As far as I'm considered, Israel has free reign to do whatever they damn well please. Hamas is, as has been stated, a terrorist organisation with no right to demand anything. Israel has been under siege from virtually all of its neighbours since its formation and they have followed international laws and respected ceasefires while the other side has continued to fire rockets at them. Israel is simply defending its land and people from terrorist attack. As for all of the ignorant comments stating that Israel is "bombing schools and mosques at random", they aren't. Every target has been identified by intelligence gathered and then struck. If Hamas choose to hide in schools and mosques then they will continue to be hit. Not Israels fault if Hamas are cowards and the people of Gaza (so-called "innocents) refuse to co-operate and hand in the terrorists. They are causing their own suffering.

By saying that he protected his predictions from being false. What he is basically saying is "I am telling you the future, but if I'm wrong then you obviously did something to change it. I was still right". It is impossible to predict the exact future without some doubt. It is possible, however, to make predictions on the far past and future by using statistical probability. This assigns a probability to all possible paths to the future/from the past and then works out which one is most likely. It works quite well, and is certainly more trustworthy.
Lol it's ok xD The thing is, I still think there should be basic human rights but a new definition of what is considered human (and yes I realise that this will create a tiered society, but who's to say that won't work? Examples of previous tiered societies are very welcome =]). We all deserve basic human rights because we are all considered "human" by society. But some people don't seem to want to exist in normal lawful society, and so I propose they be downgraded. Simple as that.
And here I was thinking the "prophecy" said that the world will end as we know it. How is that a bad thing? I see nothing in that to say that we are all going to die.

Most Christians ignore the Old Testament meaning ignoring half half of "gods word". That makes a lot of sense. As does a being existing before space and time, the only thing which can contain matter (the substance which makes up all solid masses in the universe) as well as energy (which makes up the rest). The reason we are getting all "logical" is because the universe is based on fact. We observe, we guess, we observe some more, we create a theory, we prove that is pretty likely to be true based on observation. We don't go "Oh it might be this, because I heard it in a dream from god" and run with it. The universe doesn't run on maybes. How many animals in nature do you know do get married? Most animals do not stick to the one partner for mating. We are also not the only species to have sex for pleasure (again document by science, but theists don't seem to think that that is a valid reason for making a statement). God make sex pleasurable so that he could blame and punish us for more when we are unable to resist temptation. The only reasonably scientific theory I have heard that can address the problem of "an eternal being" is one where there are an infinite series of universes each with a god. Each god then creates the god in the next universe and so on. But this contradicts logic in that it is an infinite loop and they are not allowed.

xD Slightly wrong end of the stick. It is my fault really. When I use the word "social" I don't mean in the general sense. I mean in terms of how an individual is treated by society as a whole, not by other individuals.
It never said once in that article that the children themselves would be told the results of the test, it goes straight to their parents. As CtR said, many parents don't even realise their child is overweight (or at least, refuse to admit it) and being told in black and white how their child is fairing could be very beneficial. On the other hand, the BMI index can be woefully inaccurate as it only takes your height and weight into account. Although most of these problems are connected to people who are very muscular as they could come up as obese and have very little body fat. This obviously does not apply to children.
