Kingdom Hearts Series

News covering the general Kingdom Hearts series, including merchandise and other miscellany.

Today is a great day for Xbox Kingdom Hearts fans, because for the first time, all non-Mobile KH entries can be experienced on the Xbox One, as all HD collections (1.5, 2.5, and 2.8) are now available to be purchased digitally on the Xbox One! In addition to that, it has been confirmed that 'Kingdom Hearts III' will be available on the Xbox Gamepass starting February 25th.
It's been announced earlier today that a new Kingdom Hearts collection will be coming to the PS4 on March 17th, aptly called the 'Kingdom Hearts All-In-One Package'. This package will include titles from 'Kingdom Hearts: The Story So Far' (which includes the titles included with the 1.5, 2.5, and 2.8 collections), as well as 'Kingdom Hearts III', and will be sold for $49.99, making it a great bargain for anyone curious to get into the series.
In a surprise announcement, Square-Enix has revealed that both 'Kingdom Hearts 1.5+2.5 HD ReMix' and 'Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue' will be released on the Xbox One in 2020! This marks the first time that the entire series can now be experienced on the Xbox One as opposed to just the PS4.

Square-Enix recently updated its job listings to include openings in Osaka related to "HD Development of the Kingdom Hearts series," with Square-Enix looking for a UI Designer, Effect Designer, and Technical Artist to join the Osaka team (the same team that has worked on every title in the series ever since Birth by Sleep). Considering the 'Kingdom Hearts III' DLC will be releasing within a few months, it is highly unlikely these positions are for the DLC, and instead feel like they will be focused on the next entry in the series.
In addition to getting an announcement for a new trailer next week for the 'Kingdom Hearts III Re:MIND' DLC, fans were also provided with a message from the KH series director, Tetsuya Nomura, to commemorate the 4th anniversary of the release of 'Kingdom Hearts Union X[cross]' in Japan, where he details upcoming details for the game, while also hinting at the future of series.
