Act I Genre; Horror, Mystery, Romance, Supernatural, Action & Adventure.

If the Extended section still existed, this would belong there. Just a head's up.

*Note; Your characters are not human. They can be a demon or a witch/sorcerer. UNLESS it's the Victim. She is human, lol.

This role play is the prequel to another much more complicated role play. That being said, this role play is meant to be short-term.
While it is heavily inspired by both the above song, and an Anime series named Umineko, it follows no specific story-line other than what I present to you after this and is, for the most part, original. Actually...I take that back. The story that comes after this one is completely original. The characters will be OCs only. The characters mentioned below are simply slots. Though...the position they play is set in stone. (For example; the maid has to be a maid, but you can change the name, bio, appearance, etc.)

There are eight slots in total, not including the coordinator (who will be me). The slot-system will be abolished in the role play that follows this one. This role play is immensely story-driven. Despite being the creator of the role play, I give full story and plot-twist power to each and every one of you. You have permission to kill any character (including yourself), with reason. You have permission to drastically change the character relationships. (You can reveal yourself to be the father of another character, etc, etc.)

That being said, by signing up for this role play, you are agreeing to all that is allowed.

Three more things.

There is only one hero in this role play. One mary-sue. In other words, there is only one stereotypical good guy to be played. ...And even she eventually snaps. So be wary. Your characters should NOT be all justice and good-prevails and stuff.

And as a fair warning, mature themes will be addressed. Everything will be gone about tastefully, of course, but if you're uncomfortable with violence or sexually suggestive (this is still a kid's site, guys. Don't expect smut.) themes...Stay far, far away. By joining, you're agreeing to potentially be exposed to some more mature subjects.

Sigh! AND FINALLY. There is no post limit. One-liners, paragraphs, novel-sized posts are all accepted. This is to help encourage a steady posting activity. I'll also be posting shorter posts than usual at some points, just to keep going.

Dearest Victim,

After an argument with your mother and father, you have run away from your relatively loving home and into the forest.There is a beautiful spot there that you enjoy relaxing in. Sometimes you pick flowers, other times you search for berries and herbs to waste the day away. This time, however, curiosity gets the better of you. You have been told never to wander too far into the darkness because you could get lost, but today your parents have just gone too far. Having been pushed into the realm of deliberate disobedience, you venture farther into the forest than you have ever gone before.

The forest doesn't frighten you...Well, not until the sun begins to set and pitch darkness surrounds you. You try to get home but instead of arriving back to where you started, you end up in front of the lovliest home you have ever seen. A gorgeous mansion stands before you. No, a castle! It's flooded with light and looks incredibly warm. You can ever smell the delicious scent of freshly prepared food. Perhaps they will help you?

Scenario Summary; The Victim stumbles upon a large castle and is welcomed warmly. The Lord and Lady of the castle invite her to stay the night and offer to have the Butler escort her home in the morning. The twins, children of the Lord and Lady are eager to have someone new to play with. She agrees, however, when she awakens, it is still night. The girl is thrown into an endless world, where the only logical escape seems to be to kill everyone and stop the cycle.

What the hell are we doing here, Jayn? I still don't understand.​

• The Victim stumbles upon a mansion.
• In this mansion are many dark hidden secrets that are to be found out.
• The workers in this mansion are not completely human. They are immortal, and have purposely trapped the human Victim. Mostly likely to kill her and steal her soul, or something.
• The Coordinator is not one of the slots, in reality. She will be controlling certain things though. If the Coordinator posts and says something like... "Kill the Victim." Then regardless of what's happening, the rest must oblige and attack her. She can resist. If the Coordinator posts and says, "The Butler and The Lady have a romantic encounter." Then that must happen shortly after, regardless of how things are going. The reason why will be revealed in Act II, but you can think of the Coordinator as a goddess of sorts, controlling the world when she wishes and observing the play being acted out.
• Though everyone has an alternative motive and is pretty much evil by some standards, they still have feelings and emotions. They still have thoughts and fears. They can have a change of heart.
• The Coordinator is invisible. No voice is heard, no acknowledgement is given. Those who are under her influence do not know it.

The Victim

Sexuality: Not specified, although would normally answer with pansexual.
Personality: A timid a quiet girl who can get embarrassed rather easily. She doesn't do well with people at all because she's has a bit of social anxiety. In her underlying personality, she's a bit of a masochist, but won't go to great lengths to experience pain, seeing as though there are only certain types of it that she likes. Alexandria dislikes it very much when people refer to her as Alex, and this is the only time where she will speak boldly and rather rudely to correct them, but soon resumes her actual personality. Most of the time she only speaks when spoken too and will often mumble her replies, cause a bit of frustration to those who talk to her. It seems she has a knack for getting herself lost without knowing it, and she's often curious about what lays outside of her home, which she often leaves to explore quietly.

