Video Game: Ib Roleplay: Return to the Fabricated World a Video Game Roleplay created by Mindstorm787 [Puzzler|Romantic|Horror] (OOC THREAD) NOTE: THIS THREAD IS BASED OFF THE GAME, BUT THIS STORY IS PURELY ORIGINAL. IF YOU WISH TO KNOW WHAT THIS GAME IS ALL ABOUT, CLICK HERE! -Introduction- "Welcome, and warmly-painted greetings, tourists and hobbyists alike, to Guertena's Museum! I will be your tour guide for today as we embark on a painter's mysterious view of the world around him through the eyes of his paintings. On the far left wall is the famous 'Lady in Red'. Don't let her beautiful looks fool you, she will steal your rose- er, heart if you're not careful. Spoiler: Lady In Red On the right you see a painted Tarot representation of the 'Hanged Man', another one of the famous paintings created by that of your's truly!" Spoiler: Hanged Man "And...what else...AH! Yes..probably the most famous of them all..'Goodbye'. This painting in particular has a special story behind it. A lot of theories revolve around it, but many agree that the story goes a little like this": Spoiler: Goodbye Once upon a time, there was a girl by the name of Ib. She was quiet, but kind, and she and her parents decided to visit this very gallery that we stand in today. But as soon as her parents let her out of their sights, the museum itself changed and twisted into a painted world so wild and surreal, but incredibly dangerous. But Ib was not alone in this dangerous realm. Two people, named Gary and Mary, both were caught in the Fabricated World, and all three made a vow to make it back to the normal world alive, together. However, Gary soon found out that Mary was nothing more than a painting herself, just like the world around them all. Ib, on the other hand, became smitten with both of her newfound colleagues, and soon found to love them completely. Sadly, Mary revealed her true intentions to both Ib and Gary. Just as they had found a portal back to this very Museum, Mary threatened to kill Gary and go with Ib to the real world, as she could not go out on her own as a painting. Just before that could happen, Ib stopped Mary by getting in her way. Mary had a special place for Ib, and she couldn't kill Gary without hurting Ib. Ib likewise, loved them both, but she knew that she had to decide who should leave, and which two would go. Now, upon entering, Ib had received a special red rose. The rose itself was tied to Ib's life; if it became damaged, Ib would die. With that knowledge, Ib finally made her decision. A decision that would forever haunt these gallery walls. She took out the precious rose, and ripped the petals off the stem, destroying it. With whatever strength Ib had left, she pushed her two friends into the portal, and she lay down, weak and tired. She died, laying in the Fabricated World, unbeknownst to even her friends, as the portal separating this world and the Fabricated one causes us to lose our memories of the painted world. However, Mary, being a painting, remembered everything. Both Gary and Mary came to this very painting, and Mary recognized this very painting as her friend. Ib, who never regretted her decision to leave her parents or life behind, was happy to save her two friends. Even as thorns pierce her own body, even as she seems trapped and unable to do anything, she smiles, knowing she did the right thing. And the right thing she did. "*Sigh*, yes, this is indeed by far the most beautiful painting that I've seen in the gallery. One man's work definitely is cut out for a viewer's emotion. Anyway, this is where we will stop. For everyone here, I am giving a scavenger hunt to find certain paintings around the museum. I am passing out lists for everyone in this tour group. The person or group who finds the paintings on the list described will receive a prize. Be mindful though, as nothing in this man's gallery is as what is seems." -Story- You participated in a tour of Guertena's Gallery and were first tasked to a scavenger hunt. The hunt involves you finding various paintings within the gallery. However, as you search the gallery, you soon realize that your parent(s) have gone missing. Something is wrong in this gallery. Curious, you investigate to find what exactly is going on as you dive into Guertena's Fabricated World. -Rules--1. As this rule is reinforced everywhere on the forum, I will say it anyway, NO GODMODDING OR METAGAMING! I know everyone wants to go over the top, but seriously, no. -2. Time isn't really associated with the story, but if you don't plan on staying active long term, then don't even join. You must at least post once every 2 weeks. -3. Your lives are tied to a rose from the beginning of this story until you leave the thread. You CAN die in this thread, but only for a short time, depending on the situation. If your colleagues decide to help you, you will return to the story itself. Overall, you must help your allies. Look at the Game Guide for more details. -4. Swearing and dating is allowed, but to be kept PG-13. Nothing mature in this thread please. Be mindful that this thread follows the standard rules of KH-Vids. -5. Any infractions that violates first 3 rules (excluding 2 and 3) already stated will result in a strike. 3 strikes, and you will be asked to leave. -6. Your character must follow a base color. In order to do this, color the Character Skeleton in the color your character description follows. -7. You don't have to play the original game to know how to play this. If you have though, I will let you know that you will be starting at the END and finish at the BEGINNING. -8. You may control certain NPCs for certain actions (e. g. Talking, moving, etc.), but I will remind you that all events will be controlled by me. -9. You can have as many characters as you want. Just try not to overwork yourself in doing so. Too many characters can equal too many problems, including memorization and story standing. -10. Check the OOC every once in a while for updates. -11. I have the power to change and/or establish rules.
