I knew you could change keychains but not abilities. It was before Aladdin's world when I finally realized abilities. I was like "look! He can roll!" After that I made him dodgeroll all over the place instead of run. Useful against Jafar.
Then it was gone in KH2 :'(

In KH1, Traverse Town, you could hurt your party members with the box, but only Goofy because he's tall enough. It also works with the vase in Agrabah. I wasn't even planning that, so it was pretty funny.

In KH2, jump on the skateboard, then jump off a high place and float to the next area.

    Parents

i understand what you're saying too. I thought that also, but that doesn't explain why he never mentioned them and they weren't in his heart.
Maybe his mom was bi-polar or something.

Yes, but only the Princesses of Heart are exempt from that. Apparently, their hearts are so pure and full of light that there's no darkness to make a heartless.

Which is bizarre when you think about it. Everyone has darkness in their heart, it's what makes everyone human. Are the princesses even considered human without that natural darkness? Don't you need darkness to have light and light to have darkness?...

He's just clueless. Very clueless. Roxas being born and Xion being created weren't his fault. Riku had his own identity crisis in KH1 and is finding his way back to his real friends and helping Sora. Sora did a lot for Riku too, so it's not like he doesn't care.

However, he was pretty mean in KH2 to the Organization. All they wanted was a heart, to exist, just to be. And even after he learned what a Nobody was, he taunted them about it and killed them left and right. He could have talked, reasoned with them, try to help them realize that there's happiness and help them get their hearts. Come on, he's supposed to be the good guy here, yet he acted like a total one sided jerk. Basically, "I'm light and good and you're evil, i kill you!"
Compared to KH1 Sora, who also naive, at least did the right thing most of the time. Like that whole cutscene in Hollow Bastion where he confront Riku and says "My friends are my power!" Square nailed the vulnerable yet very strong and heroic aspects of his character.
Then in KH2 we have him practically laughing at the Organizations attempt to exist fully, not even caring one bit about them. Did he sleep his senses away? jeez.

    Parents

sora and his friends spent practicall ALL their time with eachother, away from their parents. in COM when it showed people in Sora's heart (people like Leon, Yuffie, then people closer like Riku and Kairi), there were no new faces, therefore his parents weren't in his heart. so he probably didn't care about them. a reason could be that they're just bad parents.

i don't know if i'm explaining it well. but it makes sense to me because the way he desperately searches for his friends, like they're the only ones who care about him and vice versa.

i guess everyone has a different situation.

Traverse Town! The sky has stars forever and there are so many different colored lights and areas. It's way more interesting and has variety. Even though it's kind of peaceful, it gets very lively fighting heartless and practicing magic. plus you have that cool secret waterway and that bell. It's so much more mysterious. It was fun to get lost and find your way around.

Twilight Town is pretty and calm, but it gets boring fast. Everywhere had the same exact orange hue and even though it was spacious, it felt empty. There's no excitement or mystery...just orange and peace lol.

Maybe i'm just biased because i like everything from KH1 better.

^ Each world having a pure heart? That's interesting. but Destiny Island's pure heart isn't Sora because he had a shadow heartless when he "died".

When i read the title, i thought you were referring to Kairi. She's the damsel in distress practically the entire time. Getting kidnapped twice. *spoiler* Finally she fights back, and even gets a keyblade (the girliest in the world xD) but in the end she still has to be "protected" by others. But then we see Aqua, and from the looks of it, is a capable heroine. *spoiler*

It was sad and beautiful. It wrapped up everything so perfectly, very bittersweet. But the game was so long that i wasn't sad because i could always replay it. :)

Very offensive. Unless the enemy is really powerful then i attack like crazy then run/heal when they hit and go back to attack them and repeat.

    Probably a wizard one. http://www.kh2.co.uk/image.php?view=kh/artwork/073.jpg

they're fun to fight because they disappear right in front of you and when they do that lightning spell you can't hit them.

then again that Trickmaster was pretty cool. http://www.kh2.co.uk/image.php?view=kh/artwork/082.jpg

but i don't think i'm dark enough to have such powerful heartless forms. i'd probably just be a shadow or soldier.

When i first played it i didn't know what to choose either, but seeing the stafff and what it's described as, i chose it. i always loved disney magical stuff and having the "power of mystic" was a lot more appealing than some sword or sheild. Just look at my username :D

When I first saw the commercial i was in complete shock and awe. I had recently watched a bunch of 90s disney movies too. It was like magic was coming through the tv straight to me. I'd keep the tv on all day just to see the commercial again (now i have it in my ipod, thank you youtube and keepvid). I didn't even know what final fantasy or Squaresoft was, I just knew i had to have it. I got a PS2 for Christmas and later played the game. Even more amazing than i thought it would be.

Speaking of commercials, there was this disney channel thing called "Disney's Secret Lab" and a guy with a camera in first person would "sneak" into Disney's secret lab area and show the latest stuff. They had KH on it. He'd press a button and it showed the KH heart and a woman computer voice would say "Kingdom Hearts" and they showed clips and stuff. I can't find it, but I know Someone else could have seen it.

Their parents were probably mean/emotionally abusive. I can relate, and i can see why they're so connected to their friends.
