I have seen one episode of The Following. Came in late on the show cause of school :/ It was the episode where those two guys that liked each other went to the one guy's mom's house to hide and the other dude was dying, so he had to suffocate him. And some woman was killing these woman with the same name and tried killing Kevin Bacon with a nail gun.........lots went down....lol! If any of that made sense xD
My mom is sad that it''s ending. She said it's a really good show. I will definitely have to watch the entire season when I get the chance.
Oh, I remember that episode. It was really intense, and Jacob only gets more darker from that point. It's absolutely amazing to see his character change, although you're rooting for him to snap out of it and quit the cult.
He gets worse! :O Oh noez!
He seemed like "the innocent guy" who got caught up in the cult but really doesn't want to be there type to me.....but he gets worse! ;~~~; ahh!
Yeah, that's basically him. He was betrayed by the woman he loved, and because of that, he had to kill his best friend. So, yeah, he goes down the fallen hero path. But it is so epic!
A fallen hero is a cool theme. He sounds like an interesting character. My mom has the whole season recorded so I will most def have to check it out when I am home for the summer. :)
Ah, that's nice. I'm not sure if it's a show to marathon though. You could probably get through two episodes before you would go "okay, I need a break for a while". Still, it's very fun to watch.
They're about an hour long, but sometimes things get a bit too intense. I mean, at the later half of the season, the cliffhangers get better and better, but it also gets darker and darker.
Oh wow
Those cliffhangers! @.@
Keeps you hooked! haha! Only bad thing about having the ability to watch one episode right after the other and not having to wait a week for a new one....you keep watching and watching =P
Haha, that's true. I wasn't able to watch last night's episode though. The lightbulb on our tv burnt out, and that's the tv that has the DVR. Sad day. And, I'm pulling an all nighter tonight.
Yeah, my editor was cool with it though. And I wasn't able to pull the all nighter last night anyway. The internet died out for some reason, and i have my textbook on Kno, so I basically was unable to study last night. With all the stuff I had remembered, I feel I did alright on the test...I hope I just have enough to pass.
My goodness, I did not reply to this....I am ashamed ;~;
Gah! I'm sorry v.v
Have you received your grade on the test yet? :O
Things have been so hectic here recently. I think my midterms fried my brain this quarter. Pulled two all-nighters this week @.@ My biological clock is so messed up now, I don't think my body really knows when I am really tired anymore xD
How are your classes going? Any overwhelming work loads yet?
I would say that I'm far beyond overwhelmed at this point, haha. I'm not doing good with Economics; I hope to just barely pass that class. Everything else is fine. And I finally did get to see the last two episodes of The Following! I'm not quite sure how I feel about how it ended...
Oh noez! @.@ Beyond overwhelmed sounds dreadful.
I never had to take economics, but I heard that it's pretty hard. :/ You can do it though! I wish you the best for the rest of your semester in that class.
Coolness!! Did it have one of those "possible continuation but not going to continue" endings? haha
I have been pretty busy lately with midterms....finally finished two of them and one more to go. However, aside from the work I am just wonderful haha.
Thanks! And yourself?
Yeah, like I said, I just hope to pass. Not exactly. It was left on a pretty cool cliff hanger. but one of the ways a character dies isn't exactly how i would think plays well with their characters. and yeah, they knew they would be getting a second season. XD
Ehh, stressful, but fun. Besides Econ, all my other classes are pretty tolerable. XD
Yeah; hopefully they find a way to make it work. Without some of the characters, it seems like it'll be rough for them to pull it off or for there to be a reason for a second season, but hopefully they can pull it off. I think they'll come out with it some time next year.
Yeah, film class is always fun. I got an A on my American Beauty/Garden State test. My next test is next week for Pay It Forward and The Others. Thankfully, I've got my hands on both movies with plenty of time to study them. XD
Yeah. There were some that I was genuinely upset about. Like, I was swearing at the television, telling myself I didn't see that happening. And yeah, the writing is pretty solid, so I'm sure they have some kind of plan for the second season.
