Asylum for the Insane - Project: Ragnarok

Name: Takuzo Akiyama
Birthdate/Age: 18
Gender: Male
Appearance: He has short and soft black hair. He usually wears a white dress shirt with black jeans and is some what thin for his height of 5'10. His eyes are normally brown.
Distinguishing Characteristics: Takuzo acts normal, but at the sight of blood his eyes will turn red and his personality will completely change. He's surprisingly strong for his thin body.
Personality: He is normally silent and has a sadistic personality, but when he gets blood lust he will become hyper active and openly violent.
Bad Habits:He bites his nails when he gets nervous and he will ignore people he finds a nuisance.
Fears: Heights
Back Story: Takuzo was one of the few people willing to go to the asylum on their own free will. As a child he was mentally unstable so when he turned 14 his parents abandoned him in fear. When he was 16 he developed his alter ego. When he was 17 he was sentenced to death for murdering 7 people by ripping their hearts out, but was released for unknown reasons. He's come to the asylum looking to become part of "Project Ragnarok" in hopes of getting rid of his alter ego.

Wow! I like the background and render that you chose for this piece, but the light at the bottom is a little distracting and maybe you could make it a bit dimmer. Also, I think it would be better if you made it "This is my prayer my wish" without the reflection thingy you put :P I like the font you used for "my prayer" :) Good job!

Not bad, but each of these has something that could be cleaned.

Firstly, you should never use straight black unless you want a widescreen border on the top and bottom. Always use something slightly lighter like #050505.

The image and the brushes used are a little too sharp and they do not blend with each other. You can clearly see a rough edge all of the way around the render and those blue ribbon-like lines crossing everywhere. The brushes might be designed that way, but the render should never be so obviously pasted onto your signature. You should not see those in a high quality signature, so I suggest working on it in future pieces.

The text placement is good but it stands out too much and I cannot determine a focal point because everything is conflicting for my attention. Never use straight black, like I said, and if you want some text to catch the eye without becoming the focus of the image then you should lower the opacity by a few percent to make the render stand out more than the text does.

I like this one but personally recommend getting rid of the border and making it a nice clean image. My suggestions about the text apply here as well.

This is a good example of where a widescreen border is effective, but it ceases to look like widescreening if you put text in the border area. All of the other corners are black, so the one corner with some not so great text makes your effort look a bit ugly.

All that you had to do make the dust go one way was make an image that was twice as wide as this one, make it full of dust, and then extend the image to double that width again and put it next to itself. After that, you blend the left side of the image into the side of the image so that it flows seamlessly. Like so.

Image that this is your image.

Now you make a new image that is double the width of that image, like this.

Or

Now you fill this with dust and double it again, pasting the image next to itself. If you want the dust to flow to the left, then you put the second copy to the right of your original. Like so.

Now you blend the middle so that it flows to the left, and divide it in half again.

Now you divide each of these in half as well, giving you four parts to work with.

<--- (Second Half Part 1) ---] (Second Half Part 2)

Take First Half Part 2 and put it in front of Second Half Part 1, accordingly.

This creates a closed loop, and if you keep making it, then you can have it run indefinitely. See what I mean.

Just move it as you see fit for each frame until it gets back into the same position you started with, and it will loop perfectly with everything moving to the left.

@Mixt: haha I tried to make the dust go 1 direction, but I couldn't find a efficient way to do so >_<. About the Ranks... I'm actually doing a Top 20 countdown of my favorite characters on my webpage so that's why it's there XD