The Lord

Donatien Alphonse François. He's quite proud of it. Someone once called him Doughnut; the offender's remains are often mistaken for a dadist sculpture.

28 at last count, though time seems to move strangely in the mansion. He professes to be a fair bit older, though at times acts a fair bit younger.
Type ~ "When wickedness churns in the womb of fantasy, out slithers something like myself."
A variety of demon. Calls himself a Faerie, though hardly the Tinkerbell sort. There seems to be some human in there, although it is often stifled.
Powers ~ "I daresay you'll want to stay on my good side."
DOMINION. Dona exerts varying levels of influence on others. This can be anything from forcing their obedience to inducing certain emotions in them. He can direct this force, with much effort, but as long as he is conscious (Bear in mind that he is tricky about sleep) it remains in passive effect around him, in which case the effects tend towards exposing or magnifying existing emotions in the affected. It seems to be dependent on his will versus the will of his target, and the strong-willed can resist it more reliably.
PHANTASM. Dona is capable of frightening feats of illusion, and he can make them ever-so real for the one experiencing it. In fact, it's questionable if he's forcing a skewed version of reality on his victims, or simply tapping into what already exists. He may use his powers to aid him in sleight of hand, to launch an all-out assault from the shadows, and anything in between--and, perhaps, some things beyond. His one limit is that he can only employ what his victim would believe... but you'd be surprised what sorts of things you can convince someone to believe, under the right circumstances.
WALLACHIA. Dona has a unique relationship with the castle; he seems to believe it is alive, although as with his other powers, it's a wonder if he's wrong or if everyone else is. In the ever-shifting manor, he always seems to know where to go, and is quick to discover new passages and wings. He may even be able to control the changes. He sometimes combines his first two powers with the third, to terrifying effect; even the other residents may be taken aback.

Rather tall, averaging 6'2", though it seems to vary. Cut, but not buff; his strength would surprise you. Always clean-shaven, always... at least, everywhere that's polite to display in public. Obviously, his eyes must be a piercing, incandescent hue of green; for them to be otherwise just wouldn't be right. Likes to play with his hair color, though he seems to be naturally black-haired. Oh, and although he'll deny it up and down, he blushes candy-red, starting from the ears. Dresses variably from wild and technicolor to functional and brown, sometimes blends of those.
Sexuality ~ "I'm quite interested in sex."
Pansexual, decidedly so, though he leans towards women. No pun intended.
Personality ~ "Of course. I love talking about myself."
An alpha male, first and foremost. It defines his every action: He does not just want to be in control, he is in control. He will take pains to establish his dominance... Rather, he will give pains, and he has no shortage of pain to give. A sadist, if you couldn't tell; but if you've fallen into complacency in seeing the word, thinking it a cheap label only used by angst-ridden children to render themselves twisted or mysterious, he will teach you the folly of assumptions.
Loves to talk. Not necessarily to hear himself talk, though he enjoys enough aspects of himself that we could assume it from the premises. Loves to talk about himself the most, though you'd be surprised how often you find yourself at the end of an hours-long spiel on his positive and negative traits, habits, and even a complicated break-down of his natal chart, still feeling as if you know nothing about him. He excels at concealing by revealing.
Also loves to hear others talk--again, particularly about themselves. As a natural extension of his control, he likes to know as much as he can about the things and people in his world, and the flow of new information and wisdom excites him like precious little else. That precious little else includes, but is not limited to: a good fight, a good book, and a good little boy or girl to break.
Mixes business with pleasure. Can shift between moods or activities at a blinding pace. One moment he might be enjoying tea and fine conversation with an acquaintance, the next receiving, ahem, "esteemed service" from a young lady, all without leaving his seat or changing expression. It's almost clinical sometimes, the way he flies through certain situations, though he is far from detached. More accurate to say that feels too much, too wildly (That's not quite it either, but it is more accurate).
A true, blue libertine, he finds morals quaint at best and despicable at worst. He enjoys pressing people's limits until they snap. And anyone he can't break, he wants to own. Not to say he wouldn't own someone broken, but he'd likely repair them. Anyone who resists him long enough earns a great deal of respect and admiration, though few can name a soul who's so done. He does have scruples, one of them being, predictably, that he cannot abide lies.
Typically apathetic, which limits his abilities. But sometimes, he gets a manic little twinkle in his eye. Most of the time, the other residents of the castle know to stay out of his way when this happens. He moves like a man possessed; whatever he wants, he'll have it, damned if the whole world aims to stop him. Lord help you if you're the one he's after.

The Lady

Drastically lowers the temperature of everything around her. The effect of this is directly proportional to her hunger. At its lowest, it entails a noticeable chill when around her. This progresses to frosting over her immediate area, and occasionally flash-freezing anything she touches. At its worst, she unleashes a snow storm of immense proportions. (PASSIVE)

Fran is unreliably able to channel her ice-related abilities. Any attempts could range from doing absolutely nothing to turning her target into a human icicle.