Oh my! o.o My mom kind of spoiled it for me by accident today about one of the characters who died in the end....though I kind of feel that he isn't really dead since he was just stabbed. (The main dude....You know who I am talking about xD don't want to spoil it if anyone sees this) Thus a second season could take place from that.
You can do it!! Haha!
I am good. Actually had a free day today so I relaxed for the first time in 7 weeks! Ah! Was so nice......:3
But now it's over and it is back to work ;~; Nuuuu
Ah, yeah, I was wondering who you were talking about. Yeah, it's a nice cliffhanger for the end, but of course, the show can't go on without him. I wonder what the second season does at well. They did hint at small things, but you never know.
It's good to hear you're doing good. Can't wait for the beginning of June to get done with my stuff.
I'm doing okay. I should have spent today studying, but instead I went to see Iron Man 3. It was so epic!
Definitely not. When she told he was killed off, I was like "whaaa....but he is the main dude! no wai!" lol
:D Nice to hear you are doing well too! Summer is around the corner. Thank goodness.
Iron Man 3......that movie was so awesome!! I went to see it Friday....so much epicness in one movie! Was even better than my expectations and they were quite high to begin with xD
Yeah; and one thing I learn from watching TV/movies, just because you got stabbed doesn't mean you die. It simply means that you're hurt. Haha
Yeah, hopefully. Still a long way to go though when I think about it.
Yes, it was very epic. I loved every second of it. I'm sure it had some flaws about it, but they were so small that I didn't even really notice them. It was really interesting that the film was really about Tony and Pepper's relationship with each other. And how Pepper was Tony's savior both in action and in spirit. Also, the actions scenes are very well done; like, I hadn't seen anything like that before. It was so beautifully done.
And I love how the trailers basically liked to you. Like, there's one important line in the trailer that isn't even in the film simply for the sake of mis-direction. haha.
It really was! I couldn't speak afterward. Couldn't find the right words to describe how great a movie it was haha. I really liked how they displayed their relationship. Not really through words but their actions. Perfect! The action scenes were amazing! Also they included a lot of humor and it wasn't overly done. I really liked Harley and Tony's relationship too...they were hilarious together. Loved it.
xD I actually only saw one trailer of Iron Man 3 and I only saw that once. lol :O
Yep. Even when it looks like someone's dead, I don't really believe it. The Dark Knight taught me to expect anything.
Yeah, it was really great. I really loved the after-credits stinger too. It helped have the narration of the movie make sense. XD Yeah; their relationship was a great example of show, don't tell. I thought it was the right amount of humor too, but I know there are some who feel it was overdone. Even though humor is what Tony uses as a defense mechanism. He even does it with Harley, who really did add a lot to Tony's growth.
Ahh, I see. I think it was the newest trailer that had some stuff that was probably added to throw people off. Haha.
Haha The Dark Knight.....oh yes.....I see where you are coming from there xD
I loved the part after the credits! Too funny. And he wasn't even paying attention....tsk tsk....lol. Tony's humor makes him. Yeah Harley really helped him grow in the movie. Tony was pretty mean to him, but in a "silly" way....that pick on him deal haha. Almost a father/son thing went on, and I liked that.
Oh...well then xD. I will have to check out the new trailer just to see it =P
Mmhmm; I've always learned to keep on my toes for that stuff.
Yep, it had me laughing at that end part. I was even thinking throughout the film "dude, where's the bro you totally took with you in your car into the sunset at the end of Avengers". Yeah; Tony was pretty mean, but I think he knew that the could would be able to take it. Like that one line "You know how I know. Because we're connect *drives the hell out*" It had me cracking up, but at the same time going, wait, that's kind of messed up.
Yeah, it's worth seeing. And the movie also made me have to search for that song that they played at the beginning of the movie because I completely forgot it existed.
Lol! I know right!! I kept thinking the entire movie about the Avengers ending. "Didn't they ride off together? Where did he go off to...what is this..." xD
That entire scene where he leaves Harley and drives off was hilarious.