I will make my OC to begin. The main thread will be pulled up. -Username: Mindstorm787 -Character Name: Sylar Memphis -Age (9-18): 14 -Image or Visual Description: Has short, straight black hair, khaki pants, with a purple shirt underneath a black leather jacket. Mind you, I'm sorry for not posting sooner. Having technical issues. Might be a while, might be a day. Difficult to tell.
Etrius attacked full force, knocking guard after guard, until he blew right next to Cat, charging head-on to one of the other guards that Cat wasn't targeting. The guard took the blow well, managing to stay on his feet. He disregarded his sword, and held up two large fists in a good battle stance. "I'm not amused, lunkhead." Etrius said, red eyes burning with annoyance, pointing the Oathkeeper at his foe, "You face me one-on-one, yet you use your fellow comrades for chopped liver. Dishonorable, much?" The guard only growled in response. Etrius just shook his head. Though he wasn't egotistical, Etrius knew that NONE of these guards, Captain or not, did not have any intelligence whatsoever. "Ok, just get a closed casket at the ugly cemetery then." Etrius said. Suddenly he was gone. The guard's eyes widened as he saw 4 more comrades get taken out by a black-and-red blur. Then, the blur turned to the current guard. The guard held up his fists defensively, but he was trembling. Etrius was getting closer and closer, immediately sensing the Captain's fear. 7 feet. 5 feet. 3 feet. Then, everything seemed to slow down. But Etrius didn't attack with his Keyblade. Not first, anyway. His right fist suddenly tinted, as he drew it, and weaved it around the guards arms, catching the guard's chin. As the guard lowered his defense out of pain after Etrius's first hit, Etrius threw his left arm with his Keyblade, smashing the guard in the side of the head. The guard, clearly angered this time, threw two wild punches, but missed on both. Etrius parried another, then ducked down low on a fourth one. After the fourth, Etrius poised both his left and right arms, and then brought them upward, smashing the guards chin a second time. Etrius put so much force into the attack that his own body did a double backflip. Etrius landed safely, but the guard, literally toppled like a wall. He was out. Etrius had stood, wondering why he had instinctively raised his right arm for attacking, and soon found out why. His right arm was emitting black smoke, as he would usually if he used darkness. But the smoke was only emitting from his right arm; on his left, the Oathkeeper let off a warm glow. "Darkness and light cannot exist without the other." Etrius thought. He was a bit surprised, as he never knew if he had any light whatsoever, but at the same time, he felt grateful. Etrius then turned to see that there standing behind him were more guards. They had their mouths hanging open, paler than porridge. Etrius surprised look turned to one of determination. He turned and glared right at the guards as he shouted, "Go ahead! Make my day! Though I'd love to take all of you maggots single-handedly, I'd like to leave some of you to my friends. If any of you sorry sacks of scum have ANYTHING to say about that," Etrius's dark arm flared with dark energy, and his Oathkeeper glowed a little brighter as he finished, "COME AT ME!" @Cat~ @Dr_Wigglz
At first Etrius froze and looked at Glen in spite of his question. He was a little annoyed that one of these puny guards managed to hit him (Again), but Glen's question set off the same chain statement that Etrius heard after he gained the Oathkeeper. "Trust in your friends, no matter the cost, that guys had said to me." Etrius thought. His body relented, as the darkness blew off his shoulders, and his skin returned to normal, just in time to parry a guard. Though he felt a little vulnerable in doing so, Etrius returned using a left hand for his Keyblade. He kept blocking as he walked over to Glen. "I still think I could take them." Etrius said stubbornly, but he looked a little more tired than he should. At most, Etrius' own darkness eats away at him more than it would take for hundreds of attack blows. Though he was a little more powerful, he was still 12. Etrius soon noticed a couple of the guards standing in the sidelines. They looked a little braver, as if some of them were using these lesser soldiers as pawns. Etrius gave a disgusted glare. "If their is anything I hate more in this universe, it's cowards using others as pawns." Etrius said pointing it out to Glen, "We're going to need to take them out as well. These lesser fools are weaker, but those guys need to go as well." Etrius than took off, zipping in and out of the guards to get to the stronger guys. But that didn't mean he didn't have to make 4 more heads roll.
