I think it is easier for -anyone- to lose friends than to make them. It is far easier to destroy something than to create something or keep bonds lasting. Also, if you get really angry and don't take the other people around you into consideration, it's pretty simple to pop off some words that may leave with them a lasting impression. I hope things get better for you and you all but yeah...it would seem to me it tends to be a lot easier to lose a friend than to make one. Also, if some people are around you and take off and are just 'fair weather' friends, those are acquaintances. I wouldn't feel so bad about them going where they will.

I have went and changed it to Wind and Water. Sorry I missed that part. =:) This game looks really awesome so far and the characters look really done up well. I'm excited to see how it takes off.

I hate to say it but I really liked the former skin we had for the page, though I am happy to see the links are working better. I can't even read the yellows or pinks people use now for font colors and well it just is way too bright for my eyes. Is there any chance you could please make two skins, keeping this one for those who like it and making the old one as a choice for users so that we can set the preference? I really have nothing in 'white' as an absolute background because it's just too bright.

Yeah they are and I really think with all the attacks on PS3 by places that support XBox so much like GT and Fox News etc, and they turn out to be lies, it's just setting the PS3 up for failure continuously. It makes me seriously annoyed that people can't see all 3 consoles are fine and these stabs to do things illegitimately and lie really needs to stop.

Yeah, it did seem not so much fun to be a Shadow when you couldn't meld into the ground or even get to attack anything or walk your way down. All you could do was waddle out and then wander a bit and hop over the side so that you would be reunited with Kairi, Goofy and Donald. I guess I see why you couldn't fight anything, because why would Heartless bother fighting Heartless...but should have been able to meld into the ground!!! It was a cool weird thing to happen though for a bit.

The CoM Manga to me was much worse than the KH one. The Nobodies were made to really look quite stupid to match how much dumber they made Sora. Some things were cute like the list of duties, but the pickle obsession, the Riku Replica ending, and Marluxia was more annoying than CoM ..as if I thought that possible. I did like some of the manga but most just seemed too stupid for me to get into. I know a lot of friends that thought it was great though, even if it was a lot different from the game. I guess with all these side additions though, I can't really consider it canon and guess I'm just too picky.

I chose Larxene. Yeah, she was a Sadist but she might have been alright if she had sided more with Axel and less with Marluxia. I really couldn't stand Marluxia or Vexen, but found Larxene, Zexion and Lexaeus to be cool in their ways.

That sucks. =:/ Hopefully there's a warranty or something so you can get it fixed. It sucks you might lose the music but if it's too bad off, it might get you a new Zune.

Age: 19
Appearance: Alish has black-blue hair and stands about 6'0 tall. His raven locks are very straight and he pulls his hair back. His skin is bronzed naturally and his eyes are a soft chocolate brown. He has a scar on his chin from a cut in sword battle, and wears black hardened leather plate mail with ringlets on it. His two swords that are not the best in the world hang from his back in an X and he has a wakazashi type blade on his hip and a knife in his boot for survival purposes. He dons black pants and boots as well that are buckled steady for his active lifestyle and have good treads for running and swift maneuvers.

Job/Class: Knight - works as an aspiring Knight.
Noble/Citizen: Citizen - though his father is a Noble somewhere and he knows of it.
District: Currently Estavel, though he has lived much of his life in Mhaura and sometimes is sent down there to get some criminals.

History:
Background: Being a Knight was an honorable thing and something Alish took with great seriousness. He had been born into poverty due to having a neglectful father who was a noble that had a child out of wedlock. The father enjoyed living his life to the fullest in Estavel though he had his dwelling in Verdest, while seemingly forgetting or not knowing he had a young male that grew up to look a lot like him, despite his hair color being a deep shade of blue black and skin that was darker to resemble his exotic mother's side. The boy grew up in Mhaura until he reached his young teens. Having been the half sibling to three others, he left home to make it on his own to let his mother lose some of the burden of having to feed them all.

For at time he roamed and attempted to avoid fighting, but it was a difficult thing to do in Mhaura and he had a bit of a tude. After getting his rear handed to him by some older teens and left in an alley, a drunk man approached him and poured whiskey over the boy's head, telling him that if he wanted to be something, he had to learn something. Alish was unsure what a silly old drunkard could instruct him in, but soon he would find out. The man took him to his shack and there, he offered the boy a chance at life, saying at one time he reminded him of himself. Taking the kid out to the cemetary, where no one really wanted to be, the man taught Alish the way of the sword and to two hand fight. He said that he used to be a Knight before times fell to corruption and that perhaps if Alish were to learn well, he could too take up such a trade and leave this place. He told him of Theranraila Eyllanlith and said it might be best to approach this person and to support his cause in Estavel.

