You know, some people self harm because in their mind it actually does something to relieve the stress and **** they deal with it, they do it as a form of escape.


Then there are others who do it for attention and because they think it makes them look hardcore and all angsty.

People who self harm because of a need to feel the pain and escape from life don't brag about it and shout about it, those are the people who need help, but they are overlooked because of the amount of damn kids that scratch their wrists and overuse their eyeliner in order to get attention.

Self harming isn't cool, it isn't something to brag about and talk about as though its as awesome as getting a new hair colour. Scars fade over time but they always will leave traces, when you ae older and you have children and they ask you about the scars, what will you tell them?

If you are a cutter, I ask you to please think about what you are doing, not just to yourself but to the people around you too. Self harm is not a fashion statement, it is an illness. Don't be afraid to get help, just next time you pick up the blade, or whatever you use, think how you would feel if it was someone that you cared about doing it to themselves instead.

i used to be a cutter, but my friend Jordan made me stop, when he said he would cut hisself worse than what I would <3

I kind of feel bad about the past though... Because recently I learned my sister was a 'cutter' and I shiver at the scars that go down her arm. >.<

and it makes me feel useless that she does that.
