{AAAAAHHHH!!!!! So sorry for not being able to post!} 10:25 AM Danny stared at his clock, debating whether to give himself a hard time for not waking up at 7:30 like he planned, or just keep sleeping like he felt like doing. SHIT! Quin's concert! No, that's Sunday, dumbass. Danny hopped out of bed, did his daily routine (wash face, brush teeth, shower, breakfast, walk dog), and left the house to take a walk. He went onto Facebook for a brief while and--- Oh my God. THE XX WAS IN TOWN FOR A CONCERT! The xx was Danny's favorite band, and they were playing at the Olympus Arena. What a nice beginning to what seems to be like a shitty day. Danny looked up at the sky to see a deep shade of grey looming over his neighborhood. The flowers around his house were drooping, dying. Yeesh. When did everything get so ugly...? Danny wished he had the numbers of any of his academic friends, his peers. The next time he saw Quin, he would probably ask her for hers. About 3 or so more hours of walking, Danny went back inside to write a new piece reflecting his excitement. He teared up a few times (from the happiness), but he managed to pull through. When it was done, he stored it inside his notebook filled with entire symphonies in them. Danny was extremely thankful for his musical talent, being able to sing, play the drums, bass, acoustic guitar, and electric guitar, as well as the piano/keyboard. He often thought of starting a one-man-band such as Five For Fighting. The reason Danny had never joined band or any musical programs was because he knew there would be snot-nosed kids everywhere who come from rich families who want to "round their kids out" by teaching them to play a musical instrument. I have nothing else to do today. So he slept again, phone at his side.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOO Hai Midny. :)
I will not care, really. I'm willing to listen to anything. It's other people I'm worried about....
I'm afraid people are going to start complaining if a member includes hip-hop/rap. This is a mostly rock/metal/alt rock/indie/folk site. Not into mainstream music whatsoever. I am going to ask, however, that no one post any music that we can listen to on mainstream radio. Expand our horizons. Introduce new bands. We already have Mixtape Mania for this, but I think that DJ time will bring this concept to a new level. Either way, I'll sign up sometime soon. I doubt I'll get voted to DJ, though.
detals plz

{OOC: Last post for tonight, guys. Respond to it if you want, but I won't reply until tomorrow afternoon.} Danny sat on the stone bench, dumbfounded. He couldn't believe Quin had actually talked to him. It seemed like a dream, really. "Got it. See you there," Danny said dreamily. As he watched her walk away, Danny saw another young man nearby. He was absolutely sure he had seen this guy before. Cherno?
Got it. /joining
{OOC: I'm finally using this. Made it like 5 minutes ago.} Danny was absolutely elated when he saw a hint of a smile behind that black scarf. She could be wincing from the cold, but it didn't matter. "Oh, I'd love to come to the concert! I'm not a big fan of classical music, but it wouldn't hurt to give it a shot." Danny was forced to listen to Mozart as a child. He could not have loathed the composer any more than he did as of now. "When is it? And that sucks. I'd like to see your work, though!"
Good job, son. You started a conversation. "Yeah, I do." Danny wondered how she knew. It wasn't visible, since he didn't carry around his guitar around with him. Well, not most of the time. Maybe someone else did and... Damn. Word moves quickly, doesn't it? Now for the second question. How is playing the violin and the guitar different? To start, a violin uses a bow. You can also strum, but Danny had never seen someone do that before. A violin has four strings; a guitar (be it acoustic or electric) has six strings. Both are played under different circumstances. Violins are used in orchestras. For classy meetings. Guitars are used for less mellow music. They are used at parties, concerts, and other things of the sort. "Yeah, I guess they're not so different." He smiled. "Do you write any songs yourself?" Danny asked.