Alish trained further and was given a job where he would help with bringing fish in off the docks. He became stronger by this hard labor and also it was to save up money in attempts to purchase clothes that would be befitting someone going to try out for the military. He had no idea if he would ever meet this person the old man wanted him to, but in the end, it did not matter such. He had given the boy a new thing to do and it would fill a gap in his existence if he could be accepted. After a good year of working for not much at all, as was the way in the area he lived, Alish was booted out by the old guy and told to go do something with his life and to stop living off of him...even though he had given him money to help pay his way. It was quite possible the old man was demented. But Alish was grateful and so took off to Estavel. He purchased new clothing that was nothing great to look at, but was a bargain in Estavel. At 17, he would enter the Vadeaunia Academy and train hard. With his strained life, he was more than prepared to do what he needed to get the job done. He also was noted to have a sound magical talent and so trained until he became a Level 3 with the use of the elements of Wind and Water. The Academy at first was going to place him in the Militia, but determined him strong enough to be with the Knights by the fact he certainly had a head start on some others. When they found him to be of Noble blood, and his father admitted to siring him, he was accepted much easier into the Knights who wanted nearly all of them to be of noble blood line. This somewhat annoyed Alish, who felt he should have been able to make such a thing on merit and skill alone, but others kept reminding him to just count his blessings for he was going to do much better off now. Turning 19 now, Alish had done the duty of a Knight, though nothing so glorious yet, for about 6 months after the long nearly 2 years of training.

Personality: Talented with the blade more than magic, and still now and then having a tude, but with the skill to back it, Alish is still yet an alright individual. He's not the friendliest guy in the city but if he does become a friend he is there till the end. He is somewhat cynical, jaded and sarcastic by nature, but never outright cruel or intentionally malicious. He sometimes gets stationed at the noble side of the city and wanders the others in search of criminals as ordered and tries to do well in his Knighthood chosen occupation. He does now and then ponder if the old Knight gave up his job for a bottle simply because he could not lie to himself anymore and say that he served a more noble purpose than others. Alish aspired in himself to see a return to the former glory and yet a better future for as it was now, things really stunk.

Demo Post: The sound of boots hitting against pavement was heard when not much else was after the early morning rain. Most people were either asleep or feigning rest to avoid being out in the rough neighborhood Alish was now treading into. He knew where to go though for the man he was seeking. He placed his hand in his pocket, rolling over a crumpled paper as he recalled what the contents said. The man he was seeking was tall, of slim build, a yellowish complexion as if he had drank way too much rum in his lifetime and made his liver want to shorten his existence dramatically. However, sadly for Albert, it was not doing the job quick enough, and the nobility wanted him arrested for a serious gambling charge.

As Alish approached a bar, voices were murmuring within, almost as though they knew something was up. He pushed open the door and it creaked as he entered. Glancing from side to side with his eyes while not moving his head, he strolled in and there was his prey. Drunk out of his mind, half-asleep in a chair that was leaning over against the wall, sat Albert, drinking the money away he had stolen possibly from some young male noble who felt he was made too inebriated himself to think clearly at the time. The law was the law though, even if Alish could care less of such trivial things. He went over and poked the man in the shoulder and after getting a look of 'huh' with glazed over eyes, he simply scooped up the man and put him over his shoulder. Others were already eying him suspiciously and he wanted no trouble. He turned and walked out with a confidence that made some mischievous sorts remain seated and he took off, back to the prison guards, turning the man in. It was jobs like this that made him wonder why he was a Knight. Where was the honor...let alone some excitement? He supposed he'd someday find out.

Nah, I would say it makes them deranged and living in a fantasy world and not getting what is truly bad or good in this life. To question beliefs or pose movies or books on it is not 'evil' of course. For others to say it is wrong would be just wrong; not evil either. Someday people are going to learn they can't force their wills down other people's throats and then one of the biggest causes of war, which is motivating people to do things out of religion versus another held belief, will be gone. It should never be an excuse in our day and age and yet it is sadly still a reason. I'm borderline tempted to call these people who see this as more evil than murder, rape, aggravated assaults, abuse etc as messed in the head and needing psychological help.

