Okay, this may sound offensive to some Vegas editors on KH-Vids. So if you are easily offended, then you might as well stop here.

Alright, I am an AMV creator and am friends with massively awesome AMV editors, such as my Swedish biznatch, Magnus ( Zetzu4real ). I'm always used to complex editing skills only known to the best of Adobe After Effects and Sony Vegas.
The problem is, I've been far away from KHV editing videos. I remember when the good videos were the one with blending frames and stop and turn to black editing. But now, being on YouTube for too long, I used to the effects that aren't premade, where you actually have to mess around with the animation scheme to get it right.

And now, looking through various videos on KHV, I've noticed that some of the croping, editing, and effects really ... aren't that creative or good at that.
I mean, I encourage and appreciate your effort into making your videos, they have a good feel to it, but sometimes, I feel as if it's lacking. Like, for instance, the croping and inserting images, there;s this blunt outline that goes with the character that simply ... sucks, so to speak.
And I'm always used to no borders and clean croping, so, it kind of agitated me at the moment. Then came the unoriginal stuff, which I'm not getting into.

KHV editors, your videos rock, and I'm not trying to be offensive by saying the things I did.
I'm just used to the people who actually give their life to this stuff and know more in depth detail in the system. I realize that maybe you don't have the time to get into that kind of stuff, but I'm trying to clarify that I don't want to be a jerk and am just simply ranting. xD
And if you want a clear example of nonseizureific, detailed, professional work, then here's three of my all time favorite AMV's:

Simply a thirty second battle Magnus did for a competition.
By far, the greatest AMV in my experience and the best that Magnus ever did.
Still can't get over how sad, yet romantic this AMV truly is.

Again, for editors on KHV, you guys surely rock, just saying that maybe some new effects would be revolutionary considering the limitations given with Vegas / Premiere.

Give it time. A year ago, the average video a person produced was absolute crap. So the site is still quite new to editting compared to the likes of AMV.org.

Some of the editors are getting better and giving inspiration to newer editors, unforunately it leads to people using the exact same effects and gives less originality.

Certianly agree with you, and you are right when you say that.

AMV.org people usually spend their lives learning more and more and spend drastic measures of time on their editing and their skills.
Plus, anime is usually easier to edit most of the time.

Yeah it is. I find that games are harder to use masking with among other things. For most people here it's just a hobby or pass time, same for me. I edit when I feel like it. Which is why I tend to only make videos in the summer because I have the time. If I spend more time on my editting I would be much better.
