"So what did you want to talk about?" She asked him.

 

"Oh, just to learn more about eachother so we could become better friends." he said. And maybe, someday, more than that. he thought. He pulled into the parking lot of the restaurant.

 

"Okay, then you start off, " she said opening the car door to get out.

 

"Alright." he said. "Where were you born?"

 

"I was born in Hong Kong, what about you?" She asked while walking through the front door.

 

"I was born here in America." he said, following her.

 

"I came to Canada when I was 5 and then applied to this college here, nothing too interesting about that" Lexi said before the waiter approached them

 

"That's cool, so you know Chinese then?" he asked as the waiter seated them.

 

"and Japanese, my dad is Japanese, my mom is chinese, a good mix I would say. I can speak 3 languages," she said sitting down in the chair.

 

"That's cool." he said, sitting across from her. He ordered food for himself.

 

Lexi looked through her menu, then ordered her own meal. "Anything else you want to know" she asked.

 

"I think we should take turns asking questions." he said. "I asked one, so now it's your turn."

 

"Um, do you find it awkward that your father is the headmaster of the college?" She asked him taking a sip of her water.

 

"No, not really." he said. "I mean, he doesn't really act differently weather he's being a father or being a headmaster. He's really a great guy."

 

"that's good. My father.... he's in a big corporation. He travels a lot so I don't get to see him. That's why people made up those rumors," She said looking away from Henry's eyes

 

"I see." he said. "That's sad. What corporation does he work for?"

 

"He works for Apple, one of the top head administrators." she said. She was wondering if he wanted to know where the rumors came from.

 

"Why would anyone make up those rumors about you? I mean, you don't seem like the kind of person who would do that." he asked.

 

"You have no idea the things people say when she lives in a huge house, with no parents. and likes to party. Yeah I like to party, but I don't go that far. Plus is was only one night that people remember me doing stuff, " She shrugged

 

"What happened that one night?" he asked, his curiosity getting the better of him.
