Yes, I am aware of the negativity towards this... thing. Admittedly, when I first saw it, I was like: "Dafuq were they thinking?!" Ponies as humans in Doug's world? Gimme a break! And a high school setting? NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! But anyway, there's been some leaks on youtube for this movie (recorded from a camera though, so video and audio ain't the best). And I decided to see it for myself, and, well... it wasn't that bad actually... Not gonna spoil it, but it was really well done. Catchy tunes, lots of hilarious moments (one scene reminded me a bit of Robot Chicken :p ), and a villain I consider to be the best since Queen Chrysalis. Also, Pinkie Pie did some of the best breaking of the 4th wall ever here, so Pinkie Pie fans have something to enjoy here. So, long story short, looks can be VERY deceiving.
I know its not something i'll be watching anytime soon, if at all. Hasbro to me right now is like a desperate gold digger trying to get past and overprotective mother, protecting the buried treasure mind that is her son.
I have always planned on watching EG. All the negative comments towards it only made me want to watch it that much more. Either it was going to be really good or really bad. I just don't know how people, even within the brony community, could judge something before they've witnessed it themselves. I honestly watched the trailer, one of the latest ones, and thought, "Wow, this looks absolutely fantastic!!" The plot, just from what I picked up in the trailer, looked excellent. I'll definitely give it a watch when I can and we could probably put up a review thread.
Admittedly, the first trailer threw me off (less so with the second one). But I will admit to being wrong and pleasantly surprised, as I felt it was really enjoyable, more-so than Magical Mystery Cure (which I still liked, but it left me wanting a bit more).
Billions of fans left wondering why no season four yet. Rumors, they're making a movie. I guess rumors aren't always wrong. They just forgot to mention it wasn't going to be based on any actual arcs from the series. Totally new plot, etc. I've been craving ponies so bad, I actually started watching the "Two Best Sisters Play" videos on youtube. They need to make one for Slender, lol. Hopefully EG gives me enough to make it until season four. Which, if you guys don't know, wikipedia (I'm not holding it to heart because it's wikipedia) is already saying that records show season four is already in the making.
