    Chapter IV - Eavesdropping

    “Are the guards there?†I asked.

    “Yeah,†Isa replied.

    “How many?â€

Isa peered around the wall of the castle. “Two.â€

We were around the corner of the castle entrance. The castle was huge and elegant, and it had always made me stare in awe. What wonders and secrets could be found inside?

I was crouching behind a slab of stone in one of the short towers beside the castle, being as silent as I possibly could. Isa was closer to the corner, eyeing the guards. I looked around. There were two after all. I had seen them before. One was rather large and muscular, with short brown hair. He wore a dark grey suit and white gloves, and carried an axe-like weapon. The other had long black hair tied back in dreadlocks, and wore the same suit, but carried a long, blue lance.

“It’s almost time to exchange shifts,†I said. I had watched the guards exchange shifts enough to know when exactly it would take place. “Three… Two… One…â€

It was then that two other guards came and stood in front of the original ones. They bowed heads to one another, turned on their heels, and as the new guards took their place, the old guards began to walk through the entrance doors.

“The meeting must be starting now,†I whispered. “They must be needed there.â€

“Where is this secret door you found?†Isa whispered.

I motioned for him to follow me, and lead him down the side of the castle to a small opening in the wall, sealed off by some sort of metal door. I removed it easily, revealing narrow aluminum walls inside.

Isa stared at it. “Lea,†he said, “That’s a ventilation system.â€

I looked at him, smirking. “That, my friend, is our entrance.â€

“You expect me to climb through air vents?â€

“Come on, Isa,†I said, “The guards are oblivious to it!â€

“That’s because no one in the right mind would crawl through vents just to eavesdrop on a meeting!â€

“Exactly,†I said, “No one will expect it. Besides, we’re just small enough to fit in these vents. We won’t stay this small forever.â€

    Isa sighed.

I got on my stomach and began to crawl into the vent. “You comin’?†I said, looking back.

Isa rolled his eyes. “Fine. But if we get in trouble, it’s on your head.â€

    “Relax. We won’t.â€

Isa sighed again and began to crawl in after me. I crawled as fast as I could without making too much noise.

“How exactly do you plan on finding the meeting?†Isa asked.

I thought to myself. Then, I suddenly heard a noise. “Shh…†I listened. It was a man talking. Muffled, but audible. I tried to follow the sound, leading Isa through the maze of vents. The talking got louder and louder as I approached the meeting room. Finally, I came to a vent cover. On the other side, there was a wooden platform with a darker wooden railing closing it off. On the far side of the room I could see another platform, with bookshelves on the wall. Below us, I could hear the man speaking. “We’re here,†I said to Isa.

“Good,†Isa whispered, “Can we go now?â€

I ignored him and began to push the vent cover off.

“Lea, what are you doing?†Isa whispered harshly.

“I’ve gotta see what’s going on,†I whispered, removing the vent cover and crawling out onto the platform. It was ring-shaped, bordering the room, which was round. I looked down over the railing and saw a long, wooden table. Bookshelves lined the walls. This was the meeting room.

Sitting around the table was a group of men. At the head of the table was the man who was speaking. He had long, blonde hair and a beard, and wore a white coat with a red scarf.

On the side of the table, next to him, was a man with long, pale blonde hair and a clean-shaven face, wearing a white lab coat.

Next to him, his chair exceptionally close, was a small child looking to be about the age of ten. He had steel-blue hair that covered half of his face, light blue eyes, and also wore a white lab coat, which looked rather big on him. His face was serene and shy-looking, as if he had been through a lot.

Across the table from them was a man in the same dark grey suit as the two guards from before. He had long, black hair, and his face looked oddly suspicious. He wore a tattered red scarf around his neck.

There were two empty chairs at the table; one next to the big, black-haired man and one at the opposite end of the man who was speaking. Standing around the room were the thirteen security guards, all in dark blue suits and carrying long lances by their sides. I immediately set my eyes on my brother, who was standing at his post on the far side of the room. I was glad to see that he was alright after a long day of work.