"And now you're going to leave me here, like my dad?"
"Yep. Wait....you're guilt tripping me aren't you?
"I'm cold!"
"I can tell. You know how I can tell? Because we're connected."
"Eh...it was worth a shot."
OH! LOVE IT! lol!
It was messed up but too funny not to laugh at it. My goodness........
Yeah, they were able to tie everything back into the Avengers quite cleanly, although it would have been nice to see a bit more cameos.
Yeah, I keep laughing at those scenes in my head. Even when Harley says that his dad left his family years ago, I started laughing, but that one actually quite hurt a bit. And there were times where I thought Tony was just going to hit the kid.
Yeah; the song will forever be stuck in my head, just like it was in my childhood. Gonna have to find it on itunes (they'd probably have it on the Iron Man 3 soundtrack).
They really did a great job with that. And with Tony's panic attacks from the events that occurred were a nice tie to it. A few more cameos would have been pretty cool, however, the ending wouldn't have been as exciting xD
There were a few moments here and there where I could have seen Tony doing that to Harley lol. His sister's watch...mhm mhm haha!
I wouldn't doubt that it's on the soundtrack. Probably that album only bonus =D
Yeah; I think the PTSD really did work with Stark, although I've heard complaints otherwise. I mean, c'mon, he was ready to just sacrifice himself for everyone else, very much in real danger; he should be going through a lot of stress. Yeah; at least something from Nick Fury would have been nice, but he's not appearing until Captain America: Winter Solider I think.
Yep; it's good how well the relationship was developed. And the watch was epic. It wasn't only a good gag, but the way they used it only added to the joke.
Yeah, maybe. I'll need to get an itunes card soon just to buy the soundtrack.
People complain too much haha. It went well with him. He is a bad a** all the time so why not give him something that brings him to his knees for a moment. He was, as you said, willing to sacrifice himself for everyone, and that's a pretty tough decision to make. Being that he decided to go with it and still survive in the end would definitely be a major eye opener to a person. So even the coolest of people can have a weakness or have something to worry about.
Their relationship was just great....the parts of the movie with them are very memorable.
I am going to have to purchase it as well. The Iron Man music is great! Nice to listen to when I am working on projects and stuff. Motive! xD
Haha, yep, I get like this when I talk about movies. Just get too excited and discuss every detail I can. Haha
Yeah; it gave him a bit of humanity that was easy for the audience to latch onto at the beginning of the film. He is no longer the same Tony Stark we started with in the first Iron Man. His way of facing things, the mask of humor, is stronger than ever since he now realizes how human he really is.
And Harley seemed to be Iron Man's Robin, especially at the end. The entire ending after the final battle just reminded me of TDNR ending beat for beat. I can say that Iron Man 3 pulled it off way better though.
xD Well I don't mind at all! Love talking movies :3
I have to admit, I really didn't much like Tony Stark when I first saw him in Iron Man. =/ But I have grown to like him. I definitely see the change in him from the first movie. I like the new Stark! haha
He did! Ah!! It does make me think of TDNR....:O Oh, it definitely pulled it off better. I liked TDNR but it wasn't a movie that I would watch over and over. Iron man 3, I could watch again and again and still laugh and think it was epic.
Saw the new Star Trek.......<3 Was awesome!!!
Yeah, and it's good to see the transformation of Tony Stark through the years. I always seemed to like that arrogance about him for some reason or another.
Yeah, when I was watching the ending, all I could picture was Marvel flipping off DC. I really did like TDKR as well, and watch it multiple times, but that ending just felt weird to me. Although, I like to start debates on whether Bruce Wayne is really dead or not.
Oh really? I've heard good things about it.
Haha, his arrogance makes Tony Stark. =P
I have mixed feelz about the ending of TDKR. I like it but I kind of felt that something was a little off?? I guess haha. Still a great movie though!
Yes!!! I highly recommend! I hadn't seen the first one until recently. I definitely wanted to see one before two, so a week before the second release I watched it xD. Being a new Star Trek fan, I really really liked the new movie. The actors are great and the visuals are stunning. Also, the plot line is fantastic.
