I only have time to give cnc to one drawing, the time down here is l i m i t e d! I'll try my best to tell you what you wish to know, Rosey. :3 First of all, the main problem with the composition would be the lack of shape, right now her body looks very stiff, very tense and very flat. And to make it more realistic hight wise you should add her feet, or add more lenght to the skirt - for some reason she seemed too short for me? I can see a hint of guide lines/orbs, keep that up! :D I bet you noticed it's easier to keep track of what it is you're doing when you use them, right? (or it may just be me.. meh) Just keep studying the different tricks that tutorials contains (maybe you've found one I don't know of? All tuts are useful). I know this was only a 30 minute job and with a damaged elbow, but just keep in mind it's suggestions until it sticks, eventually they'll just come naturally as you draw. :> About her hair, the strands of hair are... too few, maybe - with so few lines it gives an impression of thick hair, and less smooth - almost as if it's dirty, you know? My advice would be to be more daring with your lines when you draw hair, it can be very playful both in comics and in real life. Some parts will stay highlighted, others shadowed, this will add the "waves" of the hair - the sharper you make them the more curly they will become. The eyes doesn't have pupils as far as I can see, that's why she looks so.. empty for emotions. Is she calm, is she happy, angry, worried, what? You probably know that eyes help to show a character's emotion - these are just hard to figure out how she is. IMO, she reminded me of some sort of a spirit, one shrowded in mystery. It can be used to your advantage, though you'll probably need more shading on the drawing. Was it useful? >>;;

Can't believe I didn't notice this thread.. Obviously purple since it is a harmonic colour, the DarkOrchid looks pretty good for this forum so far. And green is really nice too, I usually stick with SeaGreen here - even if there's something attracting with emerald green. I have always loved yellow since it is a happy colour, but this one's too sharp fo rmy eyes. Maybe the LemonChiffon? Or not.

I was planning on drawing some family members today whilst in the sun getting burned.. ( yes, I got burned >>;;; ) But I lost the paper sheet with the list. :< So instead I drew Lexaeus, guy needs more love. I'll be sure to show you guys once I get back home, he didn't look too shabby. :3 Might draw Roxas and the TT gang at the beach too, it just looked cute inside my head. :D