The doors opened, and the two guards from before walked in. They bowed.

“We are here, Master Ansem,†the black-haired guard said.

“Ah,†Master Ansem, the man at the head of the table said, “Dilan, Aeleus, it’s about time you arrived. Take a seat. The meeting is just about to begin.â€

Dilan, the guard with the dreadlocks, sat down in the chair at the end of the table. Aeleus, the brown-haired guard, sat on the side next to the man with long black hair.

I suddenly felt Isa crawl beside me. “Lea, we’re going to be caught. We need to leave before we get in trouble.â€

“Relax,†I whispered, “We won’t get caught if you keep your mouth shut.â€

    Isa sighed. “Whatever…â€

“Now,†Master Ansem said, “Seeing as everyone has arrived, the meeting is in session. The topic of the meeting is, of course, keeping our beloved City of Light safe from darkness.â€

“Ah,†said the man with the long black hair, “Keeping Radiant Garden safe from darkness… Not succumbing to the dark… Protecting it from the dark… How many meetings are you going to have about this topic? We get it; don’t give in to the darkness! Seriously, what else could you have to tell us?â€

    Master Ansem sighed. “Braig…â€

“I agree,†said Dilan, “You’ve told us everything we need to know, time and time again.â€

    “Dilan…â€

“Is there ever going to be anything new to study?†said the man in the lab coat.

    “Even!†Master Ansem said, “Everyone… Just listen!â€

They were all silent. “I will give you something new to study,†he continued. He looked to each one of them. “Unversed have appeared in Radiant Garden.â€

There were whispers among the group of men. I watched curiously.

    “Unversed?†Braig said.

“They are the creatures the security guards have been fighting,†Master Ansem said.

“We’ve seen them,†Aeleus said, “Just a moment ago before you summoned us today. There was a child trying to enter the castle… Said a friend of his was here. Before I knew it there was a gigantic robotic-looking creature in front of us. The kid went after it… We tried to get him to safety, but then Even came out and said you needed us. He told us to let him go.â€

“He was perfectly capable of handling the creature himself,†Even said. “And for the record, I did see him not too long ago. He rescued Ienzo here from a pack of those Unversed beings. He does seem remarkably strong for his age.â€

I couldn’t help but think… Were they talking about Ventus?

“So you have all seen these Unversed?†Master Ansem said.

The men around the table nodded. Braig, who was reclinging in his chair, smirked. “I’ve seen them, alright. Little dark creatures running around town? Shot down quite a bunch of them the other day.â€

Master Ansem continued. “They are the reason our security has dwindled and the guards are more and more at risk each day. I do not know much about them yet, but they are definitely born from darkness. Even, I will need you to study them carefully. You will need to find one, capture it, and perform studies so that we may eliminate them as a threat to our world.â€

Even nodded. “Of course, Master.†He looked to the child next to him. “Ienzo, you can come with me. It will be part of your training.â€

Ienzo blinked up at him, but did not say a word.

“Another thing I must add,†Master Ansem said, “I know that the Unversed must have originated from a far more powerful source.â€

Braig leaned closer. “You mean there is someone out there who is producing these creatures?â€

“Exactly,†Master Ansem said. “Whoever this person is… They must have immense power beyond our own beliefs.â€

Braig shifted in his chair. His expression showed that he was interested. I glanced at Reno, who was watching intently.

“Do you y idea who this ‘source’ may be?†Even asked.

“At the moment,†Master Ansem said, “I am completely perplexed.â€

Isa suddenly nudged me. “Where did that big guy go?â€

I looked down. One of the chairs was empty; Dilan was gone.

My heart suddenly seemed to stop. “I think I have a hunch…â€

We both turned around, only to see Dilan’s bulky face staring strictly down at us. Isa put his hand to his forehead and sighed.

    “Heheh…†I said anxiously, “Hello…â€

Hey. Sorry it took me a while but here are the next two chapters!

P.S. I will be making a TRAILER for The Flurry: FINAL CUT and putting it on my YouTube page as well as the website! And if anyone is interested, I might start a fan art contest!

