To celebrate the upcoming release of Kingdom Hearts 2.8, Square Enix Japan, has released a wallpaper calendar for the month of January. This wallpaper is available for PC/MAC, IPhone, and Android and can be downloaded from their website.
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue will be released in Japan on January 12th in Japan and January 24th world wide.
As the release date for 'Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue' fast approaches, the game's official Japanese website has been updated with many new images to get a sense of what to expect once KH fans get their hands on it next month:

According to Hobby Link Japan and twitter user, aibo, toymaker, Tenyo, will be releasing a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle for Kingdom Hearts, specifically of the cover art of Kingdom Hearts 2.8. The puzzle can be preordered for 2800 Yen ($23) from there or from AmiAmi, which states that the puzzle will be released in mid-February.
There is also a listing for the puzzle on Amazon Japan, however, few details (or the ability to preorder it) are available at this moment.
Yesterday, the Japanese Playstation blog featured their own article about the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 2.8 and released a few new screenshots from the game. Screenshots regarding Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and 2.5 can also be found on the website. These screenshots (of 2.8) can be found down below (click to make them bigger!~)
In the latest issue of Dengeki Playstation, 'Kingdom Hearts' director, Tetsuya Nomura, talked a bit on both 'Kingdom Hearts 2.8 HD Final Chapter Prologue' and 'Kingdom Hearts III'. While a full translation of the interview isn't out yet, KHInsider user Zephyr was able to translate some of the main points of the interview, where Nomura discusses things such as no new boxart for 'Kingdom Hearts 1.5+2.5' on the PS4, how the remasters have never affected development of KH3, and the return of Reaction Commands in KH3 (now called Situation Commands and evolved to be less like simple QTEs).
