One night after a couple (dozen) shots, I felt super nostalgic and decided to post a thread in the Spam Zone. Then I got drawn back into the depths of hell permanently, so here I am!

im fine and dandy. i'm actually in israel now, volunteering on a kibbutz for around 5 months. i got here a few days ago. it's pretty awesome.

Life's been same-old, really. Except the studying's more intense than usual, ahah. I'm studying for the MCAT in desperate hopes that I score high enough to get into any of the med schools I'm applying to. Almost at the end of this hell though!

Yeah, I had to pay a **** ton of money that I dont have to get here. Begged a lot of people. Totally worth it. And I was away from home like 10 months after high school, volunteered in AmeriCorps, this isn't really a big deal to me. I just have to not smoke weed or do anything stupid, and it's all good. Thinking of immigrating and joining the army after the program anyways.

Holy crap, dude, that life plan is quite intense. In a good way, of course, I'm just impressed. The Israeli army? From what I hear they don't **** around. I know their special forces know that crazy krav maga martial art. I didn't know you smoke though; small world! Shame that you're done with it, but again, I admire your resolve.

I'm not sure what I wanna do, really. Cardiology and emergency medicine are my favorites, but I've been trying to figure out which specialties are at least minimally ball-busting as far as hours per week go. I love medicine, but the idea of never seeing my future family is kinda depressing, y'know?

Dude, we definitely do. I have a Skype but I'm not on it that often. Hopefully after my MCAT (July 2nd, so excited!) I can get on that, though. I'll PM you mah info, yo.

i preciate that. sorry for the late response, btw. i just hiked for 3 days in the negev. ****ing. kill. me. and im not done with it, i just need to not get caught. so, since it's my first week, im waiting to get a feel for things so i know when it's safe and when it's not.