    Chapter II - Arlene

I made my way down to the Fountain Court. It was beautiful there; lined by tall stone walls, covered in ivy and moss. The streets were paved with stone as well. But the most fascinating sight was the elegant fountain. The fountain had three levels: The base, made up of two platforms, middle, made of one, connecting the two top platforms. The water that ran down the fountains was painted violet by the beautiful lilac-blue sky. I inhaled the fragrant air and then breathed it back out. When I did, I caught sight of my girlfriend, Arlene, standing by the fountain.

Her hair was short, blonde and slicked back, except for two small locks of hair as bangs on the side of her face. Her eyes were a bright blue-green and they made my heart leap whenever my own eyes met them. I approached her with a smile on my face and she looked at me, grinning.

    “Hey, Arlene,†I said.

    “Lea,†She replied, “You’re not late this time.â€

“I made sure to get here in time, for you,†I said.

Arlene blushed. “You’re so sweet, Lea.â€

I smiled. It was nice to know that someone loved me like I loved them.

“Come on,†Arlene said, “Let’s take a walk.†I nodded and put my arm around her as we began to walk up the stairs in the direction of the marketplace.
I thought up something to start a conversation. “My brother is on duty today,†I said.

“Too bad I guess,†Arlene said, “But sometimes you just have to suck it up.â€

Suck it up? My brother could be killed. How could I suck it up? “He… Could be hurt…â€

“Well,†she said, “If he’s got half a brain he’ll survive. Honestly, the people they choose as security guards… I could do better than those losers.â€

    “…Losers?†I said.

“Hey, not saying your brother is one. Some of the security guards are just so stupid they make my blood boil…â€

I looked at her. “Right…†I didn’t think that. Some of the security guards were Reno’s best friends. They were not idiots.

Arlene suddenly looked up when we came to the marketplace. “Yes,†she said excitedly, “Shopping!â€

I personally thought clothes shopping was icky. As long as I had something to wear and it wasn’t ridiculously embarrassing I was fine. Arlene, on the other hand, was obsessed with clothes.

She ran enthusiastically into a store and began looking at the clothes. I walked in after her as she held out a blue dress. “Do you think this will look good on me?â€

I shrugged. “If you like it, get it.â€

“But do YOU like it?†she asked.

I stared at the dress. Personally I thought she looked fine in anything.

“Fine,†she said, and put it back, only to hold up a different silver one. “How about this?â€

“I’m okay with anything you wear,†I said.

Arlene frowned. “That’s not very supportive.â€

I was confused. How was it not supportive? I thought she was beautiful no matter what she wore.

“Just help me pick something,†Arlene said.

“Alright,†I said, “That dress looks fine.â€

“You think so?†She looked at it. “Nah, I hate it.†She put it back.

    I rolled my eyes.

“How about this?†she said, holding up an emerald green one.

    “It’s nice,†I said.

“Ew,†she said, and put it back. I sighed. Finally she found a blue-green dress that matched her eyes. “I like this one.â€

    “Alright,†I said.

    “Now for a second one…â€

I sighed and took a seat on a bench. This was going to be a long day.

We finally left the marketplace a few hours later. Arlene had made me hold her countless shopping bags, and she only held one. I was just happy to help, although my arms hurt.

“Thank you for walking me home,†Arlene said as we reached her house.

“Don’t mention it…†I said, placing the bags down in the hallway as she opened the door.

“Can’t wait for our next date,†Arlene said, “Next time it’ll be shoes!â€

Shoes? Oh God… “Can’t wait either!†I said. She leaned over and we kissed.

    “Bye, Lea!†She said.

    I grinned. “Bye, Arlene.â€

As soon as she closed the door, I sighed in relief.

“Shoes?†said a familiar voice behind me. “How on Earth are you going to handle that?â€

I turned around to see Isa leaning against a lamp post. “I’ll manage,†I said, walking up to him.