She can also unhinge her jaw.

Sexuality: Batshit terrified.

Personality: Meek timid quiet scared why am I here I’m just a girl what did I do to deserve this please let me go oh god

Bio: A young girl. A cold winter’s night. A vicious snowstorm raging. An argument with a parent. A rebellious forage into the forest. Her punishment? A frost-elemental sealed inside of her, and a forced wedding to the faerie lord of an enchanted mansion. She has made escape attempts. There have been oh-so-many escape attempts. None have been successful so far.

Due to said events, she has tried starving herself to death multiple times, without success, for various reasons.

Her true name is unknown. They asked; she didn't tell. They nicknamed her Fran.

Other: The elemental beast inside of her demands feeding to be placated. This is best done through the consumption of live beings, preferably humans. In a pinch, however, regular food, or even ordinary matter will suffice. As the beast hungers, it seeks food for itself. This is the cause of the frost surrounding Fran. If it is not fed for a suitable period of time, it will ultimately be freed and devour Fran herself.

The Twins

Name: Aliyah François
Age: They are still young for their species and their ages are usually judged by their appearance to be around eleven or twelve years old. They have yet to unlock their full potential as one gains power with age.
Type: Both are demons, kitsunes to be exact.
Powers: They have an extremely strong telepathic link with each other. At any moment they can know exacly where the other is and what they are thinking although they are able to block each other from their thoughts if they wished. They also have the ability to shape shift and change their form to whatever they please. Although they are twins, they didn't gain the exact same abilities and some were actually split between them at birth. Aliyah gained the superhuman aspects of her lineage and can move with incredible speed and acrobatic prowess and uses both to great effect by seeming to appear out of nowhere, but also seeming to be everywhere at the same time. Jordan, on the other hand, is more attuned to the supernatural and has the ability to bring dolls and inanimate objects to life. Loving to mess around with their victims, they work together, using their abilities in tandem to trap their victim in their little game.
Appearance: Standing at only 5 feet, the twins are shortest members of the household. They share the the same shade of messy blond hair and that mischievous look in there eyes which lets you know they're up to no good. However Aliyah wears a big bow in her hair to keep it together. They are usually seen in formal wear, similar outfits other than Jordan wears a suit and Aliyah, a dress. Both of the twins have heterochromia, Jordan's right eye is green while his left eye is blue. This is the same for Aliyah but the opposite way round. This remains when they shape shift but is not noticeable unless you really look
Sexuality: "Sex? Hehehehe" It's unclear if they even know the meaning of the word, never mind know which way they are aligned. They're still in the stage where they think the opposite sex is another species that can't possibly be comprehend. However despite this they are more than willing to experiment.
Personality: The twins are inseparable. They do everything together and are never apart. They argue a lot and are constantly teasing each other but when it comes down to it they care a lot for each other and couldn't live without the other. If one hurts, the other hurts too, you can't do something to one without the other. They always know what the other is thinking and have an incredible bond.
Despite how close and connected the twins are, each slightly differs personality. Aliyah is the older of the two and is much more extroverted. She is not lacking in confidence and is much more likely to take risks. She loves the thrill and will do anything to combat boredom. However she has been known to get a bit reckless and needs Jordan to reel her back in. Despite being the younger of the two, Jordan is the order to Aliyah's chaos. If her head is too high in the clouds, he'll be the one to bring her down to earth and smack her back into reality. Quiet and mysterious, Jordan prefers to stay out of sight and usually keeps to himself. But even though he's known among the members of the house as the quiet one, he’s just as mischievous as his older sister and sometimes is even more ruthless in his pranks.

The Butler

Other: His powers include fast reflexes, enhanced strength, and can track anyone once he has their scent.

The Lady's Maid

Personality: She enjoys being alone, for the most part. She's polite and respectful for the most part, but has a natural dislike for humans. Aww, Kelly. Don't worry about that at all. To be completely honest, with no butt-kissing involved...This may sound bad, but due to the darker themes of this role play, I thought of you. I don't know how to phrase that so it makes more sense. But I always love the...darker avatars/quotes and stuff you have.~ ​

Okay, well Kelly has persuaded me to join this but I'll say this now, it is way outside my comfort zone. I will try my best and hopefully it will be good fun. I am interested in taking one or both of the twins. If someone else wants to play a twin with me then I'll just take the girl but if not I'll take both. I'll hold back on the OC form until I know if I'm playing just one or both.

