunno.

Well, it stands for "Constant Frame Rate," and turning it on really killed off much of the lag spiking I've been having. I guess it just keeps your stream steadier?