“Really, now…†Isa said, “How was your date?â€

    I sighed, looking down. “Exhausting…â€

Isa stood up and put his hand on my shoulder. “Then maybe she’s not for you.â€

I looked at him in shock. “How could you say that? We’re meant to be. I love her.â€

Isa sighed. “Whatever. Come on. We still hitting the castle?â€

I had forgotten about that. I smiled. “Yeah! Let’s go. The meeting should be starting soon!â€

Isa nodded. “Then let’s start heading there.â€

    Chapter III - Ventus

We began making our way toward the huge castle at the center of Radiant Garden. “You’re sure about this door you saw?†Isa said.

"Yeah," I said, "There's totally a door on the side of the castle. Must be some secret passage or something. The guards are completely oblivious to it!"

"Are you sure you still want to do this?" Isa asked, "If we're caught, we'll be in a load of trouble."

"That's what's so great about it!" I laughed, "The suspense, the excitement, the adrenaline in your veins..." We were descending down a ramp into the courtyard of Radiant Garden, when suddenly a long, wooden object fell out of nowhere in front of us. I walked over to it and picked it up, swung it around a few times. It looked like some type of toy sword. Then I spotted the kid who had dropped it, sitting there against the wall of the courtyard. He had short spikes of blonde hair, blue eyes, and was dressed in some type of clothing collaborated with armor.

"This yours?" I asked him. He looked up at me.

Isa turned back. "Lea, we don't have time for this."

"Lighten up, Isa," I said, "It'll only take a sec." I walked over to the kid. "You still play with toy swords? That's cute." What kind of a baby did that? I pointed the wooden sword at him.

He looked away and groaned, trying to ignore me. I felt the need to show off.

"Now this right here..." I said, whipping my frisbees out from under my vest,

"Tadaa! Whaddaya think?" I swung them around in my hands.

"Not a whole lot," the kid said, looking away.

How dare he? My weapons were a ton better than his phoney wooden sword. I bent down to him. "You're just jealous. I'm Lea. Got it memorized? What's your name?" I hadn't seen him around the Garden.

He looked down. “Ventus,†He said in a monotone voice.

"Okay, Ventus, Let's fight!" He thought he was so tough? I would show him wrong.

"Fight?" he said, "Why would I want to do that?"

"You scared of losing?" I taunted. "C'mon." I leapt back and got into my stance. "Hope you're ready!"

Ventus sighed and looked away, and then suddenly looked up at me playfully. He grabbed his wooden weapon and began to stand.

    “Yeah! Now we’re talkin’,†I said.

Ventus got into his own stance. “You’re gonna be sorry!â€

    Isa chuckled once to himself.

We charged at each other. He swung at me with his sword and I blocked with my frisbees. He swung again and I blocked with one, throwing the other at him. He ducked and swung at me, hitting me in the side. I winced but shook it off, leaping to the side and throwing my frisbees at him. He deflected them with his sword and charged at me. I avoided him again and again, and he kept on hitting me when I didn’t expect it. I was soon growing tired, and began panting. It seemed I had underestimated him by a lot. The kid really had some bite to him.

Before long, Ventus swung at me and hit me hard in the chest, knocking the wind out of me. I fell over onto the ground, still panting. “You… Had enough? ‘Cause I’m willing to… Call it a draw if you are.†I couldn’t believe he had beaten me. At least I could keep my dignity by not letting him know that. But I think he already did.

“Huh?†Ventus said, and broke out of his stance. He seemed barely phased by the fight. The kid must have been trained well. He chuckled. “Right.â€

Isa came over to me. “From where I stood, the only thing you drew was a big L on your forehead for ‘Loser,’ ‘Lame,’ ‘Laughable…’â€

I looked back at him, surprised. “Wha-- Isn’t this the part where ya… Cheer me up or somethin’?†I crossed my arms. “‘You’re just havin’ a bad day,’ or… ‘That’s what you get for pullin’ your punches!’†I sighed. “Some friend.â€

“Oh,†Isa said playfully, “You mean I was supposed to lie.â€

I looked down. “You see what I gotta put up with?†I said to Ventus, lying down on the street with my hands behind my head, “Sure hope you don’t have friends like him.†I grinned.

