A mage guy with cursed eyes and a lady with unparalleled swordmanship are on a mission for their king to find relics used by the legendary heroes of legend or a dango shop will be burned down. It ends on a massive cliffhanger and there's no sign of a second season. >:X
No, not really. I guess there are similarities, but you can find similarities to D&D in every fantasy work, be it book, TV, anime, manga, or movie. i think I'm a bad synopsis-er. Anyway, it's where my new avatar and sig are from.
Eh, I suggested Fate/Zero because personally it is way better then the Stay Night anime. Though it does spoil spoiler from Stay Night (like King A. being a chick).
I really like the honour in Saber and Lancer. Even if their Masters are cowards sitting in the shadows they can still fight and be glad of the ending because they fought well and without tricks. Archer is a pretentious prick, but it's a charming pretentiousness. I'm interested in Beserker as a character, but since he was summoned mad (?) I don't think he'll have much development. Rider is childish, but he'll probably be an insanely good influence on his Master. Curious about the many Assassins.
Just you wait and see who Berserker is. Any guesses to who he is?
The many Assassins is... well, not sure if I should tell you. 1) because there is an explanation and 2) I can't recall if they explain it in the anime. ^^;
Rider is, to be honest, my favorite Servant of Zero. With Gil and Berserker tied for second.
My roommate spoiled a few things. He said that there are many Assassins because it was many people working under the same name and the Beserker is famous but that you don't see his face until really late in the anime.
Your roommate is both right and wrong about Assassin. Right about there being multiple people who used the same name, however all those Assassins you see in Zero? All technically one person.
Berserker is indeed famous. All Heroic Spirits are technically famous.
I get that. King Arthur, Glgamesh, Alexander the Great (pretty sure), Spear Dude (need to catch up on Celtic mythos clearly). Gah! It is so difficult not looking this up online...
Yeah, about 80 distinct personalities with different skill sets. This in turn about being summoned manifested as his Noble Phantasm of giving each personality their own body. Down side though each time Assassin splits off into a separate body, his already unimpressive stats are redistributed accordingly.
So, the best way to kill him is to kill all of the crap-stat Assassins, or make them join up and kill the not-crap-stat Assassin. Kind of a "fight one horse sized duck or 100 duck sized horses" deal.
Neat. I'll keep watching when I go back home. I'm at my parents house because my dentist is in this town and I have cavities. They don't like anime much...
Stereotypical "my children are wasting their life watching this crap instead of getting good jobs", which is kind of true because I really should have applied for tech school months ago. But they love my brother and me so they tolerate it. And Mom really loves Miyazaki movies.