One moment he might be enjoying tea and fine conversation with an acquaintance, the next receiving, ahem, "esteemed service" from a young lady, all without leaving his seat or changing expression. It's almost clinical sometimes, the way he flies through certain situations, though he is far from detached. More accurate to say that feels too much, too wildly (That's not quite it either, but it is more accurate).
A true, blue libertine, he finds morals quaint at best and despicable at worst. He enjoys pressing people's limits until they snap. And anyone he can't break, he wants to own. Not to say he wouldn't own someone broken, but he'd likely repair them. Anyone who resists him long enough earns a great deal of respect and admiration, though few can name a soul who's so done. He does have scruples, one of them being, predictably, that he cannot abide lies.
A very hands-on sort of person, however you may choose to take that. Likes to do his own dirty work. Whether this is because he enjoys the thrill or because he devalues others, well, only he knows.
Typically apathetic, which limits his abilities. But sometimes, he gets a manic little twinkle in his eye. Most of the time, the other residents of the castle know to stay out of his way when this happens. He moves like a man possessed; whatever he wants, he'll have it, damned if the whole world aims to stop him. Lord help you if you're the one he's after.​

The castle shook. He, hunched over, trembling. He fell to his knees as a voice boomed through the corridor. It was wordless, yet there was a command in it. Rather, something like a statement of intent.
Dona's heart swelled and brushed against his throat, as if he'd puke it up any moment. It hammered in his chest and up through his head. It had been a long time. He wasn't ready. But once he adjusted, he could stand again.
The last of the order whispered through. The castle still rumbled. He put his hand on the wall, as if steadying a restless horse, and it began to settle. Then he smiled to himself.
"Under new management, are we?"​

This is the profile that Midny and I made together

Name: Aliyah and Jordan François

Age: They are still young for their species and their ages are usually judged by their appearance to be around eleven or twelve years old. They have yet to unlock their full potential as one gains power with age.

Type: Both are demons, kitsunes to be exact.

Powers: They have an extremely strong telepathic link with each other. At any moment they can know exacly where the other is and what they are thinking although they are able to block each other from their thoughts if they wished. They also have the ability to shape shift and change their form to whatever they please. Although they are twins, they didn't gain the exact same abilities and some were actually split between them at birth. Aliyah gained the superhuman aspects of her lineage and can move with incredible speed and acrobatic prowess and uses both to great effect by seeming to appear out of nowhere, but also seeming to be everywhere at the same time. Jordan, on the other hand, is more attuned to the supernatural and has the ability to bring dolls and inanimate objects to life. Loving to mess around with their victims, they work together, using their abilities in tandem to trap their victim in their little game.

Appearance: Standing at only 5 feet, the twins are shortest members of the household. They share the the same shade of messy blond hair and that mischievous look in there eyes which lets you know they're up to no good. However Aliyah wears a big bow in her hair to keep it together. They are usually seen in formal wear, similar outfits other than Jordan wears a suit and Aliyah, a dress. Both of the twins have heterochromia, Jordan's right eye is green while his left eye is blue. This is the same for Aliyah but the opposite way round. This remains when they shape shift but is not noticeable unless you really look

Sexuality: "Sex? Hehehehe" It's unclear if they even know the meaning of the word, never mind know which way they are aligned. They're still in the stage where they think the opposite sex is another species that can't possibly be comprehend. However despite this they are more than willing to experiment.

Personality: The twins are inseparable. They do everything together and are never apart. They argue a lot and are constantly teasing each other but when it comes down to it they care a lot for each other and couldn't live without the other. If one hurts, the other hurts too, you can't do something to one without the other. They always know what the other is thinking and have an incredible bond.
Despite how close and connected the twins are, each slightly differs personality. Aliyah is the older of the two and is much more extroverted. She is not lacking in confidence and is much more likely to take risks. She loves the thrill and will do anything to combat boredom. However she has been known to get a bit reckless and needs Jordan to reel her back in. Despite being the younger of the two, Jordan is the order to Aliyah's chaos. If her head is too high in the clouds, he'll be the one to bring her down to earth and smack her back into reality. Quiet and mysterious, Jordan prefers to stay out of sight and usually keeps to himself. But even though he's known among the members of the house as the quiet one, he’s just as mischievous as his older sister and sometimes is even more ruthless in his pranks.

Personality: A timid a quiet girl who can get embarrassed rather easily. She doesn't do well with people at all because she's has a bit of social anxiety. In her underlying personality, she's a bit of a masochist, but won't go to great lengths to experience pain, seeing as though there are only certain types of it that she likes. Alexandria dislikes it very much when people refer to her as Alex, and this is the only time where she will speak boldly and rather rudely to correct them, but soon resumes her actual personality. Most of the time she only speaks when spoken too and will often mumble her replies, cause a bit of frustration to those who talk to her. It seems she has a knack for getting herself lost without knowing it, and she's often curious about what lays outside of her home, which she often leaves to explore quietly.
