"Shall we let bygnoes be bygones?" Alek chuckled with a smile. He nodded and gave a slight bow. "Of course." He strolled backwards into his dormitory, snagging his spear resting on the central table in his small room. He slipped into the hallway silently, dipping to the outside of the academy momentarily. He gazed into the mass of trees. Time to go. ... Alek weaved through the low-hanging branches of the trees. A worrying sound had echoed through his ears only moments before. He slashed through the more brambly branches with his spear, sending small shattering bits into the wet soil, reflected by the bright moon. There! A group of cadets, seeming to be consistent of Nikki, Misa, Phillip, and what seemed to be Lucifer. He slashed through the last clump of thorny branches, stumbling out into their location. "What happened?" He bellowed, dropping to his knees.

I let my feet trip backwards, carrying my flailing body. I collapse over the couch's back, falling with a start on the plush cushions. I let my eyes swim, coming into desperate focus on the ceiling. I would laugh, maybe, if I were at home. Maybe just a breathy chuckle. But no, not here. Here, I cough a bit and get to my unsteady feet. "I didn't mean to scare you." What else can I say? Haha, guess it's time for me to get a watch! No. She might switch personalities on me again and go after me with the curtain rod. "I... I guess I'm just going t-to have some b-breakfast." What an unfortunate stutter. I rub my temples and start trudging towards the horridly unfamiliar kitchen.
"Please. Attempt to be a gentleman." Alek beamed. A job. Yes. Brilliant. Perfect. He spun on his heel and adjusted his tie. He gripped the copper handle of the door and flung it open, finding himself face to face with a fellow cadet, that girl, Rosie. He gave a slight smile. "A job, was it?" He murmured, carefully concealing his previous stress. He'd never really seen much of Rosie, but to be honest, he'd never really seen much of the majority of the cadets. Lucifer, however. Lucifer he knew. Well, knew stories of. And knew about him. Lucifer was a madman, and a despicable one as such. Despite the fact he is unstable, the large majority of cadets had nothing truly against his personality, as far as Alek could tell. He could not abide the way Lucifer worked. And yet, something entrapped him to just see what fresh hell he would bring. He couldn't argue with it. He bit his lip and lowered an eyebrow at the thoughts of Lucifer. Not in front of the girl, he thought. "What exactly was it?"

"Well, your Highness! I would say it is going swimmingly." Alek took a sip of his wine. The glistening alcohol dipped down his throat as he kicked back in the hard wooden chair. His crisp brown shirt felt starchy and uncomfortable, though he would not usually mind. His brief moment of leisure felt unusual, and wrong in a way. He bit his lip and placed the chalice lightly on the table. He despised wine. This wasn't how he wanted to spend a day of rest. He would have preferred to simply make up his work, get ahead in his job. But that wasn't how it worked. Leisure was regulated, a sick kind of punishment for those of his thinning breed. Tortured by the free time, run through by the recreation. He got up from his chair and trod around to the damaged counter inside his dormitory. He gripped the chipping gray edge, watching from the bottom of his eyes as his knuckles grew white and sweaty. He was so bored! What could he possibly do? What compelled them to give him fun? He sighed, minuscule traces of his wine dripping onto the clean, if cracked, surface. Damn it. He shrugged, his dress shirt feeling more and more unnatural on his weathered shoulders. Why can't something happen? Anything? He would even appreciate a fire.