Perhaps that's too strong, but I see so many negatives that happen simply because of the power of what one group believes. Whether people want to admit it or not, Christianity still kills because of these zealots that go around passive aggressively attacking. They can't get away with 'holy wars' so much anymore and drag people from their homes and all, but they can convince children that they are evil, low lives, kick them out of their home, etc for having a different mind set or because they are gay, exploring other religions, Atheist, sick, etc. This can and does result in suicide and spree killings more than video games will ever do.

Fundamentalists are a danger and I wish more regular good Christians would rise up and tell them to stop and give them the help they actually need, but people seem too afraid to do anything but voice opinions that they are going too extreme. If someone is a nut job, he/she is and this reverence to the point that they are 'religious' doesn't make them not capable of harm. They get a slap on the wrist for their mental persuasions, assaults and their acts of destroying other people's things or chasing people out in mobs. It's disgusting to me. Other Christians are just fine but I really wish they'd open their eyes to the atrocities these others do because this sets up the young people with the wrong images of themselves and others and it takes a lot to fight the bigotry instilled so that everyone who is a naysayer of the religion is not heard to hate the people who follow it. I had to deal with fundamentalist religion enough on my own and my mother trying to force me to it. Fortunately I had the willpower to not listen to her hateful words so much. Others can't do that and I cannot say I do not bear my scars from it, or hearing other fundies say at the church table when asked 'what would you do if your child is not Christian' ...their responses were 'I'd kill the kid', 'I'd disown the kid' etc. I was 16 then and horrified and walked out after telling them to 'turn the other cheek as Jesus said to do' because that -was- horrible.

I think in the end my biggest issue with this is that these fanatical believers keep attacking Atheists and Christians too. They keep voicing 'if I don't want to watch the movie, I don't want to!' and others of us with rational minds will say 'of course you don't have to. No one is going to force you to see something you don't want to'. However, they cannot see their passive aggressive attack on other Christians to force them to 'behave' or else they have permission to treat them like crap and remove them from their social status in the circles of their places of worship and possibly to lose friends etc. So, they absolutely cannot see here that it is them causing all of the problem by declaring boycotts and saying things to make others depressed. Religion should -not- oppress people. This isn't about saying regular Christians oppress, and at this point I think sadly it IS the regular Christians being oppressed, along with everyone else, while the fanatics play the Martyr Card and try to say 'everyone hates us, boo-hoo'. That is why I think these people have some dementia going on and aren't with reality. Of course, people's reverences for religion provides an immunity to these people so that zealots can continue to do things and though laws have prevented some things, words still have a power over some and sway them to listen and I just don't think these people should be allowed that power of dominion. In the U.S. we have an astounding number of Christians and I think to see change, it's going to take them to put their foots down and say what is 'too much' with these people because every time any other group does we are suddenly believed to be hateful, evil, and these fundamentalists now toss out the term 'anti-Christian' and try to equal it with anti-semetism and act as though we all plan on tossing them in furnaces. That just is an insult to the Holocaust and it's just plain untrue.

As I said elsewhere, the biggest harm to Christianity won't be from any Atheist because you can't make someone change their minds etc. It will be from these fundamentalists that no one is doing a thing about and letting them teach our kids to be dumb, biased and unnerving. Excuse my long rant, and if I've offended the Christian folk, it wasn't my intention to. I just really am seeing a horrible lot pertaining to this and other acts fundies do, and am just perhaps a bit miffed and needed a good vent. So few others will say it, but I think quite a few people feel it even if they are afraid to voice it.

Well, at first it may only have a few of them but I'm sure it would grow and if it didn't, you could always stop it and just put the RPGs in the general area again. I'm sure if Soush had the option of having the RP moved to the creative writing rpg area he'd probably take that option in a heart beat.

Yeah, but didn't most people here say that the writing and poor grammar and the way things were done were kind of making them annoyed that there was nothing else? It would seem you could kill two birds with one stone making a section where people -could- do that and also those RPs could be easier found. Really, discretion on who joins would be up to the GM as it always is (topic maker) but the difference is just for classification of the type of RPG it is and so they can be in one place for people that would be more interested in those.

