Alright all you Americans, here be an old Canadian favourite for ye! I’ll be posting this in both the Spam Zone, and in the Recipe thread, so feel free to look at both. First thing, you need snow. Preferably that light fluffy snow that falls down in clumps. Get a good few inches of it, and make sure it’s undisturbed!!! If you walked on it, it’s useless. If you’re a germaphobe, pack the snow onto a cookie sheet first. Second, you’re going to need popsicle sticks. Lots of popsicle sticks. Next, you need maple syrup. Sweet delicious maple syrup. I suppose corn syrup will do. If you’re desperate enough to try it. Put this on a simmer on the stove and stir continually!!! If this burns, you’re going to have a hell of a time scraping it off the bottom of the pot. Cook until HOT. If you drop a bit into cold water, it should form a ball. 235F on a candy thermometer. Finally, take your maple syrup and pour it onto the snow. In a line. A long one. Wait a while, maybe thirty seconds, then roll your popsicle stick, covering one end of the stick in maple syrup. Eat quickly! This is the most delicious thing you can eat after a long hard day working or at school. Seriously. I dare you to try it.
lol, I also do that. It's not just in Canada, some of us back-woods hicks Americans do it too. When we get a lot of snow, which is often. (pics I've taken in the past few years) Spoiler Spoiler
My my, that's a lot of snow. I've seen more, but not by much. Except maybe last year. Lots of snow last year. *shudders* All that shovelling...
That is so pretty, omg. ;__; I want it to snow here this year SO BAD. But the last time there was a huge snow storm here was during my sophomore year which was...three years ago.
Haha, well, I'm lucky because my sister does most of the shoveling. She kinda likes it, I'm not sure why. She made it known to us weeks ago that she calls shoveling sidewalks this year, and I was like, go ahead, I sure won't stop you. XD Yeah, it is really pretty. I think we'll get a lot of snow this year, it's already snowed here. In fact, there's snow on the ground outside as I'm typing this.
Maple taffy <3 . I love it so much . I make a lot in the winter when it snows . Can't wait 'til it snows again X3
