How have you been as of late?

Pretty busy, but I'm surviving.

I'm alright. Going back to work on Monday. So for now I'm relaxing, listening to the soundtrack of Spec Ops: The Line.
Also, I need to figure out what is considered "too dark" for a character death in the CC.

Kay. So would having a character being eaten alive from the inside out in detail be considered too dark?

It depends how much graphic detail you went into according to the official rules of the RP section.
It's like how you're allowed to hint at sexual stuff depending on the RP, but not go into detail about it. It's similar.

I'd say it's certainly alright for you to have such a death, just don't go super nightmarish on the details.
Besides, as an experienced writer, I've often found that leaving more to the imagination is a great technique anyway.

Hmm... well. I don't see why it couldn't be done. Just use your own judgement and common sense here.
If you're too worried about a certain part being too much, then it probably is. Otherwise yeah.

Planning ahead is pretty good. Of course, it's nice to also leave room for improv.
I usually aim to make room for both.

I couldn't agree more. For example, remember how a while back I had an idea for an arc in the CC? Well since that time I've improved upon it. Revised it and now it's pretty much a different plot. One I am very proud of. Granted it won't happen for a long time (we need to finish DT's arc and whoever comes next's) but hey, that just gives me more time to work on it.