As I said, some others in the other RPGs might also like to try out something different, and if not, they'd still have their section. This would give them also an opportunity to do things because I would hope that all of them, despite how they write in the RPG section, do know how to do proper grammar and spelling for the most part. Those RPGs are meant to be fast and moving so they can do txt talk and all there, but they might sometime want to also try out the other option. I just am not seeing a reason for people to complain because as it stands, any topic maker can clear or tell someone no to joining an RPG, so that wouldn't change. It's just separating RPGs as in what is going to be slower paced and more story novel-like versus what goes on and people individually post to 20 times a day. Creative writers do like our outlets and we hardly fit into the majority of RPGs that already exist even though some of us, like me, have tried. It just goes by in a blur and is too much to keep up with.

The reason for sectioning it off is more for the style and so there will be just those types of RPGs in that sub-forum to help people peruse there and decide what kind of more creative writing RPG they'd want to be in. It's in no means meant to be offensive, but to broaden horizons and well, fit those of us who are long winded in somewhere because it looks very funny to have

That's the difference I mean. It just doesn't fit that someone takes all that time and it is lost amidst it all. The work is there for creative writing and had they written a story it would have gone in the Creative Writing thread instead. This is why the call for the sub-forum. That way it's appreciated a bit more and well, people can get down and descriptive.

Well, who is actually going to get offended? It's not about ability but about style in here and some people love the short RPGs where they can post and do their thing and others don't. It seems to me more that we are neglecting a group of RPGrs because some might whine, when really there is no need to gripe about it. Maybe we could have a vote or something? Then if people find it offensive or not we'd know, and some others even in those RPGs might like something else to do too as a change of pace.

Yes, the nation sadly appears to be becoming this religious nation. The 'God' part in the pledge of allegiance wasn't even instated until 1954 because congress, after a campaign by the Knights of Columbus,which then added the words, 'under God,' to the Pledge. The Pledge then became a public prayer as well as support of allegiance to the nation. We had been saying the Pledge of Allegiance for years prior and the ironic thing is the original creator of the Pledge left the 'God' part out and was himself a devout Christian. He almost added the word 'equality' to the pledge but because women and slaves were not considered equal, it was left out.

Not all Presidents were Christian but the mainstream lately since JFK has been and has been a defining characteristic of someone getting elected, just as much as it is seemingly important that the person be married.

We have a lot of problems with religion creeping in and what should be a personal belief is definitely working its way in nearly all political agendas anymore. Those who campaign to get rid of things of personal freedoms usually are fundamentalist religious groups to majorly include the televangelist sorts. Bush for a long while listened to Ted Haggard, who had at least 30k people in Colorado at his seminars.

I don't believe Bush intentionally 'lied' to us about WMDs etc because there was reason to suspect them with how bad Saddam was acting and what ploys they were doing on the MZ lines. I just think Bush isn't that bright of a leader and has too many people who are ol' country good ol boys helping him make decisions, let alone they are all connected to the oil industry.

Another thing that got to me is that Bush wants to see more of Hybrid cars and Hydrogen cars, but all in the same breath, if Hydrogen cars are made more available to us, he wants to make stations which use 'gas' to power so that people can fuel up and well...we'd still be using gas. This is not the solution, but it seems no matter what we do, we are apparently supposed to use up the fossil fuels before we are going to be truly able to use other things as we want. There are ways to do things without the power grid or support the power grid, such as with wind and solar power, but they cost so much for ordinary folks to be able to attain them. That is the market though that would make more sense for people to start going to, but these billionaires aren't going to drop oil until there isn't anything left. They have the 'old person' mentality of generations which has put us in the state we are in, where they don't care about the future progeny or generations. We just have to hope in the end, we don't end up as bad as Bush and others in power are now, so that the people of our generations that get instilled will have a desire to look to the future as well as present day. This country has really fallen and I just am hoping we can get back on our feet and do what we should. Both Bush and Clinton helped in this.

For those who say Clinton was so great, let's not forget how he was paid off very well by the Chinese for his run for presidency again and now there are a lot of corporations there that took away considerable jobs here. Also, those corps don't have to watch green rules as effectively and China now is worse than the U.S. for pollution and all. So it's a question in the end if China is actually doing better or worse in some ways. The people there can also be hired cheaply and not make what they are worth. Clinton also bombed Iraq and the order hit all civilian targets, and he did a number of other things. In the end, both Clinton and Bush and mainly their administrations are the cause for the state of things today, not just Bush alone, though he's done a great job of 'helping' *cough* us to get to where we are today.