Ventus smiled, and then began to laugh. Isa began to laugh as well. Then I noticed how funny that was, and I joined in laughing as well.

When we stopped, Isa looked down at me. “Lea, we have to go.â€

“Kay,†I said, and stood up. Isa began to walk toward the castle.

    Ventus looked at me. “Already?â€

I looked back at him. “I’ll see ya when I see ya. After all, we’re friends now.â€

    Ventus smiled.

I smiled as well. “Get it memorized.â€

    “Okay, Lea,†Ventus said.

I walked toward Isa. “What is it with you and picking up stray puppies?†he asked.

I thought. I knew someday I would die. And when I did, I didn’t want to be forgotten. I looked up at him. “I want everybody I meet to remember me. Inside people’s memories, I can live forever.â€

    “I know I wonâ€et you,†Isa said, “Believe me, I try all the time.â€

“See? I’m immortal!†I said, and smiled at him.

Isa stared at me and grinned. “You’re obnoxious.†He looked up at the castle. We were close.

I looked as well. “You ready?†I said excitedly. I stared up at the castle. It was beautiful… It held so many secrets inside it that I couldn’t even begin to imagine.

Isa looked at me. “Well, I can tell you are.â€

I nodded. “Yeah.†And with that, we left Ventus to go about his own business and continued on toward the castle. I didn’t know much about that kid… But I could tell there was something important about him. It wouldn’t be the last time I saw his face.

Axel's Story is my original fan fiction. I decided to write a new version, FINAL CUT which will be along the same lines as Axel's Story but it will be more detailed and fit the KH plot better. The next few chapters will be coming soon. I am planning to do two or three at a time.

    Hey everyone!

I'm sure some of you may have heard of my fan fiction, The Flurry: Axel's Story. And if you have read it, you may know that there are a few... Er, bugs in it. I've gotten good reviews, but I'll be honest, I did not put my all into it. There were a few parts inaccurate to the KH story and a few things I would like to change personally as well. So to polish it off, I am writing The Flurry: FINAL CUT. Plus, I have made an entire website for my fan fiction! I will post the chapters here as well, but I would like to get a few views on my website too. I put a lot into it, and I'll have my blog full of news and reports on when new chapters will be up.

The new story will be along the same lines as the old one, but a few different details, and much more details in general. I have decided to pull an Axel and "put my entire being" into this one, rather than just write down a few ideas like the last one. I will be bringing a few new characters in as far as OC's and Somebodies for the Nobodies whose Somebodies are not specified [yet]. It will explain a few details in the KH story that leave us wondering, such as the reason why Axel does not like to talk about his past. I am also changing it to fit the plot of another group fan fiction I am writing for.

So, here is the website. http://www.wix.com/wingedxxheart/the-flurry#!

And here is the first chapter of The Flurry: FINAL CUT. Enjoy!

    The Flurry:FINAL CUT

    Chapter I - Radiance

The sun warmed my cheeks as it shone down on my face through the window behind me. My eyes blinked open slightly, and then I rubbed my face and yawned, stretching out my muscles to prepare for the new day. I sat up in my bed and stretched my arms over my head, looking out to the beautiful brightness of the Radiant Garden before me. I smirked slightly; it was a place just sodden with beauty, although I had seen it all my life when I had awoken in the morning. I got out of bed and walked drowsily to my mirror, and then sighed.

“Flat,†I said to myself, looking crossly at my orange-red hair which fell behind my head. It always irritated me to have my hair flat and undone. Undone is uncaring, I always thought.

So I grabbed the hair gel from my nightstand and began spiking my hair up behind me one lock by one, until my hair stood straight out in fiery spikes. I then coated it in hairspray, poked at it a few times and smiled when I was satisfied. I rubbed my greenish-blue eyes until the sleepy dark circles around them disappeared, and then I went to get dressed. I changed out of my grey t-shirt and black pants into my favorite outfit; a white shirt, tan baggy pants, an orange vest, black socks under orange sneakers, and my yellow and orange checkered keffiyeh wrapped around my neck. I looked back at the mirror and smiled brightly.