Ok, that's fine. you can work with what you have. I'm just laying out the features in case you need them. After all, you're the artist here, not me. in the meantime, I will try to find a sprite relative to Etrius' type if i can. Edit: Nope. I'm useless...
Ok then. Since Etrius doesnt have the full picture, i will make a bit of a collage as to what he looks like in my mind. Spoiler: Etrius Head Base Spoiler: Etrius Body Base Spoiler: Armor Piece Etrius has a basic body type. Other then having a Keyblade Armor Activator on his left Shoulder, he's pretty much dressed basically. He looks like a 14 year old (12 in actuality).
Etrius just shrugged to Cat's reply before saying, "Ok, milady, but I will be picking up the scraps." He spun his blade and suddenly began swinging his Keyblade with his left, something he was never able to master as an amateur. Whether he was conscious of it was unknown, but he was fighting even better than before. He jumped in the air and preformed an odd-maneuvered Poison Edge. His skin never tinted, nor did darkness burn off his back as it usually did. The only thing different this time, was Etrius' eyes were the only thing that was red, and he was swinging his own Keyblade left-handed, which was very odd. Though unlike him, Etrius managed to dispatch 5 more guards in total. He spun just in time to see a guard run and freeze before Etrius. The guard let out a short shudder as he locked on Etrius's eyes. Etrius couldn't help but let out a short laugh before saying to calling to his comrades, "Hey guys, check this out!" He looked back at the guard with a sinister smile, and motioned his chin to the blubbering guard to look at his own feet. Unfortunately, the guard did so, just in time to see Etrius move quickly and stomp on the guard's own foot. The guard let out a hard scream of pain as he held his foot up, and hunched over. Big mistake. "This funeral ain't gonna be open casket!" Etrius yelled spinning and connecting his Keyblade with the guard's chin. The guard went flying high in the air. It was almost comical. Etrius jumped high and fast until he was at the guard's level, did a backflip, and smacked the guard hard to the ground. Etrius landed in a break-roll, letting out a whoop. Suddenly, Etrius right cheek gets cut by one of the swordsman. His cocky grin turn to a furious frown. He switched to backhand, and began giving off dark smoke. "Now not one of you is going to survive this." He said quietly. @Cat~ @Dr_Wigglz

you can qualify for a Organization 13 monster card! Interested?
Dat avatar.... @_O
I am in the middle of creating Organization XIII cards currently. I had a little brainstorm the other day and thought "Hey, when has anyone on this thread created good KH cards lately?". Here is Larxene's card: Spoiler: Larxene View attachment 37476 So far, I'm creating a set of cards consisting of Lesser Nobodies, Higher Nobodies, and Spells and Traps relating to each. Most of the Higher Ranking Nobodies will be a Level 4 or higher, while Lesser Nobodies tend to be more of pawns. Hope this is good.
VOTE #1: Cat. Like Glen proposed, she's increasing her activity and interest rate. Hopefully she keeps it up! VOTE #2: Luna. Though I would normally torment her controller over Skype, she happens to be a great developing player, not to mention some similarities with my own. VOTE #3: ?????
