Me, I've never really enjoyed VI other than Kefka and his boss theme, A2 provided me with lots of portable fun though.

I'm thinking IX and VII will make it to the final

well it looks like FFVI is heading to the next round

and then we get the ever popular, FFVI vs FFVII

...all good shooters make you think about positioning.

And while Dirge of Cerberus had the very basics of good shooters, it didn't really do anything else to make those mechanics really excel. The transformation thing was neat, but it would have been cooler to have different forms to it.

12 is losing to 5, and that's justified

Not really. All shooters you just pick a spot behind a wall, barrel, crate, etc. and you just shoot. You don't really get that coverage in DoC, so you get to think about where to move around while you're shooting so you don't just end up walking right into the direction of someone else. Oh, and you're saying that like there a few good shooters out there. All of them are exactly the same thing

Kiiiiiiiinda, it's probably the hardest vote of the round. Both are good and flawed games.

Yeah I had trouble choosing too. Both are games I actually like a lot
Ended up choosing FFV because I've played it more times

If MY favorite one doesn't win you are all wrong and should be ashamed.

    Max Payne
    Bioshock

    Half-Life
    Halo
    Team Fortress 2
    Metro 2033
    Goldeneye 007
    Counter-Strike

These games are all different from each other. I've played all of these. They all have better mechanics than Dirge of Cerberus, especially in shooting (obviously.) You cannot stand still in these games and expect to win a battle (at least, not against competent players in the multiplayer ones.) Just look up what Half-Life did to improve shooting games beyond "run around and shoot and don't die."

I don't like to state bias, but your statement reeks of it. It's fine to not like many other shooters, but to think Dirge of Cerberus does the job better is a pretty big stretch.

I was the first to vote on the 3rd round. Let the hating commence.

Anyone else notice that IX and 012 are the only games still in from the first round?

And my inability to correctly type roman numerals strikes again.

    (I meant IX)
