It's not entirely untrue. As a person who edits wrong things into articles and watches them stay there for months and years at a time, I know. There is a handy equation that explains how the greater the real world relevance of a topic the less accurate wiki is and the more frivolous and silly the topic the more accurate wiki is.

I have what I call an irrational fear of death. I do strange things when I think of how in the long run I won't be remembered and even if I am it won't revive me in any way.