“Lea,†my mother’s voice came from the kitchen, “Breakfast is ready.â€

I sighed. “Breakfast? But I need to meet Arlene soon!â€

“I don’t think you’d want to meet her on an empty stomach!â€

I groaned and rolled my eyes. “Coming…†I grabbed my frisbees, which I used as weapons, from the side of my bed and then hurried into the kitchen.

There my mother was just laying a plate of eggs down on the table. Her long, bright red hair fell perfectly down her back and she smiled at me, her blue eyes shining in the morning light. I sat down and began to hurriedly shove my breakfast into my mouth and gulp it down.

“Don’t eat too fast or you’ll choke to death,†a voice came from behind me. I felt a thick hand ruffle my hair and I looked up at the face smiling down at me.

“Don’t worry, Reno,†I told my brother. He smirked and pushed his long, red ponytail from his shoulder to behind his back. “I can eat. I’m not THAT much of an idiot.â€

“Uh-huh, right…†Reno said, his blue eyes glinting with sarcasm.

I punched him lightly in the side, when I noticed he was wearing his uniform. It was a dark blue color with lots of pockets and padding. He was part of Radiant Garden’s security force. I frowned. “Aw, Reno, do you have to go out on patrol?â€

Reno did a sort of half-grin and then sighed. “I have to, kiddo. Things have been getting worse around here. They need someone to look after things.â€

“Oh…†I frowned. “When will you be back?â€

“I’ll be home later than usual,†Reno said, “There’s an important meeting up at the castle. I have guard duty; it’s confidential.â€

    “Okay…â€

“Hey, don’t get depressed before your date, flame-head.†He ruffled my hair again and smiled. “I’ll be fine. Have you ever seen me get hurt before?â€

    I grinned. “No.â€

“Then relax, kiddo. There’s nothing to worry about. Heck, I’ve never seen any real action around here anyway.â€

“I hope you never have to,†I said, “And don’t call me ‘kiddo!’ I’m a man!†I puffed out my chest slightly.

Reno chuckled. “Right. My little man of a brother.â€

I opened my mouth, but then decided to let that one slide and stuffed more eggs into it instead.

“Well, I’ll see you when I get home,†Reno said. He patted my back and left out the front door, closing it behind him. I saw him frown before he closed it.

I swallowed my eggs and watched as he left, wondering if it would be the last time I saw him. But then I shook the thought out of my head. That was stupid. What could happen? Radiant Garden was a peaceful, friendly place. There was no danger here.

Apparently my mother had seen my worried expression and decided to take my mind off my brother. “So how are things with you and Arlene?â€

I looked at her. “Things are great. I think…†I shook my head. “Nevermind.â€

“Lea,†My mom said in that prying tone every kid knows, “There’s no need to keep information from me.â€

I sighed. “I think she might be… The one. You know, the one I choose.â€

    “To marry you?â€

    “…Never mind, it’s stupid, I know.â€

    “Lea.â€

I sighed again. I knew the speech that was coming.

“I’m not saying you’re wrong, but you know, you’re still only fifteen. I’m not sure you really know what love is yet.â€

I swallowed the lump that was growing in my throat. “But… But there’s just something special about her.â€

“That may be so,†my mother said as she folded laundry, “Of course I don’t know that, but you still have a long way to go.â€

“Yeah…†I said, finishing the last of my eggs and bringing the dish to the sink, “You’re probably right.†But I knew she was wrong. How could Arlene not be the one for me?

“Have fun,†she said as I opened the door.

“Thanks,†I said, and ran out, taking in the fresh, floral air of the Garden. The sun seemed to melt and trickle down through the air in streams of golden nectar, shining onto every cobblestone in the ground, every flower in the endless garden patches that lined the streets. Everything was bright and beautiful, from the petals of the infinite breeds of flowers growing in the flower boxes to the quaint but colorful buildings overlooking the street. This place was, as its name stated, purely radiant.

