Ever really liked a song, like thought it was amazing, until you saw the video?


:/ I just saw the video for one of my favourite songs, and it ruined it for me.

Ever happen to anyone else?

 

I demand specifics.

 

Yeah, it happens too much for me. I can't listen to certain openings for certain anime coz I see the video in my mind and it just makes me feel disgusted. Also stuff like Linkin Park and bands like that have videos that make me dodge some of their songs.

xD; whenever I listen to Linkin Park now, I get a rush of KH and FF images and scenes because of their overuse in AMVs @_@

 

I'd say that's because Linkin Park is over used and operated.

 

mhmmm they have become somewhat of a cliche in the AMV world @_@

 

I remember that I liked Shania Twain a lot when I was younger. And then I saw a few of her music videos. My innocent and fragile mind couldn't take it back then. Now, I sorta like some of the videos, but my music taste isn't the same anymore...​

I'm Still Here is one of my favorite songs, but the Treasure Planet music video looks like a fcking drug trip. Almost destroyed my love for the song.

I went to look for a music video for one of the endings for Naruto and it just went down hill from there. And don't even get me started with the subs.

 

It has happened to me.

I believe the song was called "Never Gonna Give You Up".

 

That's why I listen instead of watching.

Yes it's happened. That's why I always listen to the songs before I maybe watch the video. The first impression of a song is important, and believe it or not, if the vid sucks or the singer looks horrible, chances are you'll end up dislking the song ._.

I really like the song Shake it by metro station( not nesseccarily because it's an amazing song, but because it's funny) , and the vid isn't all that horrible, but I'm incrediblly annoyed by the fact that they sing about a girl that is oh so amazing her dancing and all, but still in the vid you barely get a glimpse of a girl, and you mostly only see guys dancing -.-
And the guy singing the verses are pretty unappealing. So the vid really destroys a lot of the fun with the song.
