One of the strange things about living in the world is that it is only now and then one is quite sure one is going to live forever and ever. Nov 20, 2014

Do not worry my dear,I was not nosy enough to read your conversations and the like.

    3. What?
      What?
Goodness that video reminds me that I need to actually finish reading Les Miserables.

For a Victor Hugo novel (who is namely the more mature, French version of Charles Dickens in quantity) it is surprisingly easy to get through I must say!

Rather long however. 1200 pages or so.

Oh, of course not. It's rare that I do that. The only time I did that was during my debate session, in order to manipulate my audience.

For the most part, you actually want to look that the center of their forehead. This create the illusion that your looking at their eyes, and it prevents you from going into that frozen stare cycle.

The stuttering is something I never had a problem with, but I ever was stuck, I would pause and take a deep breath, then with my thoughts collected, I would continue my speech.

My, I must say you are quite on the nail with that accusation. Indeed I do love to speak in front of a crowd, and maybe excel isn't the right word for me, but I've done a decent job in previous classes. As for me being loud, there are two forms. The physical form of it, where I have to control my volume because I do tend to speak loudly without my realization. Then there is the metaphorically speaking, where being loud means to freely express one's thoughts in public. I also do this, and I have gotten in trouble for it.

Perhaps "suck" isn't the right word for you, but I sense there is a form of uncomfortably with it for you?

It is quite alright. I have a habit of slipping messages to people without detection. Well, atm it is college work. I'm taking a U.S. History, Public speaking, Comp, and Psychology. Not very exciting to many, but it is quite a joy for me.

I'll be sure to read up on it when my work is finished.

Ha ha!!!! My innocence was taken from me long before. But it is always fascinating to learn new things.

Oh, and I do hope you have had a good day.

      xD You're fun.

Yes, we're in it all alone. Two-man army. Or, one-effeminate-man, one-small-girl army. Against ALL THE MEXICANS. Like the Alamo on steroids, or like Scarface in reverse or something. I dunno, I didn't actually see that movie. I just said hello to his leedle frand. I prefer that line the way the villain in Demolition Man says it. Off on a tangent. Cutting it off. Change the channel. Boop.

I wouldn't worry too much about sounding like a foreigner unless you're in a culture that is like uber-nasty to foreigners! I think it depends on the person, really. Some people would be flattered or impressed that you're trying so hard, but others might get offended or think you're trying to pretend to be one of them. Just do your best and take what comes, I guess. :v

It's... interesting. German speech, if not the language itself, it very nuanced, and makes more intricate use of the mouth. Their 'R' sound is... kind of like an 'L,' but not quite. You sort of back your tongue up against the bottom of your mouth? It almost sounds like you're going "uehh." I dunno, hard to describe, and even harder to get it down pat. Sometimes it just sounds like you're gagging on all your 'R' sounds xD

Also, only slightly related: A few of the umlaut vowels (the two dots over normal vowels) involve the lips. Most Americans don't pick up on that, hence why they sound funny. The "ö" sound is not just "oo" as in "pool;" you have to purse your lips a bit to make it 100% accurate. I might not have passed that class but I retained what I did learn :L

I don't have a hangover xD I told you, I don't drink. That probably won't change any time soon, even if I joke about the fruity drinks. They're pretty damn risky.

Well that other person is too emotional.

And that was sweet of you to consider being polite with me.

Why would this end up too personal? I'm fine.

      And yes, I noticed. I don't mind.

Yes, but I always end up not talking to them.

As a matter-of-fact, this conversation I've had with you is the longest ongoing one I've had in a long time.

      No, not really.

I'm actually very quiet off this forum.

      Erm... not really.

But I can see why you'd assume that.

      You have a point.

We could talk about each other's lives, I guess.

      fffffffffff. Jesus.

Spanish I was never interested in to begin with, German I took during a bad semester and ended up giving it up. And yeah, I can't roll my R's either, it's infuriating. But I can do the funny thing Germans do with their R's, so. :L