“Hey, hothead,†came a familiar voice from behind me. I turned to see my best friend Isa walking toward me with the usual blank expression he bore from his dark brown eyes. The sun made his bright blue hair look even brighter.

    “Hey, Isa,†I said, grinning.

“So, you going on that date with Arlene?†Isa asked.

“Sure am,†I said with a blush.

“Good luck out there, man,†Isa said. “Girls can be pretty complicated.â€

“Psh, I can handle it,†I said. “Most girls are, but Arlene is special.â€

“Sure is if she’s making you that happy,†Isa said, “You look even more flamboyant than usual.â€

I frowned and narrowed my eyes. “Shut up, moon man.†I glanced at the crescent moon design he wore on his blue jacket.

Isa smirked. “Well, get going, spikey. Don’t want her to think you stood her up.â€

I grinned. “Alright.†I thought. “Hey, how about after m hit the castle?â€

    Isa sighed. “Again?â€

“My brother told me there was an ‘Important meeting’ being held there today,†I said. “Could be interesting.†I winked.

Isa rolled his eyes. “Alright. But I tell you, one day we’ll be found.â€

    “Don’t worry,†I said, “I’m a master of stealth.â€

“…Right. Just get going. You’re probably already late.â€

I nodded. “See you around, Isa.†He waved, and I was off.

    Good news, everyone!

I'm terribly sorry that my writing has gotten away from me. Cosplaying and school have gotten way too much in the way. But I have good news! I have made a WEBSITE for my fan fiction, and I will be getting back to writing, but this time I am creating a new version of my story; The Flurry: FINAL CUT. It will be along the same lines as this one, but I assure you, it will be MUCH more epic and contain more combat, romance, violence, mystery, legend, and it will be more accurate to the KH story. So I suggest all you Axel fans out there watch this website for updates on when the story will be released!

    http://www.wix.com/wingedxxheart/the-flurry#!

Until then, you can read the original story on the website. FINAL CUT will be released soon, I can tell you that!

Also, spread the word to any Axel loving friends!

    Chapter VII - Heartless

Hello. Sorry again that I'm so late, and sorry it's so short. I've been very busy lately... So I haven't had much time, plus writer's block has struck again. So, I've decided to do this. You guys can post suggestions to things that you think would be good details in the story, and if I approve, I'll put them in, and even give you credit. How's that?

So, for now, here's the latest chapter. Again, sorry it's so short.

    Chapter VII - Heartless

It seemed like ever since Demyx joined us, Saix and I had been the ones having to show him the ropes, drag him around on our missions, and clean up the messes he made. And man, did he make a lot of messes.

It turned out that his element was water. He found the water deep inside him where his heart had left a void, and very easily as well. I rolled my eyes when he discovered it, as I had not had such luck.

First, we took him to the weaponry, as I had been taken when I got my chakrams. He seemed awfully frightened by all the members' weapons hanging on or against the walls. I could tell he wouldn't make a good fighter. Then we went into the closet off the weaponry and told him to choose a weapon. He looked through the many grey weapons in boxes, and then found the instrument called a sitar. Immediately, his eyes widened.

"It's a sitar!" He exclaimed, "I used to play one of these all the time in my old home!"

    I was surprised. "Really?"

"Yes," he said, and picked up the sitar. As soon as he touched it, it began to transform before us. It turned to a blue color, with white markings on the back of it. On the front was a slightly darker blue board, looking very similar to the emblem I had seen around the Castle, which I had discovered was not only the emblem of the Organization, but the symbol depicting all Nobodies.

Demyx seemed very amused. He instantly began plaing his new sitar, and named it Arpeggio, apparently a musical term. We were all a bit surprised and confused by his weapon of choice, but he showed that it did indeed have an effect on his water element.

Saix, Demyx and I were assigned to go to a world we hadn't seen before. It was called Twilight Town. We were to show Demyx the proper way to fight, and I was to learn more about the Organization's goal. We arrived in front of a large station tower. On the side of the tower were two large bells. I looked up at it in awe. It reminded me of the castle at Radiant Garden. I wondered what had happened to it...

