Joshua is not that powerful.. Wow. Four star 1900 atk, negates an attack that targets it once per turn (at this point it's really powerful) inflicts piercing (at this point it's a bit ridiculous) And if you call a flip right attacks do triple damage (This is the point where it's OP) with no down side if you call it wrong? (This is the point where it's broken.)

I understand that he's introduced using a killing edge which gives him an extra 33% crit chance, but normally his crit chance is fairly average, around 3%-10% unprompted. And while the criticals in Fire Emblem are 3x damage after all damage reduction, that doesn't necessarily follow that it should be the same in Yugioh. I really see no reason for him to be 1900 with piercing though. His Str isn't that great, swords are the least damaging of the melee weapons, his defenses suck (So he shouldn't withstand hits well without his dodge) and there's no bonus for over-killing something in Fire Emblem. Also, since he's rather unlucky in setting, and he joins your team after losing a coin flip, it would make sense for something bad to happen if you lose the flip on the critical. Probably not switch control, but at least doesn't attack or something. And then make the coin flip optional. Or maybe since he has such a gambling problem, mandatory two flips, both heads he gets a critical, both tails he doesn't attack, otherwise attack as normal. That way his crits are down to a more reasonable 25%, and you have a miss chance to fit the system(although he is accurate) and a down-side to help with balance.

Currently flipping Ojama Trio then attacking with Joshua gives you a 50% chance to do 6000 damage in one hit with a level four monster, and leaving two tokens, hitting one next turn with him would be game, while in Fire Emblem there's no difference between hitting something that has 1 health with 1 damage and hitting it with 100 damage. It also seems a bit odd that currently his critical can't help him destroy a monster. If he battles Vorse raider, they both die regardless of his luck. If he battles Stratos, he wins regardless of his luck. If he battles Cyber Dragon, he loses regardless of his luck. Perhaps scale back his attack a bit, then make criticals increase, or double (Or if his attack is really low triple), his attack.

    Edit:
I also feel bad for Knoll.. No effect until promotion, and bad stats.

Since the fire emblem wiki claims it's the only Wii game, I guess I have.. Though I don't remember much of it. I just remember going through some of the game ignoring the rest of the people and murdering everything with my main character and his pet wolf.. Or something like that.

Simorgh + anti-spell screws over most decks, and you were rusty, and E-Heroes aren't meta either. Brook isn't rusty, and has put a lot of time and effort into making scraps. Brook's Scraps, my Fables, they aren't meta, but that doesn't mean you suck if you lose to them more often than not.

And if you don't want to play against us because you're out of practice and you think we just want to beat you up, play against weak randoms until you're better.

He was running chaos back when it was still very big. If I handed you a Dino Rabbit deck from last ban list, gave you a brief description on how to use it, and then challenged you with anything outside of my top few decks, you would win without a doubt.

You have been told again and again that we think you're good, or at least were good, and that if we wanted to play against someone weak there are plenty of people that we could face already, and more than one of us has said that they do not enjoy beating weak people.. So why do you still think that's why we want you to come back? Do you think we're just lying to you?

Edit: Not that I think we should try it, or that you would.. But if I played you with one of my weaker decks, even without practicing in so long you'd probably beat me easily.

Yes, Grado. I remembered the R and D, and maybe an O, but i thought there might be a U, and wasn't guessing the A. I think I'm a bit before the plot lines rejoin, but I'm not stuck.. Just haven't played in a while.

Exactly my point. One-sided fights are boring, and there's nothing more one-sided than a thrown match. If Eirika could solo am army, and win by a lucky dodge, that would be epic. If Eirika could get knocked down to 2 HP in the first turn of the fight, then spend the next eighty turns going through every sword in her inventory trying to beat something with heavy armor that was dramatically stronger than her, only winning because it's 67% hit chance would never hit because otherwise she'd lose, that would be really lame and boring. The reason the lucky dodge win is exciting, is because it's random. You get worried that the attack is going to hit, or that your 3% crit firing is the only way to win, which is suspenseful, and then when it turns out well that's cool.
When you watch Yusei getting kicked into the curb by Z-One there isn't much suspense as to who will win, but there is the suspense of "How could he possibly win now?" that makes you want to keep watching, and makes it cool when he pulls out all the stops and summons Quasar. That's fun to watch, and rarely occurs in random.. But for it to happen in non-random, you basically just are constructing a duel playing both sides. It's not fun to play, but it might be fun to watch if played as a tense battle. When it does happen in random though, it's brilliant. There's nothing more amazing than being stuck hiding behind a single monster, then getting a lucky draw and through some complex combos somehow pulling together a win. Especially if you barely have enough damage to finish them, and have almost no LP left.

Edit: for those of you not familiar with Fire Emblem, a character that is not heavily armored, like Eirika, can go down in two or three hits from a reasonably strong enemy. Weapons all have a durability mechanic where after a certain number of hits, usually around twenty iirc, they are destroyed.

How would you feel if you were playing Sacred Stones and you were doing great, and had made it half way though the game, making skillful tactical decisions and taking risks, and had managed to get through with your only loss being a few characters dying tragically to save Eirika, But you were in a bad situation, and you hadn't realized that the enemy wyvern rider had equipped javelins, so they knocked Eirika down to three health.. And then a myrmadon moved in to attack with 89% hit, and 33% critical, with enough damage to kill.. And missed with both attacks. Then next turn, three enemies attack Eirika, all missing. Then to test something you had eirika charge and do the entire battle herself, and the game wouldn't let anyone hit her because otherwise you'd lose. Then you have to continue playing the game knowing that Eirika is completely immortal.

What fun is there if both players start the duel knowing that the good guy has to win? Much more interesting for all involved if there's always a chance of defeat. The first part was a tournament. Anyone could have made it here. Now we've selected for the deck that is most likely to win *coughexceptforthepeoplewhodiedoftimeoutcough* and least likely to die of bad luck. Now brook has probably come up with plenty of challenges, many featuring characters like Snow, who are run by other people thus allowing everyone to still participate, that Ren will have to get through if he wants to win and get a good ending. It's like if you were playing a video game without saves.

Ren is unfamiliar with the source material, and thus climbs the stairs for a vantage point, hoping to see a more detailed description of how he could possibly get to the castle.. Assuming the stairs are at such a scale and such a location that that is reasonable, and assuming plot doesn't intercept him while he is going there.
