Oh, I never had the chicken pox. Instead I had a cousin of the chicken pox, called hand, foot, and mouth disease. I can't remember much of it but I can remember I had to wear slipers and it hurt to walk because of my feet.

I was in first grade.

I was. I didn't have glasses then either. I didn't get those until fourth grade, after I got the stick in my leg.

Oh, well. I was camping during a vacation when I was in fourth grade and I was walking in the woods. I found a log and walked on it. I slipped and got a stick in my upper left leg. I still have the scar today. I felt a pinch when it went in and looked down. I screamed when I saw it. It was horrible. My uncle came running and pulled most of the stick out. They took me to the hospital and removed the rest of the stick. About a week after I got out of the hospital a one inch peice of wood was sticking out of the wound wrapped around dead muscle. I brought the peice of wood in the next day for show and tell. That peice of wood is now in my baby book.