So we made our way down a sort of ramp, or inclined alley, which there seemed to be a lot of in this place, having such choppy terrain, when in front of us appeared these strange, black creatures out of nowhere. They were rather insect-like, with antennae and scrawny arms and legs, and had huge, glowing yellow eyes in the middle of their round, black faces. Saix summoned his claymore, Lunatic, out of thin air, and I summoned my chakrams.

"What are these things?" I asked.

"They're called Heartless," Saix said, "They are what is left of a person's body after their heart is taken by darkness."

This struck me. "So, my body is still out there somewhere?"

"As a heartless," Saix replied, "But yes."

I looked at the Heartless. They were greedy, creeping scavengers whose only goal was to steal the hearts of others. But even then they wouldn't be themselves again, just as we Nobodies would never be.

"These ones are called Shadows," Saix said, "A type of Heartless called a Pureblood. They, unlike other Heartless, do not carry captive hearts."

"So," I said, confused, "The other kind actually have hearts?"

"They still have their hearts inside their bodies," Saix said, "But they have lost connection to them. Those are called emblem Heartless, and each have the Heartless emblem wherever the heart is being kept."

"Heartless have an emblem like us Nobodies?"

"Yes," Saix said, sounding annoyed, "Now save questions for later and attack it."

    "Why?" I asked.

"They are part of the darkness," Saix said, "And will do anything to take away the hearts of those who still have them."

I nodded, and then I attacked.

After we defeated that group of Heartless, we continued through Twilight Town. Soon more Heartless came, and this time they were strange-looking, more colorful, and had markings on themselves, most of them with them on the front. The emblems looked like hearts, with a sort of tail at the point, and an X crossing through them. These ones were emblem Heartless.

"Axel," Saix said to me, "Take a break. Let Demyx handle these ones."

I looked back at Demyx, who was wide-eyed. "What?" he said, "Why?"

"Axel and I handled the first group," Said responded, "Now it's your turn to show what you've got."

Demyx whined, and then nodded unsurely. He stepped forward and summoned his sitar in a splash of water. Saix lifted an arm and took me back a few steps. We watched Demyx as he tried to fight, but he was obviously not very good at it. He began to whack the heartless with his sitar, but it obviously wasn't doing much damage. Soon, he was being overwhelmed.

"Demyx!" I said, byt Saix wouldn't let me go. He watched Demyx. "Just let him fight it out himself.

A group of Heartless then knocked Demyx to the ground. He couldn't get up.

"But he'll get hurt," I said, "It's too much for him."

"Just wait," Saix said. I watched anxiously.

Then, Demyx's green eyes became serious. He gripped his sitar and groaned, water spraying up from him and knocking off all the Heartless. He then stood up, beginning to play licks on his sitar. As he played, columns of water rose up around him, forming out of nowhere. From him came about three forms of water, each looking similar to his shape. They fought for him, attacking the Heartless with their water form sitars. Soon, the Heartless were defeated, and Demyx let the water fall around him, flooding the ground. He then looked to us.

    "How was that?" he asked.

"Not bad," said Saix, "But you have to work on your defense."

    Demyx groaned.

"That should be enough for today," Saix said, "We should RTC."

    "RTC?" I repeated.

"Return to the Castle," Saix explained, and opened a Corridor of Darkness. "We use that term when we're out at other worlds."

I nodded, following him through. We all came out into the Grey Area, a place we would socialize before accepting missions. I sat myself back in one of the white couches and sighed. I hadn't done much that day, but I was tired. I was beginning to get used to life at the Castle That Never Was, and I didn't think much of it. I was also beginning to forget about my life in Radiant Garden, before I had become Axel. It seemed more distant than ever now. My eyes closed as I tried once more to remember the boy I had met... The one with the wooden sword. But I couldn't. I sighed again as I thought over my day.

But then my eyes opened when I realized something. The Heartless I had seen today, those were the creatures that had attacked Radiant Garden, before my heart was taken away from me.