Yep; he's basically what makes him the character and no one else.
I really liked it, probably because I thought Bane was really interesting. Although, there seems to be a lot of similarities between the villains in the Nolan universe.
Okay; I'll try and look for the first one. I kind of do want to see it, just out of curiosity, but haven't been able to have the opportunity
How are you?.
Yeah; a lot of the voices of many of the Batman characters help make them give them more of a lasting impression in the Nolan Universe. Bane had this booming voice where it demands power of for people to listen to what he has to say.
I'm doing good too. Just got on summer vacations, which I feel I earned after such a rough semester. I've been trying to relax for the past few days and catch up on my anime viewing. There are a lot of series I've been meaning to look at or catch up on that I now have the time to devote to. Haha
Yeah! His voice definitely fits him. It's one of those "he looks like he would sound like that" type of thing haha. Just great!
xD I know what you mean. I have a few that I have been wanting to check out since the quarter began but never got the chance to @.@ work work work!
Anything planned this summer? Vacas? =P
Mmhmm, Tom Hardy brought a lot to the role. And his next project? Well, if the rumors are correct, he'll be playing Elton John...in a bio pic. I don't quite see that.
Not big plans. Just planning on catching up with my writing. And watching a lot of anime that I haven't had time to see. The joys of marathoning. Have you seen Puella Magi Madoka Magica?
Yeah. For a long time, Timberlake was the most likely choice (which I could see), but John and his people said that they wanted Hardy for the role. From that, it seems like it's just a vanity project for Elton John.
I really do recommend it. It's probably one of my favorite stories of all time, not just anime, but story in general. I don't watch magical girl anime really, but this is so much more than that. I'm actually planning on writing some kind of deconstruction of the anime because it's so powerful (and I'm nerdy as hell).
Sorry for this terribly late reply! Went on vacation for a week and my new job has taken away most of my free time v.v -cries in corner- gahh!
Timberlake wouldn't be too bad for that part. Yeah, I just can't see Hardy playing him.....goodness. @.@ haha
Wowz! I will have to check it out! I have heard good things about it, but it just hadn't caught my interest. It seems that I should give it a chance. xD (being nerdy as hell and admitting it is far cooler than not being one =P)
It's cool, I understand. Everyone has lives. I haven't been too busy myself though
Mmhmm, he defiantly wouldn't fit well in my opinion. He's a better actor than many give him credit for, and since it is a musical-style movie, it only seems to make more sense for him to do it over Hardy. It'll be hard for him to shake that Bane image for this project though.
Yeah; when I first watched it, I wasn't too motivated to watch it except for the hype. It is something that is worth looking at just like how other people would say that everyone must watch Neon Genesis Evangellion at least once (even though I don't care too much for how it ended).
Bane is one of those characters that stick to the actor. Haha....Bane in a musical-style movie.....oh...oh my...lol
Ah! Then I will add it to my must watch list haha =) Knowing me, it will end up being one of my favs. I didn't think I would like Soul Eater very much (for shame on me....how dare I lol) but now, it's definitely a favorite. Couldn't stop watching it after the first episode.
It's alright I guess. Family giving me a rough time, but there's not a lot I can complain about.
Mmhmm; not a lot of people care for TDKR, but you can't help but think of all the cool parts with Bane when you bring up that film. A lot of the best parts seemed to just involve him. Like when he read Gordon's confession letter.
Yeah. Again, you just have to give it a chance. And yeah, I remember when I first watched Soul Eater. It was actually at a convention. Actually, it was a special panel for Soul Eater that was hosted by Monica Rial (voices Tsubaki).
aww =/ sorry to hear that. Hope it gets better for you =)
Honestly, Bane is the first person I think of when I hear TDKR haha. Then I hear that voice in my head @.@
Gordon's confession letter...yes!
They showed an episode of Soul Eater at a panel with Tsubaki's voice actor! =O That's awesome! That would have been the best intro to an anime ever! lol
