Well back in the day, they where a group of philosophers who believed hapiness doesn't come from material things and luxury, that it is attainable by all and that once it is obtained it can't be lost, which is very different from today's cynicis who are usualy people who don't believe in human sincerity and are insensitive to the suffering of others. You are probably reading this like "lol!!11!! wtf y iz gx teachin ****" well you see this is all just leading up to a little game.

The first person who can guess who started cynicism, who started the school of cynics and how the concept got started will get a plastic egg with a prize inside. There can only be three winners since there are only three questions. GO GO GO!

Hmmm... Socrates? No, wait... a dude named "Antisthenes?" According to Wikipedia, anyways.

And, oh snap! I figured out why Kyon is named Kyon (in the Haruhi series)!

Kyon comes from the Greek word "kyon" where we get the word "cynic" from! That makes some scary sense!

You got the first two right. Socrates started the idea, Antisthenes started the school. You get extra points for using common sense and going to wikipedia.

Anyone wanna guess how socrates started the idea?

He smelled bad and asked people to admit when they didn't know something. Then he was featured in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.
